Honestly, here’s the thing: I’m all for giving you cool stuff too. Stuff that the Void Elves will then not have access to. I rather like the new hairstyles, but I get that that’s not universal and also not enough.
So here’s a different question: What do you want for BElves only, that you don’t currently have? If you had to sell the hair styles and colors, what price would be acceptable?
Nothing whatsoever because it’ll never be an even trade.
The 14 skin color + eye 1 color/model exchange for 1 eye color taught me that and I’d rather not go down this road a second time.
Honestly youd have to give us quite alot for you guys to get exact copies of blood elves. I would say maybe even a new race like san’layn, where alliance just get copies. Sounds unfair but so is giving alliance a race that has been with horde for what 14 years?
Honestly, while I’d want the factions to both have an even number of races, I’m fine with giving you something that’s basically the same. Some adjacent allied race that can be made to look like whatever Alliance race you like. (I’m aware most Horde players like zero Alliance races, both to play and in the game. It’s a hypothetical.)
Blood Elf druids come to mind. Complete with new forms, as every race seems to have now except for the originals. Or shaman, I guess. Or a full suite of unique visual options to make BElves look like San’layn, which I guarantee you very few Alliance players will want for VElves.
I am in no way against other people getting cool things that they want. By all means, share your wishlists.
I don’t think Blood Elf Druids or Shamans are needed as Blood Elves are excellent with what they have.
Also, I’d prefer to just have 1 elf race have Druids (Night Elf) and no elves have access to Shaman. It’s nice to have 1 class where no elves can be said class.

In fairness Jakafo has been consistent about what they want, which frankly, isn’t a big ask.
I have to draw a line somewhere though. Tattoos are not a High Elven ‘thing’, and should either be for both, or neither.
Interesting, but not really part of the High Elf race fantasy. That is Mages and Rangers.
I’m afraid to say, this is right. Blood Elves, despite the vaunted ‘40 customisations!’ actually got a really raw deal out of the main races, so I can understand some degree of anger that what little they did get that was new, is being asked for, for an Allied Race on the opposing Faction, as that would even further reduce the amount of new options the race got, which actually, was really not much at all, in the slightest.
Sure, we can all share, like grownups, but for every Blood Elf option ported over to Void Elves, the Blood Elves should get a unique option to replace it. Ranger Warpaint, new braids and feathers in hair, Magister runic tattoos etc, the options were all there. Still are.
You’re always in the wrong thread, and let’s not kid ourselves, if Alliance got High Elves and Horde got Ogres, you would be the first screaming “Horde Bias!” because the Horde got something new, and Alliance just got reskinned Blood Elves. Let us be honest here…

I can think of some neat Blood Elf customisations, but they are largely all missed opportunities and things that would further add value to the difference between the Triumvirate of Powers that exist within Blood Elf society, that of Magister, Farstrider and Blood Knight.
But I don’t think we will ever get them.
Nor do I think the race needs Druid or Shamans.
I like the fact that the Farstriders are a vestigial remnant of Druidry, but not Druids. I don’t want Belf Druids.

I do think it would be awesome for Belfs to get some more stuff.
And never think it’s not possible. They said customizations is so positive that they might add more along the way.
I can see so many things added to them
- Dark Ranger skin and red eyes
- Farstrider tattoos
- Runic tattoos
- runic Scars
I Honestly never thought they would add purple eyes to Blood elves, but here we are. Miracles happen
I’d unironically offer this if it was in my power. A few hairstyles and colors in return for all of the above, and if I had my way, lots of tattoos and scars and whatnot, for a good amount of variety.
let’s face it…elves are master race. Everyone like them, so adding option for shaman /druid would please a lot of players.
Can’t really tell why alliance still don’t have playable highelves.

