Only because the lives of players changed, why should the game change? Makes zero sense.

Here we go. This is exactly the kind of behavior that brought us the abomination that is retail.
If you have kids and a wife, you should prioritize them over the game. Or, play retail.
Honordecay stays at 20%.
I have no expectations that they would ever change the honor system, but I donât think that a minor nerf to it would be that bad. And letâs be frank - raiding is not the vanilla experience either. #NoChanges fanboys must surely be able to see that. Basically no guilds had MC on farm during the first couple of weeks with 40 lvl 60s in their guild back then and PUGs didnât really happen. And it is going to be the exact same case for BWL (that has gear that matches the best PvP items). A 16 debuff slot and the lack of item progression makes Classic PvE a nerfed version of Vanilla (this is also something Retail fanboys canât understand for some reason).
The factor of item progression do help you gear better for PvP. But it helps other players as well, so it causes no advantages over your enemy - which is not the case for PvE where instances and raids are not scaled to match the lack of item progression.
I am aware that in Vanilla PvE players was favored over pure PvP players gearwise with the former requiring moderate effort/time and the latter extreme effort/time. But in Classic it is really really low/no effort/time vs still extreme effort/time.
Also it is not true that you fall from Rank 7.0 to Rank 5.1 in two weeks since there is a cap of decay of 2500 rank points per week.
To be more specific, if your rank points would be less than last week the decay is cut in half. So in your scenario, you are at 25000 rank points - exactly at Rank 7. You got 0 honor points the first week of absence and you would fall to 20000 rank points. Half of the deduction (which does not exceed the cap) is 2500 rank points so you get to 22500 rank points. The next week you earn 0 honor once again and you would fall to 18000 Rank points. Deduction cut in half leads to 20250 Rank points. That means youâre at Rank 6.05.
Additionally, even if it was the full 20% each week, you would land at 5.2 and not 5.1.
These considerations are based on the explanations on Vanilla WoW Fandom/Honor System.
Nope.
They already made the Honor System easier later in Vanilla (the patch we are in), the way it is now is fine.
Could you please elaborate? I checked the honor system. It is not easier to get 1 to 13. Only 13 to 14 is easier which is absurd. Even the higher brackets have less %.
Then youâre not going to get Rank 14, exactly like someone with those levels of commitment would not get Rank 14 in Vanilla.
No. I had to fight 20% decay to get to Rank 14 the first time, so should all you guys.
#nochanges
Didnât stop them the first time.
That said the tauren warrior notorious for 24/7 account share farming on my server still didnât get High Warlord because he was still bad.
How exactly is needing to earn more honor than almost every single player on your faction for 4+ weeks in a row âeasierâ?
Itâs easier because if you are already there with the big boys, the final bracket is like 50% more players. But other brackets are reduced significantly.
You still need standing #1 (or #2/3 if you were on a significantly populated server).
That still meant grinding out 1,000,000+ honor a week on those populated servers.
To put that in perspective:
- You play 16h a day, 7 days a week.
- Doing nothing but grinding honorable kills (yes BGs earn more honor).
- Youâd need to kill a level 60 oponent youâve not killed that day.
- approximately 145 honor each
- 1,280 unique oponents
- Every 45 seconds, none stop.
- Solo
This was the very first reason i posted this, with this current system i am standing 30 on my server and i cannot get past rank 10 when i calculate the decay.
You maybe should have used the condom.
Not blizzards fault you got a kid.
The system was never intended to be piss easy to go through.
Your own fault for having a reallife with family and stuff.
The brain you have guys is astonishing. Too bad i am not a scientist and a doctor so i can examine what is wrong with you.
Classic needs changes, because we should play the game that should have been, and not what it was 15 years ago.
People didnât ask for âwhat it should have beenâ, they asked for what it was⌠and they got it for the most part.
The increased population caps were a horrible fix to a known issue with server longevity, but beyond that this is pretty much the 1.12 experience if you start on a fresh realm.
I say this as someone who hit Warlord(R13) back in âreal vanillaâ.
There is exactly zero skill involved. Itâs entirely based on your time spent PvPing.
I wouldnât say âzero skillâ, just not specifically mechanical skill.
You needed to have at least some team management skills if you wanted to lead the group (a requirement for Rank 14).
Shoud they mail you r14 gear too?
Been alot of changes, dont kid yourself
OP: No? Just grind.
