PvP Rewards and Item Levels

Good for you if you have fun when there’s no challenge involved and equally skilled players aren’t able to touch you because they get deleted in 2 GCDs.
That’s not exactly what I expect from PvP though.

Exactly, when did somebody decide to just delete the pvp stats and make pve and pvp gear the same? And why? Just give us back ressi and a normal vendor and it’s all good

Eh. Even if we agreed on this, it’s not an argument in favor of restricting access to gear for the purposes of PvP.

If PvP is so inconsequential to the game, just make a separate gearing system for it and let it exist in it’s own bubble, akin to pet battles or something.

pathetic as usual blizzard.

yeah my bad:( I thought you’ll be able to get gear faster.

All I see you do here is cry, you clearly are not a PvP player if you suggest that they should give every player high ilvl PvP gear. Sounds more like you just want to leech free gear for AFKing a coulpe of bgs. Just go away honestly…? Literally no arena player agrees with you.

I do. Its pretty fun. Also 9 times out of 10 the player with better gear is usually the better player barring maybe returning players and alts.

?
No? That’s absolutely not what I want?

I’d rather get something similar to either WoD gearing or Legion templates.
These were the 2 best iterations of PvP gearing we had.

Weapons at week 10? wth blizz cmon.

It should take 3 weeks to buy weapon. 2200 rating required to fully upgrade it. There you go, perfect system

I dont want pvp to be cut off from the main game. I want pvp to be just as big of a part of the game as something like dungeons are so i prefer this system.

But didn’t you say that WoW is not a pvp game?

Yep.
Its not a pvp game but pvp is part of the game.

But only an incidental part that should not be catered to?

No, sorry, I think that if PvP exists, and moreso, if a competitive ladder for it exists, it should be beholden to some degree of design, balance, fairness and accessibility.

9 weeks to get weapons is too much. Lower the requirement to get them 3-4 week or around there, that should be more reasonable.

Im kind of confused. Dont u feel pvpers are being catered to with this change?

Imo this change is extremely good for pvpers and besides maybe the first 2-3 weeks the pvp gearing system is actually better than both m+ and raid.

Well, all PvP gear has Versatility which isn’t exactly the best stat for pve for every spec.

This. The season will last ~20 weeks, if you get unlucky with Vault or start playing late you will never catch up.

Not to mention the PvErs will have a massive ilvl advantage during the first 0-15 weeks (which no Versa bonus in the world can overcome).

This.

It’s fine if the Conquest gearing process takes a long time - as long as the Honor PvP gear is the second best option, not Mythic+ or Mythic raiding.

There needs to be PvP stats (MoP) or PvP ilvls (WoD scaling).

Besides the conquest cap being super stingy, I don’t object to current system on, like “personal goals”-level.

But, the subject of contention was about restricting power growth behind rating, yes?
I think restricting a BG player’s access to endgame gear, full stop, is going to turn off a non-trivial demographic of players.

I personally quite liked the MoP/WoD model where gaining rating expedited the gearing process, but catchup would eventually level the playing field. And I believe this, because to me, gearing process for PvP is at least somewhat secondary, and the “meat” of the mode is in playing with full gear, not obtaining it.
