Well Silvermoon in midnight despite being under BE management, is for all intents and purposes neutral.
The existence of a building shared by the SC and their horde counterpart implies otherwise. But this could be a rebirth of some sort for the Thalassian elves.
Its blizzard, ofc not.

The change log for this says it went from sunsilver accord to silversun compact. The aura also shows aethas and vereesa being there.
Looks like it might really be a merger of the two groups.

I wouldn’t call it a merge, due to the hostility to BE seen on the SC refuge but more of an agreement.

At least thats my point of view with the available evidence. Both leaders are there which it seems it will be an important building for both organizations.

So either this is a prelude to Silvermoon leaving the Horde, Quel’thalas declaring neutrality and Blizzard having to fend a backlash from the majority of the playbase…
Or they are setting the stage for the Silver Covenant to leave the scene as part of this Silversun Compact by having them join this group and go home permanently.

No, this is about stopping a threat that will consume everyone, so let’s not pretend it is charity.
Yet we have Silversun Compact now in Silvermoon.
Perhaps this is setting the stage for the Silver Covenant to leave the Alliance to live again in Silvermoon, though not necessarily join the Horde. After all, the devs have to be thinking that they may want to do some faction conflict stuff again in the future and IF there is elven unification, they may not want to over-complicate the story with the Blood Elves.
A Calia Menethil situation in other words. That’s a precedent we do have.
I think it will probably last because we were told we were “reunifying the scattered elven tribes” and its not much of a reunification if they break up 5 minutes later.
But yeah, for the time being we have very little to go off of other than some npcs, a building, and an aura. Far too soon to draw real conclusions.

Indeed. It is noble to help, but everyone is helping against a universal threat.
If they remain within the Alliance then they will have no power in Silvermoon, as Blizz may want to revisit the faction conflict at some point but that could be tolerated from private citizens.. Either way, I regard the evidence as growing that this is more or less the end of the road for them narratively.
Im with you, I dont expect the silver covenant members to be joining the horde or anything. Maybe its more like a silvermoon thing.
Like how when they were in dalaran. Only now instead of dalaran, it’s silvermoon and the 2 groups like each other this time.
Well until the void is defeated maybe. After that it gets complicated.

Its a shame they didnt put the max level quests on beta so we could just find out.
