Errm, You know you typing “Yes, High Elves, Silver Covenant” does not mean they are actually going to happen, you know? I mean we all know you want them to happen, which is fair enough, but stop giving people this false hope that they are going to be announced.
Blizzard have already said that is it for the Allied Races.
Now some people quote Ion when he said ‘All things are possible in the future’, as some sort of indication that they are getting High Elves. It’s weird how they believe him on some things, but don’t believe him on others.
Do you remember the howls of indignation when he said “If you want to play blonde haired high Elves, the Horde is waiting for you!” The furore by High Elf fans was immense! “No! You can’t believe him!” (Which is actually true when it comes to Lore matters, he freely admits he is more about game mechanics), and yet when he said “Blue Eyes for Blood Elves make no sense” everyone rolled their eyes and went “Somebody reboot his brain, he doesn’t know what he is talking about” Except for High Elf fans, who were ecstatic, and took the datamined blue eyes as ‘proof’ they were getting High Elves.
Which of course never happened, because Ion got his lore wrong (not the first time) and the blue eyes were indeed for those Blood Elves who had never been exposed to Fel, and also for Void Elves, so that they could look like High Elves.
Its just weird the way some people say that he is either 100% right about something, or 100% wrong about something, dependent upon whether they can twist it to say that High Elves have been announced, or will be imminently.
Which has not happened…
To be honest, we are hitting saturation value with the Troll race as well as Orcs. Many races have two variants on Horde now, Alliance too. We don’t need anything more, especially as people can now play High Elves on Alliance side by using the ‘normal’ skin and blue eyes.
Err, that isn’t exactly on point is it though? Because it is incorrect as an assessment. I mean apart from the bit about them being completely right that Nightborne have been neglected. I mean they -certainly- should get some attention (Finishing their models would have been a good start) before Blizzard even -consider- giving more High Elf -look-a-like- stuff to Void Elves.

She clearly looks like a High elf with natural skin. And with one natural hair color in the future it’s even more possible.
As blizzard said even if the name doesn’t say “Wildhammer” it doesn’t mean that you aren’t. YOU make that decision for yourself on what you want your characters to be. That’s the whole point of the Shadowlands customizations
Meaning allied races like Wildhammer, High elf, Highborne, Sand trolls, Dark trolls are clearly NOT coming. Because they are already added in customizations.
But you are free to continue to ask for them, I’m just saying chances are very low with what we already have. I would rather put that same energy on giving Velves a few more High elven options.
This is the same man who said you would never get High Elves on Alliance. I am curious as to why you place credence in one set of his words, yet not the other. I mean I say curious, I think we all know why, but I do find it ironic…
Err. No…As people have shown in this thread, you can look completely like a High Elf. Like…totally like one…

almost like blood elf, not even close as highelf.
Given that Blood Elves and High Elves are biologically identical, how can you look like one, but not the other?
