Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race (Part 1)

I think that is where a lot of us are at, right now. They’ve pretty much made High Elves playable. One or two tweaks and the job is done. We don’t need a new Allied Race. You would be able to play an Alliance High Elf such as the Silver Covenant with the existing mechanics. Roll Void Elf, Blood Elf skin option. Pick a non tentacle hair option, get the Silver Cov tabard and there you go. Ideally blond as an option, but ehh, Black haired High Elves -do- exist.

The purpose of this thread is now unclear. You can play an Alliance Elf, such as the Silver Covenant.

To be honest, this is how most Roleplayers approach it. Not -every- Human is born in Northshire Abbey, or has ever even been there! They even confirm this in game, we know Admiral Rogers was born in Southshore, yet that is not a playable option! She’s still a Human though.

Good, because everybody hates the Farakki they are enemies to both Horde and Alliance so would have a rough time of it!

But yes, the basic point you make is sound.

pretty much no? Because it;s not what community ever asked. And still void elves look like crap compared to blood elves, which received full alliance highelf customization options.

playable highelves silver covenant

How can Blood Elves have received Alliance High Elves customisations options, if, as you say, High Elves are not playable? For that statement to be true, High Elves would already have to be playable, in which case what are you asking for? Alternatively Blood Elf got Customisation options that you would -like to see- on a future High Elf playable race, that does not as yet, exist.

Which is it? The two statements are mutually exclusive…

For some reason this whole debate reminds me of a Police Squad scene…

playable race for horde, + blue eyes .

So a Horde race receiving customisation for a Horde race that has been in the game for Horde NPC’s for a while…

Ahuh…That makes sense.

Moonguard Highborne as Horde playable race as those Highborne joined the Shal’dorei which literally means Highborne allies of the Horde as well.

Moonguard Highborne playable race!!!

Elves were always as alliance thing…horde should thank their lucky stars that they received alliance race.

This ain’t Tolkien. Elves in Warcraft have their own lore, and right now they are mighty annoyed at the Humans and Pal club, so are quite happily Horde.

Which does make sense. Quel’thalas as a nation was only in the Alliance of Lordaeron for one War. It has -Never- Been in the Grand Alliance as currently exists.

So no, Elves are not an Alliance thing. Elves are an -Elven- thing. And right now, the nation sees a brighter future with the Horde, than with sectarian war criminals who murder their innocent civilians. And who can blame them.

The Horde did not receive an Alliance race. The Alliance are getting a few customisations so that they can look like a -Horde- race!

why would blood elves being an alliance allied race even that out? the reason people play horde is the bigger community for end game stuff. Besides we already have void elves. no need for identical looking allied races for the same faction. It would be mechagnomes 2.0 wich nobody would want.

just play horde if you want to play some bloody blood elf without purple hair

Looking forward to Void Elves (among other allied races) getting their new customization options including blood elf hair colors. I’m pretty sure you will never see “High Elf Mage” player on the tooltip. It will always say Void Elf. I really have no idea why is this thread still up when people got what they wanted minus the hair colors which are 100000% coming including new normal hairstyles.

Cool, have they announced the next wave of customisations already then? Be interesting to see what stuff Blood Elves get, and the other Allied races, who were kind of thrown under the bus in favour of Void Elves last time. Have you got a link? I can’t find anything on Wowhead and they usually at least have some hints on there?

I am happy with Void Elves but I am so impatient about getting some lighter hair colours. We do not have a single properly light hair colour - all colours are blue and grey shades and there’s a single violet shade. Especially grey shades remind me of grandma hair a little. I would love to see a white and rose pink colour, and maybe a single blonde shade with voidy blue tentacles.

i didnt said that. But elves were in alliance or on their own not in horde. Why would elves want have anything in common with horde?

thats why third faction for elves only would be good option.

BLOOD ELVES. check data like 40% blood elves and their OP racial prenerf.

playable silver covenant highelves.

well better then nothing i guess to make void elves look like highelves but still, playable HIGHElves are and will be wanted. Period?

I am happy with them too, only problem is the hair colors are UGLY.

No white
Not even a proper Black. (They gave it to the NPC’s instead)

But I am patient and I will see what 9.1 brings us

Void Elves should also get black hair.

Blood Elves have it and the High Elf mother in the Sylvanas Warbringer had it, and it works for Void Elves.

Indeed, it works for all Elves, since NPC Nightborne in Silvermoon also have black hair and that isn’t accessible for Nightborne players.

Allied races were feature of BfA. BfA is over. No more allied races planned for now. Let it sink.

Alliance is not getting highelves. Go play your fair skinned blue eyed void elves, its all you need for goldshire escapades anyway.

Come along…but that bare-chest away. :no_mouth:

This isn’t the burn you think it is, Blood Elf player.

NO! We horde warriors have bare chests it is the orcish way! And I have no shoulders cuz saurfang and honor and stuff.
