Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race - 2024 (Part 2)

Because it is filler.

Numbers don’t matter.

That’s why in 2025 Blood elves are the most numerous elves like nothing happened whereas in TFT they were 10 and enough to fill in 2 Dalaran prison cells, waiting to be executed.

High elves from former Theramore, Highvale lodge, Outland, Stormwind and maybe some we haven’t discovered yet can still build a new high elf settlement.

You are a tiresome little twit aren’t you? You can’t help yourself. You simply cannot stand to have folks arguing against you. I’ve seen brand new people come into this post and you react exactly the same way, you’re simply too quick to resort to childish personal attacks, so it clearly isn’t a ‘me’ issue or a ‘kiryanor’ issue.

Until such time as Blizzard says number don’t matter, then they matter. Nor should you trust numbers in game, there are Blizzard sources that say it takes days to cross the Barrens for example. They compact things for how it is represented in Warcraft.

And I don’t accept ‘from somewhere we haven’t discovered yet’ as a valid argument. If you truly believe numbers don’t matter, then you don’t need to suggest all those settlements. Either they will be playable or they won’t.

Blizzard doesn’t need to say it. Blood elves are everywhere. In Outland, Azeroth, Kalimdor, Draenor, Northrend, Argus whereas they should be on the verge of extinction and therefore extremely rare … So yeah numbers don’t matter, wether you like it or no.

Have you ever considered that many of those Blood Elves are the same Blood Elves moving from area to area as needs arise for their attention?

Each of those areas are not only different for us geographically, but different in time. The 7th Legion for the Alliance moves around a lot too as a en example.

But if numbers don’t matter, why do you need to invent more areas for Alliance High Elves?

Oh were back on numbers? They grasping at straws again. How tiresome.

You’re not even reading what anyone is saying are you?

That’s why the number issue was raised again. So are you just looking for opportunities to troll?

So you’re on the verge of extinction and you have the luxury on going to wage war on 4 different planets and participating in world conflicts instead of just recovering and protecting yourselves from further losses ?

Do the blood elves really seem to be on the brink of extinction ? Or are we just witnessing the height of their civilisation instead ?

Not convincing at all, Kaeros

In the Shadow of the Sun covered it.

"What brings you to Silvermoon, Sylvanas?" he asked. “I have just returned from Orgrimmar,” she said. Her voice scraped against the walls. As her mouth moved, Lor’themar could see the flesh around it crack and peel like a long-discarded snakeskin. “Arthas has dared to strike at the heart of the Horde.” Lor’themar’s mouth went dry, and a great tide of unease began to rise in his chest. Sylvanas paused a moment, scrutinizing his face for a reaction. He clenched his teeth but remained quiet. “The attack was successfully repelled,” she continued. “But Arthas is only toying with us— we must bring the war to him. Warchief Thrall at last sees what we have long known.” Her eyes glittered with a dangerous eagerness. “The Horde prepares for war. And the sin’dorei, Lor’themar, constitute a portion of the Horde.” Her words hit him like stones. He knew what she was asking, had always known that this day would come. And yet, as he stood in the hall, suddenly conscious of how its grand space swallowed him, he found himself unable to respond. “Lor’themar.” Sylvanas’s words shattered around him in impatience. “We go to destroy Arthas—once and for all.” Slowly, Lor’themar shook his head. “I appreciate that you and Warchief Thrall wish us to join you on the initial front in Northrend. But we are stretched too thin. We have already received a similar request from the Kirin Tor, but I cannot in good faith send our forces north. Since the events at Quel’Danas—” “This is not a request, Lor’themar,” she interrupted. Her eyes flashed red in anger. “You will send troops. They will accompany the Forsaken.” “Sylvanas,” Lor’themar said quietly, “we have just fought a civil war. What can we possibly have to give?” “Have you forgotten who is responsible for the state of Quel’Thalas in the first place? Who is ultimately to blame?” She searched his face for a reply, and when he gave none, she continued. “Well, I, at least, have not! My vengeance will not be denied, and you will give what I demand of you: the sin’dorei rangers and magi, as well as the Blood Knights.” “We cannot spare them, Sylvanas.” Her flaking lips curled into a sneer. "Then you can hide here like a beaten dog if that is indeed your will, Lor’themar. Though if you believe anything can come from it, you are a fool. Do you think Arthas will be content to ignore you whilst you wait here and lick your wounds? Do you think I will tolerate such cowardice? I would warn you: those who do not stand with the Forsaken stand against them. And those who stand against the Forsaken will not stand long. “For a while now my people have stood guard in these lands, and it is by my hand that you have any place within the Horde. You will aid us in Northrend, or I shall cease to aid you in Quel’Thalas”

Besides, I am unsure if you noticed, but war in these games is never a luxury. Without fighting the threats, you’d go from the verge of extinction to being actually extinct.

It changes nothing. You just throw a wall of text at me to deny the fact that Blizzard retconned Blood elves’ numbers to serve their story.

Otherwise, with all the conflicts the blood elves have taken part in since TFT, they would be a dead civilization.

Tell me Kaeros. Are the Blood elves looking like they’re on the brink of extinction in Midnight ? I’m curious.

And I take this response as a victory.

That ‘wall of text’ is canonical story showing that the Blood Elves felt stretched but that they had to help out in Northrend, mostly because of Sylvanas’s actions. If you cannot refute a source, you don’t get to dismiss it either because it disproves your argument.

The simpler explanation, that it is the same set of Blood Elven forces deployed in various campaigns, makes more sense than your own ‘they retconned it’ approach.

Besides, if they retconned it, then Kael renaming the High Elves was clearly a mistake and all Blood Elves should revert to calling themselves High Elves forthwith!

Yes, there’s a void infused maniac threatening to kill them all and destroy the power source they depend on. Also Xal’atath killed her friend, putting her in a bad mood.

If alliance gets Helfs, horde should get Mok’nathal. Lore and numbers doesn’t matter after all. Until it fits a narrative that is.

You’re off-topic everytime.

“Blood elves aren’t on the verge of extinction since they are on 4 planets, and participating on world conflicts with a lot of ressources” → “YES BUT NORTHREND”

“Do the blood elves seem to on the brink of extinction in Quel’Thalas based on what they endured by the past ?” “YES BIG VOID INFUSED MANIAC THREATENING”

Enough High elf thread for today

I’m all for it. I’m hoping you also get Amani as an AR. They look really cool.

The void maniac was an Alleria joke.

And Blood Elves ARE a low population race. That has been canonically confirmed on multiple occasions. Same as Gnomes and Tauren have low populations due to their history.

With how nice and cuddly lore has been recently, betrayal in the past is water under the bridge.
I still want skinny Kul Tirans…

I hope we all get the amani as AR.

A nice post from across the pond.
