Also not happening as they don’t want to do a new skeleton.
Because between Star Wars Fans, Star Trek fans, Game of Thrones fans, hell any fandom, there is something terribly obnoxious about your brand of fandom.
Most of them complain about the franchises they love to the point of toxicity, but you alone have this overwhelming need to have the lore rewritten around your preferences and without respect to anyone else’s investment.
the intellectual might on display in the forums is something truly staggering. i come to the forums to face intellectual discussion of such an IQ that it is measured in the low trillions. you need at least 6 PhDs to get into a wow forum debate about the high elves, where all parties calmly and collectedly don’t spend their entire morning posting through depression with the same cyclical arguments and a staggering lack of self-awareness.
Anyways, when the circus is in town its good to go see it.
There’s no rewriting that has to be done to achieve this, it’s merely technical.
They already exist in game, and we want to be playing as the Quel’dorei who remained in the Alliance.
To balance the scales your lot can have Leper Gnomes.
How many times have you been told that the Alliance High Elves are almost dead and you point blank argue against it?
How many times have you been told that the reason they aren’t added is because of the gameplay desire to keep the two major factions distinct?
Constantly.
Hence, you are simply being incredibly obnoxious. If this were an author writing a book you’d be outside their study trying to barge in and steal the pen.
It’s not an argument, because Void Elves are even lesser in number.
Gnomes are also an “almost extinct race” as of the events of Gnomeregan, yet they’re playable.
You go round and round when one point fails, you go to the next.
And yet they all fail. xD
Well, to be fair… we recently discovered a secret vault of dragon people on a secret island and a secret empire of Humans, Elves and Half-Elves (making them playable for humans btw).
→ Storywise ← , nothing keeps Blizzard from introducing Alliance HE, it’s a pure gameplay (and faction balance) choice.
What is viable “storywise” means nothing to blizzard, it’s ok. We can stop pretending.
I agree. But tbf i think its also a stupid discussion, we have alliance high elves its called customizations for void elves. People are just crying that they don’t get to have a racial of their own, which is like… Ok?
We already have playable high elves, we’ve had them for years.
