I don’t like that because it doesn’t feel like the High Elves can do it on their own. It’s why I’m against them sharing Silvermoon because they’re not High Elves then…they are just Blood Elves until later.
Here, they’re just being promoted as the Human side-kicks.
I want High Elves to be shown that they can have their own nation, own laws and own way of life, without needing Blood Elves, Night Elves and Humans to do it for them.
Now, I’d love to see Stratholme restored with it’s Port being rebuilt and the Human Paladins and Priest returning to rebuild the origin city to the Church of the Holy Light…but that’s a Human thing, not a High Elf/High Elf Priest thing.
EDIT:
You see, this is what Cyana/Moontear (same person) as well as Erevien don’t understand whereas I do because I’ve actually studied and learned the lore of both Blood Elves and High Elves, since 2010 and they are different for a reason and held and still hold, different values.
Any sane High Elf and Blood Elf fan knows and respects the differences between the two and what I’d want from Blizzard is the acknowledgement that their are differences and that said differences shouldn’t be ignored, like Blood Elf Warlocks being deleted or removed, so High Elf fans can feel better.
Blood Elf Warlocks exist because they are part of the difference between High Elves and Blood Elves. Nobody can say with honesty, that a Blood Elf Warlock is the same as a High Elf of any spellcasting nature or carries the same values or beliefs.
We don’t need her at the center for another expansion and if silbermoon and queldanas have a major role in midnight I would like to see a horde character get the spotlight and not be commander by a alliance character
I do agree and I do hope Midnight is the time where Horde characters do take over the narrative slightly…at least for the first patch and main intro questline.
So, where we had Alleria and Anduin for the levelling experience, that would be Rommath and Liadrin, for example
I mean it would be so strange to go to a horde zone and a horde town and then get bosses around by alliance characters.
Atleast season one should be horde characters in the spotlight.
Liadrin would be a good fit and maybe even a forsaken since we helped holding the ghostlands for the elves for quite some time
Well maybe in The Last Titan there will be other wow characters takes the lead of the story. But for Midnight it would make sense for her to be there as it is her home land.
Yes but this is what Blizzard have chosen to do. As all of them came from Silvermoon.
Sunreaver and Silver covenant have made peace as we seen in War within. Otherwise they would not fought side by side against the Nerubians. Or protected the wounded from the other faction against the Nerubians.
Well considering the Alliance High elves have accepted the Void elves, perhaps they will accept the other Blood elf tribes from Outland. Scryers I don’t think would be a problem as they been working with the Naaru and the Draenai in Shattrath city and Undead elves but Illidari, Sunfury and if there is anyone left of the Felblood elves remains to be seen.
We did see in Legion that Halduron Brightwing and his Farstriders and Silver covenant could work together. One newly Blood elf Farstrider wanted to impress Vereesa Windrunner, only to get himself killed by the Legion. But they all will be fighting for their ancient home.
Exactly, Quel’thalas is home to all High elves aka Quel’dorai (Children of the Highborne).
Alliance High elves choosed to keep their ancient race name while those in Silvermoon choosed to change their race name to Blood elves. Which later on split in to many different race names/tribes. Darkfallen, Felblood elves, Void elves, Scyers but they still call themshelves Blood elves still. That will be heading home to defend their motherland from the Void.
Well we will see, maybe they can get past their differences or they are only there for this occasion to defend their ancient home.
Yes but that was in the past. If the Blood elves have stayed the way they were in the begining of TBC, that would have differences between them. But then Blizzard made the Sunwell patch which made the Blood elves leave their darker path. In TBC the Warlocks had most control of Silvermoon. After Sunwell reignited now its the Paladins and the Mages instead. So the Blood elves in Silvermoon are more now for the Light. And the Blood elves even don’t have to drain mana from magical creatures as the New Sunwell provided them all the mana they need. Which is more accepting for the Alliance High elves. Lor’themar Theron has allowed the Alliance High elves to do Pilgrim journeys to the Sunwell for years now. Even if Grand Magister Rommath was against it.
Veeresa Windrunner had to been somewhere as she and her kids was “Not” in Dalaran when it was destroyed in War within.
Who said they were going to be deleted? They just won’t have as high/strong presence as they once did back in TBC. Take Stormwind for example, where are the warlocks?? In a basement in of the barracks in Old town. So will be the same for warlocks, they just be underground and come to think of it. They always been under Silvermoon. There is a place under Silvermoon were Blood elf Warlocks, sitting around a felcrystal and “are” draining fel from a Fel crystal. The Fel crystals would be gone and probably drained as they no longer in use as there were Demons inside the Fel crystals and they are dead. And the Blood elves have the Sunwell now, power up their city and to give them all the mana they want. What I “Said” is there be less Blood elves with green “Fel eyes” and more with Gold/Yellow or Blue because of the “SUNWELL”. The ones still have green fel eyes would be the warlocks as they still “USING” Fel. As it been said in the “Lore” the elves react to the “strongest” magic which is in this case is the Light as Light and Void is stronger than Fel. So Farstriders, Blood Knights, Mages will either have Gold/Yellow or Blue eyes as the Sunwell is Light and Arcane.
