<PVP> Reduce honor decay to 12-16%

Hell no! It’s not even remotely that simple. With this premature pvp system release I’m spending the Christmas eve grinding only because they pushing out content like they’re having diarrhoea.

And you know why? Because i don’t know when BWL comes out, meaning that I have very limited time to get to rank 10, which was my goal from the beginning since it contains pre-BWL BIS items.

It’s not vanilla experience as it was back then - at least in Vanilla you could go with your own pace, and now you’re in a crazy rat race!

So, yeah, with those premature releases it might be a viable solution to reduce the time you need to grind things, since CHANGES TO THE PACE HAVE BEEN MADE ALREADY and now it doesn’t feel the same as it was back then.

P.S.> With the same logic they should’ve actually buffed MC to make it harder. I think the actual goal should be make the experience like Vanilla, but not to recreate the actual Vanilla, which cannot sustain the modern days level of min maxing.

P.P.S> Everyone is against changes only because we don’t trust Blizzard with it. And we have reasons lol

Don’t worry the tbc patch lets you buy that gear for bg marks and honor, you can have it eventualy. Whats next asking to make aq40 easier because you don’t have time to farm consumables for it?

in vanilla “only 1 per 1000 could get rank 14” now in classic it’s 5 per 1k
that’s already a change!

However, the 20% decay is only effected your Rankpoint which doesn’t matter much in first half ranks! so it’s like Play casual and get rank7, play hardcore to get more! “note that even if there is no decay at all? the no lifers will still fill rank 11-12-13-14 spots and casuals can never have spots in there”

Early vanilla you needed to keep the rank to keep using the gear so it was even harder to get to R14 since R14 would just keep grinding hardcore to use the weapons

You either get a choice between spending all day doing AV or doing other content/games.

Depends on your preference,

The only people that’ll get rank 13-14 are people who have no jobs/kids etc :stuck_out_tongue:
Do I care about that? - Not really xD.

The “average” is always going to be the most casual player possible. It’s the same in retail.

The problem is that you’re asking for a change for convenience. That despite having no time to play properly, the GAME should still design what YOU want to do with no time to play, to be accomplishable for YOU.

I see lots of people with a ton of hours to play. I see players online from sunrise 'til sunset even.

It’d just make it more casual-friendly and make the “rewards” more common even faster.

You see, the time required to play to rank up is only relative to the other players on your server and same faction. So you just need to end up in a bracket where you still progress in your rank, in order to avoid the downrank.
What your proposed change would do, would make even MORE of those brackets reward rank progression.
Which just serves to trivialize it more.

Basically you’re turning what’s supposed to be an intrinsic reward, into more of an extrinsic reward.

If you don’t have time to do it, then accept the fact that you won’t be able to accomplish it. Don’t casually ask the game to be designed for you, without even being aware of the consequences as a whole.

It’s not a secret that top 10 players of each realm use bots and cheats to bypass the queues ( especially the ones that already made 1 million honor this week, despite 25 mins queues) but seems like it’s not that big problem ,blizzard?

To all the #nochanges diehards here, I’m with OP on this one. Anyone that has a full time job and doesn’t live with their parents anymore will NEVER reach a rank above 10, rank 10 being already really hard to achieve.

A high rank will only be available to those who:

  • Are still going to school
  • Don’t have a job for whatever reason or barely have to work

I personally don’t mind much because PvE gear is easy to obtain and I’m guessing BWL will be on farm a few weeks after its release. However, can’t disagree with OP.

You mean exactly like how it was in vanilla?

You think people who are at school from 09:00 to 16:30 can keep up with the NEETs for Honor rankings?

Not a chance.

If they were to make changes… how about they change the whole system to something less retarded? Maybe just make the gear farmable with time like in TBC prepatch. You think going from 20% decau to 16% would have any impact? Maybe its better for you to accept ur not gonna be getting the high ranks. Some ppl had wife and kids back in the day too!

I am for no !

Aaand for :

and

Maybe you should just give up.

I’m in the “never again” camp.

High ranks is not for everyone. Cant commit; then its not for you.
Either wait for the first/ second generation of rankers to complete then try again or gtfo.

Classic is just not that kind of game, In retail however yes you can scream about mythic loot ect “I pay, hence I deserve to get stuff handed to me”.
In classic this is not a thing, rather it is the opposite.

PvP ranking taking ridiculous huge amounts of hours is part of the fun. I see no problem with the honor decay tbh.

Rank 14 is a clear sign you are the south park guy irl. Why even want that?
