Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race - 2024

Forest trolls are very popular, there are many players who want them as an allied race in Midnight.

We need new races not recolours.

If they are popular make it a customisation option

Forest trolls are more muscular, they are physically different compared to Darkspear and Zandalari trolls, their model will be updated at midnight.

Zandalari shouldn’t have been there own thing too.
All allied races should just be option’s for there parent race with the exception of void elves and night born cause they are on different factions.

That would clean up the race selection screen a bit.

That’s exactly my point. We need to be done with the race reskins. Among the Allied Races, the only ones with truly unique models are Kul Tirans, Zandalari, and the Vulpera.

They’ve never been depicted that way. They’re just Blood Elves preferring to use a blue colour scheme rather than red.

If Blizzard adds the High Elf and Forest Troll Allied Race, that would be really great.

If Blizzard adds new High Elf and Forest Troll customizations, that would also be great.

Personally, the Allied Races are more interesting because there are other additions (lore, heritage armor, mounts, unique customizations, class, etc.).

I get what you mean but it would be the third troll race and the third blood elve like race not to mention we would have five kinds of elves overall then.

And if they are just character customisations they leave more room.for actually new races cause they don’t come with mounts and dogs and all that stuff

Suprised people see it this way, I always found allied races hard to get immersed into because they’re just races without a starter zone (and without starter zone lore) so they always just felt like a way to add new races without bothering with lore, I know in legion it mostly started because the races that were added were from the actual endgame zone but after legion that logic no longer held.

and now that we see Dracthyr and Earthen who both got extremely little lore (but dracthyr had a starter zone atleast) on how and after they joined the factions (earthen don’t even have representatives in the factions) it feels like lore is no longer a large factor that decides what races become playable.

I once did a headcount on type of elves in wow (all elves including the non playable ones)
eevee has less evolutions
I agree we’re good on elves for now

Allied races should have been used for races where it doesn’t make sense for them to completely join a faction.
Like look at the hozen (yes those never turned out as playable) there is one single village that joined the horde all other hozen in Pandaria don’t care about that.

That’s what I see as an allied race.
Where the race as a whole isn’t part of the faction but part are allied with them.

That can explain why they have no starting zone and that can be used to explain races that players want but that don’t work for lore reasons.
Like saberon. That’s a race that gets mentioned again and again but from a lore perspective they are way to brutal and cannibalistic to join a faction but we have already met peaceful saberon that aren’t super aggressive.
Or arakkoa that typically are either mad or xenophobic

They have always been depicted that way. Just look at Allerian stronghold or the majority of lodges in classic. Yes the silver covenant camps in Northrend are similar to the sunreaver camps.
And even then they ride horses as a small example.

When wow will shut off, just one thing will remain alive and kicking: this thread.

Maybe Northeron will be the high elf zone.

I think you are confusing northeron with the coastline northeast of tirisfal glades, which are just an indicator that you are approaching quel’thalas before the game had a quel’thalas.

Unless you actually want the high elf zone to be in the belly of ancient one Iso’rath ofcourse, who is part of the reason why no wildhammer dwarves live in northeron anymore.

If Northeron becomes a new zone in Quel’Thalas for the Midnight expansion, Wildhammer Dwarves and High Elves (a scattered elven tribe) could be present there.

That is a fanmade map which makes no sense because again, that’s not where Northeron is.
https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Northeron
Northeron was a region and the northernmost part of the Twilight Highlands. It was known for its mysterious ironwood tree forests, the torrential storms from its frozen mountains, ominous and foreboding peaks and jagged ice cliffs.

High elves also are not numerous enough to go out starting kingdoms, it has been stated several times that the Blood Elves are the continuation of Quel’thalas and the High Elves don’t have enough numbers to (re)start their own societies.

It makes sense to expand Quel’thalas by Northeron and proper Zul’Aman to add new zones to Midnight.

Northeron = High Elf Zone
Zul Aman = Amani Troll Zone

High Elf and Forest Troll Allied Races for Midnight.

I’m honest with you that would actually be the first time I would think about quitting the game.

If the throw reskined race at us again after we just had dwarfs as a reskin and many people where angry cause it’s time for a proper new race

I do wonder how Northeron got mixed up like that.

I actually didn’t know it was in the Twilight Highlands till recently either. Still hope they do something with that area where they labeled Northeron though. Be neat to see some new stuff there…

And gods I want the Amani areas…

If Blizzard adds these two allied races, there will be a lot of happy players because they are popular compared to the Earthens.
