Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race - 2024

Forest trolls would atleast have a different optic to the trolls we have.

High elves would literally be bloodelves with a different label.
There wouldn’t even be a slight difference like it is with blood and void elves

There are two human races available (SW and KT) for the alliance, they have different models, Blizzard can also do the same for the high elves (new posture/model).

But blood and high elves are 100% the same.
The only difference is a political one.

And to be honest KT and SW humans was already a stretch

So long as High Elves are completely void of anything Blood Elf, like Quel’Thalas, then having the same model as Blood Elves doesn’t really matter.

But the key is that they must NOT be Blood Elves.
Blood Elves = Quel’Thalas, Silvermoon, Horde

High Elves must be their own thing entirely and the Last Titan expansion could ACTUALLY be the ticket for playable High Elves. Crystalsong Forest and Shandaral could become the homeland for the playable High Elves. That way:

Blood Elves (and by extension, the Horde) - keep Quel’Thalas and Silvermoon, by lore standards
Void Elves - keep Telogrus Rift
High Elves - keep Shandaral.

Literally, I am the only true High Elf fan in this thread, because everyone else who “supports” this, just wants Blood Elves deleted and High Elves, on Alliance, to replace them which isn’t being a High Elf supporter…instead it’s a Blood Elf hater, and the players behind this are just green eyed with envy because everything they want in the High Elves is now shipped to the Horde/Blood Elves and it’s tough.

A true and genuine High Elf supporter wants High Elves to be their own race, with their own nation and own laws. We don’t want High Elves at the expense of Blood Elves. That is the completely removal of the High Elf truest cause.

I mean I don’t really care about high elves as long as they take there grubby hands of silbermoon.

But I have to say it would be nice to see a actual new race before we get another reskin

Technically there’s three. SW, KT and Worgen.

Also two dwarves and two gnomes… And two draenei…

God’s it’s a dumb argument to make about models.

It not a wise argument to make, but I stand by the truthful and honest stance of playable High Elves and that is:
They cannot come at the expense of Blood Elves. Everything Blood Elf like Quel’Thalas and Silvermoon must remain as is, regardless of Midnight. That means:
No deleting Blood Elves
No merging races

By lore standards, Quel’Thalas and Silvermoon are Horde in the lore, just like Bel’ameth is Alliance in the lore.

High Elves must be on their own, establish their own home and their own lands, own laws etc
Then they can be race that actual High Elf fans can be proud of. Leeching off Blood Elves is not something to be proud of.

I am also of the belief that the current split between high elves and blood elves make both types of elf cooler and unification of these two would really just be deleting one of the two and being left with one remaining type of elf narratively

honestly I wouldn’t suprise me if elf unification is just an excuse to write either blood or high elves out of the story just so that there’s less to write about, same way they stopped writing about the factions

thankfully helf/belf animosity started long before belves joined the horde and is separate from the faction conflict, which I’m sure the wow story team will remember
right?

RIGHT?

It would be the High Elves, since Blood Elves are a playable race and you can’t write them out of the narrative.

What you need to do, is to completely seperate the two.

Blood Elves need to have their things and they are the rightful and correct owners to Quel’Thalas and Silvermoon

High Elves need their own nation, own laws…they can’t go to Silvermoon. Everything about Silvermoon has changed…Warlocks, Illidari…you can’t expect me to get excited for playable High elves when the above are walking around them. Fel and Demonic magic is not a trait of the High Elves…they need their own nation and Crystalsong Forest/Shandaral is absolutely perfect.

They’d have to rewrite some of the current helf lore to make it work, as the last stance is them not being numerous enough to be a nation in any meaningful way. I always imagined them as the lore portrayed it, either as part of Dalaran, the lodges spread throughout EK and the alliance cities.

Though with the Northrend relevancy it would be the perfect time to have them strike out and set up a base with the intent to later let flourish into a new kingdom, I’d be for it, belves and helves complete eachother in a weird way as enemies

I am not looking forward to doing that quest on horde tho, unless they start writing different stories for either faction again that might be another quest I skip considering I dont have an alliance at max level to do with and I generally am very unengaged when I feel like my character is being told to do things for the opposite faction

You could also delete that post . :joy:

Won’t be the first time .they did made narrative for void elf .a high elf unlocking race quests could follow similar route

Exactly !

Blizzard also created lore for new class/race combos that needed it.

yeah but then I’d have to make a new one and disclose that the one above me is just the same post but reacted to a different person and then after 24 hour when that post disappears that will no longer make sense and I just decided to keep it as is

and yeah, though I’d prefer it to be written as high elves finding their own place rather then logging in and finding out everything happened offscreen.
Feels like an easy thing to write content about on the alliance side.

The Quel’dorei way could be to soothe the Highborne spirits of Crystalsong and to remove the Crystal Satyr presence entirely.

It provides a way forward for the High Elves, but at the same time, is a story that reflect their ancestral past, being Highborne Night Elves and some of those Night Elves, becoming Satyr.

Obviously, get more padding and more story, but if they restored the Highborne buildings of Shandaral, along with modern Quel’dorei Arcane Sanctums and Farstrider Barrack’s, you could have the full majesty of the Quel’dorei, past and present, interwoven in a city that is just for the Alliance.

Silvermoon, by lore standards, remains a Horde city (but Alliance can still travel to the city, akin to the Horde in Bel’ameth, so they can’t do much and they can’t interact with the Blood Elf-main NPCs, but as far as the lore goes, Silvermoon is a Horde City.)

Then it is no longer a horde city.

If the alliance can walk in whenever they want it’s a neutral city.

I could understand all elves being allowed to go there that would make sensebut a elven reunification would not give humans or dwarfs a right to visit silvermoon

We see Silvermoon behind the void monsters ! :scream:

We do.
That would be cool if that monster wouldn’t be known for eating planets.

Maybe we get revamped silbermoon cause that guy already starts munching on azeroth and silbermoon gets hit
