But the fact is, it was never a fore-gone conclusion that Amani were going to be a Horde allied race and the Alliance were getting High Elves.
That was always a stretch to me..

I ve the midnight trailer and all spoiler stuff and and blizzard threads about “new allied race : haranir”
I saw the nem Amani models they look great and should be easy enough for Blizzard to fit armor on. They could have easily made them an allied race. I like them

So nothing to do with High Elves gotcha.
But for someone so sure that HE isn’t happening you spend an awfull amount of time here. Why? I know we are delightful but surely there’s more to it.
But who is going to make one, when in competition with the High Elves?
Hardline Horde players.
I (used to) play both sides. I just don’t vibe with Horde as much as I do with Alliance. That and my social circle is Alliance heavy.

I don’t think that is likely. Those guards were original attempt at Blood Elf models all the way back in TBC beta, used in some promotional material at the time. They were replaced with the newer models as the beta progressed, but as a kind of ‘gesture’ to their use they were retained as the guards till relatively recently.
It would also shatter disbelief, because lorewise the two groups are the same race and the wider player base beyond this debate would clearly have questions I don’t think Blizzard would are to answer.
Yeah because that’s going to be a roaring success by comparison of High Elf players. /s

We know for sure Naga won’t happen for Horde as Blizzard stated it would be a logistic issue. It’s unfortunate but true. They’d also need a new racial leader, one that deflected from Azshara as I’m sure no one is waiting to ally themselves with her (story wise).

Hell, Naga are more likely to join the Horde than Amani considering the Amani spat on the Horde so many times before.
Naga and Forsaken are actually far more alike than we consider.
Both were once vibrant beings, enjoying the splendours of life in a marvellous nation, until catastrophe struck and they were forced into becoming cold, dark shades of who they once were.
And the Naz’dorei concept is one that I really approve of.
Yes that is true, but Blizzard their logistic issue is that they don’t see how to work gear on them. That was the “then” reason they wouldn’t be playable.
I’m sure they could make if work if they put the time and resources into it.

Their isn’t really a “now” issue.
I always suspected that they wouldn’t introduce Amani alongside High Elves, because they correctly, knew that nobody would be playing Amani and the lore doesn’t truly back it up.
Naga would work better and through the Naz’dorei concept, using part Nightborne models, would fit better and be a stronger competitor.
Amani - they are better as a customisation