It’s pretty simple, if a bit unfortunate. Logically, the best time to introduce them would have been during BfA, and done the simple thing of having them rally around Alleria. Yes, I know she is a Void Elf, but she doesn’t look like one most of the time, and lets face it, Forsaken-Sylvanas Hello? Anyone see a difference here?
But they put Void Elves in, and a lot of people actually like Void Elves. They are the most played Allied Race across both Factions.
And thats cool. So they put in options, so Void Elves could look like High Elves.
But that ain’t enough for some folks. They want the Blood Elf stuff too (there’s a mad thread going on at the moment where someone is seriously saying the Alliance should get Blood Elves (Not their stuff, but the -race-) and the Nightborne (Not their stuff- but the race- ) and also Silvermoon and Suramar. In order to balance Horde and Alliance.
Understandably, most people regard this as the ravings of a lunatic.
Problem is, some people do still want a separate High Elf race, which is just next level bonkers. You can look like a High Elf with the customisations they got, customisations no other Allied Race got by the way, but this isn’t enough. They want it to say ‘High Elf’ over their character, not ‘void Elf’ because that apparently matters. They also want Silvermoon, Blood Elf customisations, and new racials. Oh and Paladins, because none of them know Lore and think Paladins were somehow iconic for High Elves…Hellooooo This is the Lore, do you remember me? They ain’t.
Now whilst apart from the Silvermoon bit and the Blood Elf Cus- Actually, lets stick to what is -not- problematic. Some new hair colours.
Thats it. Everything else is problematic, because if you do that, the Alliance is effectively getting an extra Allied Race.
Now that is not problematic as such, until you realise that means the Horde also needs an extra Allied Race.
And lets face it, much as I hate 'em, it’s gonna be Mok’nathal or Ogres.
Now why is that a problem?
It is a problem because the Horde will be getting a new racial model (Likely based off Kul’Tirans, which would make sense) but the Alliance would be getting a reskin of Void Elves, which are a reskin of Blood Elves.
Can you imagine the sheer outrage of screeching as some Alliance fans raged about Horde bias in such a scenario.
So Blizz can’t win. Some Alliance High Elf fans want all Blood Elf stuff, Blood Elf fans are understandably going " Really? 'K you and the horse you rode in on" Some Alliance fans are going “That would be rubbish” and some Horde fans are going “So we get Ogres then?” “N-no!” “OK, so what does Horde get?” “N-nothing!”
This is why a lot of people are resistant to the idea, it wouldn’t even open up a can of worms, it would open the whole cannery facility that put worms in cans.
They could have solved this simply at the start of BfA, but they chose not to, and that is where we are now, the Genie is out of the bottle, they’re not going to force Void Elves to race change to High Elves, Void Elves can look like High Elves, but that ain’t enough for some people (Oddly the RP’ers are actually cool with it) so they still want an identical race to Blood Elves, just on Alliance, and they can’t do that without giving the Horde something new, at which point we get Human Male Paladin posters screaming about Horde Bias and we end up in exactly the same position this time next year, just hopefully with less deadly pathogens in the air around us!

Because none of them care for the Alliance. They main horde and there’s not enough alliance players to cry on forums to force changes
Best time to introduce them with unique tattoos, hairstyles, and racials would’ve been BFA with the return of Alleria.
But, Blizzard went with a lore that came out of nowhere and introduced Void elves.
Of course that didn’t got too well with the Alliance players as nobody asked for these things. So they introduced Natural skins to Void elves along with Blue and purple eyes.
And here we are today. So it’s not “perfect” but it is something near to what we want, very near 90%.
So we should just accept them. It’s better than nothing.
Too late to add Helves now, with the recent customizations for Velves and Belves.
I think they look great
I for one would not mind if Blizzard gave us undead elf skins for blood elves. Let’s face it, the situation is unfair as it is now, since void elves are two races in one. Lorewise they could say that now that Sylvanas is gone, the undead elves among the forsaken, at least some of them, are trying to return to Silvermoon.

Since Blizzard messed up and over-pimped the Velfs we don’t need to ask them to keep doing it. If you want undead elves, let’s ask blizzard to give us undead elves, not painted over blood elves. As an equivalent for the Alliance so they won’t cry bias they can give them Gilnean (non cursed) humans, for example.

A nice story could evolve from that.
I would like to see the Dark Rangers under Velonara and the Farstriders work together more.
As much as I love the Sin’dorei/Shal’dorei relationship, I would - at the very least - love to see some Dark Ranger/Farstrider lore moments.