Well there is always that they could have rebuilt the Windrunner spire and Windrunner Village.
They are going home where home always was. As Quel’thalas is their ancient home, just as it is for the Blood elves.
It kind of is the Humans lands so I doubt it. Stratholme was the birth place for Human Paladins. Well the Emerald Cirlce have finished Western plaguelands and Eastern plaguelands might be too and perhaps they have their old names back.
Im pretty sure we see them aswell in Midnight. Just like Lor’themar Theron and Umbric etc etc. Don’t you worry about that. Would be weird if they were not. Auric Sunchaser and Halduron Brightwing should be there too. Even if Halduron Brightwing and his Farstriders was missing during the Blood knight quest to defend Quel’thalas from The Scourge a second time. Since he is in charge of the defences of Quel’thalas and Farstrider are the first line of defence of Quel’thalas. Wonder were he was at the time.
There is absolutely no point at all to make yet another playable elf race, none what so ever. Those who wish to be “high elves” can do so already with existing characters, you can even choose which faction to be in.
So far the most absurd claim I’ve seen is “the tooltip still says void/blood elf”. If you rp, there is no such thing as tooltip, if you don’t rp it’s irrelevant.
Most importantly it’s lorderons lands.
With the cleansing of the western plague lands surprisingly many stormwind humans try to settle there as if they had any right to those lands.
This would lowkey be the funniest thing.
Them just adding blood elves to the alliance wholesale.
So close to the idealized high elves the stans want but still under the wrong name.
I personally imagine itll be more of a consolidation then a unification. I kind of expect high elves to just stop existing if they do get absorbed into the blood elves again.
It has the same energy as Blizzard no longer writing split stories for the factions
Unification will not be the victory people think it is, is my guess
Helves and Belves can only exist seperate of eachother and personal hottake: they are cooler separated and in conflict with eachother, unifying them will just make all races included more boring
But then what your after, when all is said and done and what you’ll get is not playable High Elves.
All this is would just be the “High Elf” people would be absorbed into either Blood Elves or Void Elves which is basically what we have now with the blue eyes.
Oh and it’s not a case that most Blood Elves would have Golden or Blue Eyes now - we still see green eyed blood elves and we saw them throughout DF and TWW with the Sunreaver Mages and Sunreaver Paladins and Priestess. It is actually now confirmed in the lore that most Blood Elves who have golden eyes are typically Paladins and Priests of Silvermoon. Technically, this Hunter with golden eyes isn’t really canon. She should have green eyes.
Lor’themar’s recent cover art with Umbric STILL depicts him with a fel green eye and a blinded eye. You need to stop these lies (like the whole Lor’themar and Thalyssra split, which Blizzard have also debunked as both Elves were together and spent close time together during Winter Veil.) because your reek of desperation to just try and make Blood Elves into High Elves. It’s sad, toxic and pathetic.
Be honest Halga because your anything but.
We see Blood Elves with purple eyes who seem to be Arcane Mages
But again - they are Blood Elves.
Blood Elves aren’t going to be merged/deleted/swapped or anything in favor of Alliance High Elves. It’s the latter that need to work around Blood Elves and Void Elves.
My ideas, in this whole thread, are the only ideas that bring honesty and truthfulness to how we get what we’re asking for. Everybody else is living in the lands of delusion and deluded, because the general hope is:
Delete/Merge Blood Elves, replace them with Alliance High Elves.
Because Blizzard is lazy. simple fact as they don’t keep up with the lore everywhere in the game.
They are “High elves” from Dalaran as most High elves from Dalaran have purple eyes. They joined the Blood elves after what happened in Dalaran in Mist of Pandaria the so called Purge of Dalaran becauce they felt sorry for the Sunreavers and so they moved from Dalaran to Silvermoon and joined the blood elves. That’s how Blood elves got blue and purple eyes.
No if she is a Farstrider and Living in Quel’thalas. She would have golden/Yellow eyes, “Same way” they got effected by the Fel crystals and got green eyes as fel is stronger than Arcane.
Lol…“IT WAS DATAMINED”. Even Taliesin and Evitel, several Youtubers talked about it with their chat and went threw the entire short story. And I quote Taliesin words “These two should not be together”. The short story is on Wowhead.
You know what im just going to say it.
I AM “THE ONE” THAT SUGGESTED CRYSTALSONG FOREST TO BE THE HOME FOR ALL ALLIANCE HIGH ELVES FROM THE BEGINING. AS THERE IS WHERE WE MET THE SILVER COVENANT HIGH ELVES. Years ago. When all the High elves Threads started. With my hunter that was a Night elf at the time and became a Void elf at the end of Legion. Everyone else asked for Hinterlands. The Alurna manifest wanted Hinterlands to be Home for Playable High elves. Then it was Allieran stronghold. But I am the one that started Crystalsong forest idea. How they should be Paler than Blood elves.
