but they are wrong. Void elves do not have highelf customization YET.
And nothing can change highelves but highelves themselves. So, would be fair if they leave void and blood elves alone and give highelves.

Too late for that. What’s done is done.
All you can hope for now is a few natural hair colors to Velves.
very limited mindset.
I never underst-ood-and anybody who want to limit me or others…
I hope for highelves. >) I know they will be playable!
we are literally again in an in-game event, where alliance high elves are questing with us and fighting scourge, yet we can’t play them.
they aren’t void elves
they aren’t blood elves
Time to give alliance what it deserves
I wish we got High Elves, and Horde got Ogres.
It’s the races that both factions wanted for a really long time, and are part of the factions since day one anyway.
it’s a matter of life or death for blizzard. treating alliance like 2nd rate customers, insulting and teasing them will only cause more alliance to quit
So you noticed too?
Alleria having blonde hair
High elves in Boralus and Stromgarde (BFA)
High elves in Vanilla alliance questing areas
High elves in Outland (BC)
High elves in Legion
High elves in MOP
High elves in CATA
High elves in WOTLK
High elves within the 7th Legion
High elves NPC added in Stormwind during Legion.
some High elves in Telogrus joining the Velves.
And now they are helping in Shadowlands. It does kinda feel like teasing at this point.
And if they gave the skin color why not complete the look and give us some hair color as well. It feels like Horde got the High elves and we got a Compromise with horrible hair colors.
I legit know some people who are Helf fans that quit for this reason.
half the alliance quit or rolled to horde…numbers speak for themselves
Freedom from self-defeatist posters would be a good start.
Think that is hyperbole. You massively overestimate how much High Elves are wanted. Whilst it would be cool for those who want to play Lord of the Rings, most who want to play World of Warcraft go with that story instead.
If it is Alliance who continually drag the faction down in every post they make, I will hold Blizzard’s coats whilst they do so, and bid them godspeed for saving Alliance from such faint hearted souls as currently are ruining the faction.
Then they just don’t give a fig about the lore. As a Roleplayer, the loss of people that are so casually dissuaded from a game indicates that they don’t care about it either, so that isn’t really a loss.
Indeed they do, Indeed they do. Do you have these numbers to hand, or any form of proof, at all? I know this is a futile question, as you always make up your numbers with no shred of proof, thus making legitimate Alliance complaints laughable and easily dismissed, but surely this time you do, yes? It wouldn’t be like the time you said 96.4% of the Devs were actual Horde, would it?
No…I thought not.
Adults are talking. No need for you to chip in.
Go to the High elf mega thread and see for yourself. People on the US especially tend to be more supportive of it.
However, after the Void elf race was introduced and the natural skins, now we are waiting for a few natural hair colors to complete the look.
High elf was always the number 1 most requested race for the Alliance since Vanilla’s time.
And according to Blizzard’s interview more High elf customizations could come, so a few hair colors is not “out there”
Like I would find it silly if they would give the skins and just stop there, might as well add the Hair colors otherwise what’s the point,
I’ve seen the US Forums. I would not regard them as a healthy barometer of what people want, any more than these forums. Less perhaps.

so here are some real HIGH ELVES ready to fight for the alliance with their trusted allies.
can’t wait to play them ^ _ ^
nice, yes please!!!
And with only a few minor tweaks to the void elves, we will be able to.
no those are void elves. not high elves
Well duh. We are void elves
But blizzard themselves called the new customizations we got as “High elf customizations” and they said we could decide for ourselves if we want to be High elves or not. The choice is ours
Here is the interview:
Q: In the dwarf starting area, you are very much a Bronzebeard dwarf. That’s quite explicit in the story that’s being told there when you start a dwarf character. With the introduction of something like the Wildhammer tattoos, which obviously make you look like a Wildhammer, are you a Wildhammer if you use those tattoos?
A: It’s a little complex because we asked ourselves the question of, we have these really cool options like Wildhammer tattoos, but does that mean we need to make a Wildhammer starting experience? If we give trolls skin options that look like other troll tribes besides Darkspear, does that mean we have to make new starting experiences for them as well? The onus of that would’ve meant that we couldn’t do these things because that would be so much time and would consume so many resources to be able to do that, that it just wouldn’t have been practical for us to do. And so then the question is, do we limit the options that we give players because of some storyline concern, or resource concern, or anything like that? And we said, no. We’re not gonna’ do that. So while we’re not gonna’ give you a dedicated Wildhammer starting experience if you pick those tattoos, the freedom should be there in your mind to roleplay your character how you want to roleplay them. Whatever tattoos, customizations, whatever skin color options you pick, come up with a story that fits your character, and that’s your place in the world. And regardless of what quest text is, or how it refers to you, remember that it’s your choice and your character, and you get to express yourself that way. That’s at the bottom line of what we want Azeroth to be. We want it to be this welcoming place that lets all those options be out there, lets people experience them, and again, choose the path that your character wants to be. And don’t let anyone else tell you what your character can or can’t be. You decide that.
I like how some people kind of claim ownership of the Blood Elves and treat additions to Velfs/Belfs as some kind of trade.
I like Blood Elves. They’re neat. I also like the High Elves. They are basically the same as the Blood Elves, this is true, but they have a very different political affiliation. I would argue that having a different political affiliation is enough to warrant a separate race.
I mean, are the Void Elves really any different? Sure, they got their DNA infused with Cthulu juice, so they look different… but they started their lives as Blood Elves. They were Blood Elves up until Lor’themar decided that bad magics are bad. Surely the Alliance with all their zealous light fanatics is the perfect sanctuary! /s
The Void Elves affiliation was forced. Do they really care about the Alliance? They didn’t choose to become a part of the Alliance for any other reason than … well, Lor’themar’s sudden and weird ban on shadow magics. The High Elves chose to fight alongside the Alliance, and they likely share many of the same values. Surely they would have joined their Blood Elf kin after TBC if this wasn’t the case?
From the lips of Danuser himself, comes what must be the strongest argument in favour of allowing full high elven options within the void elf framework. This is the guy Ion Hazzikostas asks when it comes to lore and character customisation options.
A person who has written himself into the story of a game and has an obsession with a certain female corpse zombie serial killer genocidal banshee needs not involve himself anymore with the high elf lore…
This is true for Pandaren not for high /blood elves.
Blood elves are the vicious , scheming, ruthless, conniving, ambitious and deceitful bunch. 90% of the population of quel thalas pre arthas.
They drained living beings for magic, enslaved naaru, they used blood magic, they betrayed their old allies for new opportunities.
Meanwhile high elves are the loyal, steadfast, righteous and temperate 10% left.
Politics aside, they were and are different.
Or senior game designer and lead narrative designer of the entire game, as the rest of us know him. You can ignore him if you want, of course, but he’s the one with the most knowledge and power in these matters, regardless of what you think.
