Is the rank requirement on pvp gear just for purchasing the item, or is it for equipping the item?
once you bought it if you drop down a rank can you no longer wear it?

It’s just for purchasing. You can still equip and use all the items you bought while having the rank, after your rank has dropped below its requirement for purchase.
Only for purchase, once it’s in your bag you can equip, unequip and use it as any other item in your inventory or on your character.

Congrats, the gear is decent, especially for some specific classes, like me as a Priest getting DPS items outside of the PvP sets is rather difficult.
At first the gear could only be equipped when you had the proper rank. #nochanges. Bliz caved in to the casuals…again

That would be insanely stupid to return to and was only in the very very first brief bit of the honor system, it was changed even back then.
I would personally say only leveling to 12 after all this time would make you pretty damn casual.

yes, it’s good fun. I’m tough enough to be of use in AV alongside all the level 60s, and in WSG I’m having a ton of fun. One game last night I was just unstoppable, GY camping 4 players all on my own over and over again. With a healer by my side I can kill everyone on the other team sometimes

I read as pvp gank reward and think: hey where my stuff at
I’m enjoying AV alot recently, except of course when we’re not choking at IWB. It’s especially fun roaming the FoS whilst we’re ahead and finding afew pick offs.
I only play 5 hours a night with afew pauses in between each match, gain on average 30k honour.
Currently rank 9 17% and on track to rank 9 52%.
I’m curious to see how far I can actually rank whilst working and juggling the family life.