Hell I even given Ideas how to make “More” Void elves, given ideas how to expand their area in Telogrus rift. I was even all for Void elves at the time even if the were purple or blue but something was missing with them. They were not Alliance High elves. They were Horde Blood elves squad that switch sides. If they made the Void elves after Alleira that they were High elves (Only High elves and learned from Alleria and Silver covenant could have been the ones She trained as they already had their own tabard, mounts and their own story and her sister Veeresa was among them and with the Blue void ice magic would have been cool as Alliance High elves were more for Ice magic and Blood elves was more for fire magic but Blizzard choosed to ignore they existed and instead created a new group of unknown blood elves that never exist in wow to take the roll of these new elves) and the stars and the blue Void magic and space is cold so mixed with ice magic (Void blue+Ice magic) would have been great for Playable High elves. But We also had a broken world as a home which was weird and nothing was happend there. No buildings or expaning the area. Nothing. Blizzard choosed to forget they “existed” just like they “did” for Silver covenant High elves after Void elves was released they could have been great help during BFA but they were nowhere to be found.
But I stopped rooting for void elves after people asked for “freaks” than Void elves with tentacle arms, claws and tentacles coming out of the mouth witch was not the point with Void elves. So I gave up on Void elves I went back to asking for Playable High elves. Even in beta of Shadowlands I can see people in background disappointed writing in chat bubbles that the void elves don’t look entirely as a High elf.
But I also remember you were dead set against Playable High elves (Like many others were) for years (Just like Erevien) until you made a Void elf and actually went to Crystalsong forest and then you were all for playable High elves. Same for many other players that was dead set against playable High elves suddenly was for playable High elves. But also more players have shown up being against Playable High elves. But I AM the ONE that started Crystalsong forest Suggestion from the begining while others asked for other places to be the Home for playable High elves. Im still for High elves having Crystalsong forest as their home as I love the Mystic music from there and the Crystalforest could be perfect for both High elves and Void elves. The Purple side for the Void elves and Forlorn woods for the High elves, Sitting there for hours at Windrunner outlook wishing my hunter could be a High elf, walking around Crystalsong forest. But I know its not going to happen now as Blizzard made their “choice”. I even did the same in TBC at Allerian stronghold. Sitting there for hours and walking around the stronghold in hopes of one day High elves would be playable.
Nope. That’s not evidence. That’s speculation and since High Elves aren’t playable, they are just Blood Elf Arcane Mages.
As Judge Judy would say: That is not an answer
Just because Youtubers talk about doesn’t mean anything. The Alleria Short Story during Winter Veil clearly stated that Lor’themar and Thalyssra, the elven husband and wife, were together during the feast.
They never split and it absolutely boggles my mind how, primarily Alliance players, spin this lie because…they don’t want Nightborne involved with Midnight? I don’t know…but it’s all wrong and anyone who thinks it is also, completely wrong.
Lor’themar and Thalyssra are STILL husband and wife and they eventually celebrated their honeymoon on the island of Tel’abim, also documented in the Exploring Azeroth story.
The aforementioned Winter Veil story also backs this further…
That’s something I have seen a few times now.
People especially alliance high elve fans don’t want the nightborn to play a role in midnight even so there leader is literally married to the blood elve leader.
They always talk about blood elves and high elves and void elves and even night elves and nightfallen but nightborn get left out
Their feelings dictate that Thalyssra and her Nightborne shouldn’t be involved so they take something and spin a lie about it and convince themselves that it’s true, when it just isn’t. They are wrong.
I’m a High Elf supporter, through and through, but I’m not going to play into people’s delusions of grandeur to try and force a lie into the canon lore, when it’s not there.
Lor’themar, the current leader of Quel’Thalas, is married to the Nightborne leader of Suramar. It’s not difficult to speculate that the Nightborne might be playing a role in this…coupled with the fact that they are also Elves. You know “reunify the scattered ELVEN tribes!”
If Alliance fans talk so much about the night elves being there…then, why the stand-offish behaviour around the Nightborne? I’ll tell you why - because they are so scared about focus being taken away from the High Elves, that they can’t cope with the other Horde Elves, outside of Blood Elves, being involved.
Plus I kinda think especially from alliance high elve fans it’s also a bit of hate that we got nightborn wich players from both sides wanted cause tyrande was super rude.
But I stopped entertaining those players ideas cause they also always say the forsaken are all evil and that’s why no elves should be in the horde to begin with cause we are there.
Completely ignoring that it was the forsaken that majorly helped the blood elves.
But those are also often the same people who want to make claims on lorderon lands for the alliance cause they don’t recognise the forsaken as lorderon people
