Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race (Part 1)

They might be listening to the playerbase, but how long did it take for alliance to get the * high elf* options? I’m just saying they dont apply changes instant just because some people are making 50 different topics about it.
They will do it when they want to do it not on playerbases time.
Blizzard is a company it will follow the trail of money, if they can see theres a profit in something they will do it. Blood elf fanbase is bigger than small loud community of the high elf, pissing off the bigger base might not be good for the money.

I seriously doubt that a substantial group would be “pissed off” by what’s now merely a few hairstyles. Not enough to unsubscribe, anyway. I honestly believe there are far more people who would subscribe, or resubscribe in most cases, if the final features needed to play the characters they’ve been wanting to play for years, were to become available.

I’ve got both my high elven crests in large formats,

and were considering merging them, as you suggested. But I truly don’t want to encourage the Silver Covenant exclusivist obsession. High elves are far more than the Silver Covenant.

This they did. And honestly, I don’t see that as a bad thing. Well, from a morality perspective, of course. But not for a game play perspective, especially set in a franchise named Warcraft. I mean, who wants to play as a Mary Sue anyway? Moral ambiguity adds game play flavour. looks at the ashes of Teldrassil

Name one person or organization in WoW that not commited a war crime in any form or fashion…
(To help: A war crime is an act that constitutes a serious violation of the laws of war that gives rise to individual criminal responsibility. Examples of crimes include intentionally killing civilians or prisoners, torturing, destroying civilian property, taking hostages, performing a perfidy, raping, using child soldiers, pillaging, declaring that no quarter will be given, and seriously violating the principles of distinction, proportionality, and military necessity.)

Maybe the Tortollan Seekers or the Tillers. Maybe. And I think that’s about it.

Those Tortollans are very nasty warriors tho’ (remeber the WQ with the shell riding, the quest giver Ankoan/Gilbin even mentions, dude, they are siiiick) [anyone who is not above to balckmail the Zandalari royal family Imho capable ov everything anyway]
And those tiller regularly sent you to kill and rob virmen and Hozen (for what? spices, fruits?) - and one of them even a Hozen!

That is your opinion. I think a lot of us blood elfers are just tired of giving away our customizations without getting nothing in return.
Void elves can already look like voidies and bloodies while we …can only look like ourselfs. I wouldnt mind sharing customization if we would get the same amount back but getting ugly hairstyles and useless jewelery is not gonna cut it.
Giving a new race for alliance which is technically the same race horde already has just named " high elves " would be even sillier

Isn’t the same happened with the Night Elves, named “Nightborne”?

they just defended their people. Horde caused this, then somehow alliance did war crimes but horde are free to go?

Blame yourselves for anything happened after your WAR CRIMES.

yes they are, such as silver covenant faction

wow now you feel like alliance felt for 16 years? I bet nice feeling?

We gave actually playable race not only just customizations? what we got in return…???- nothing

Does nightborne to you look anything like night elf? At least we got …a version of elfs that isnt purely 100% copy

they look similar? Because nightborne are actually nightelves

Yes
Yes totally, except the tattoos
Similar, more so, same model!
Does playable Nightbonre look to you anything like the real Nightbonre, the NPCs in Suramar? Or they are generic Nightelven model #334?
Okay arcane tattoos… yay. Invisible thanks to the armour

Ok…so the ugly manly faces, bulky bodies and few silly arcane tattoos you cant even see makes them 100% copies…sure…
Nightborne is a horrible looking class lets be honest

Nightborne do look like Night elves tho… I always get the two mixed up especially the males.

And who knows Blizzard might even borrow the Night elf skin colors for the Nightborne, which is totally fine as some of them work perfectly.

they look awesome. Their logging screen is amazing like their city Suramar,

They do have one of the biggest cities in game, and best looking cities lol.

But let’s be honest they do need a customization update lol

Agreed. I can’t speak for the blood elf players and what you want, but not even most high elf fans want a separate high elf race anymore. Not with the void elves being this close.

I really do like the look of the right hand side one there, It is similar enough to the Icon of Blood, that you can see that they share a heritage, yet different enough to be its own thing.

Oh absolutely, It was a refreshing thing to see the Alliance actually bare its teeth and bite back, which had in my opinion anyway, been long overdue.
I’m still -hoping- to see more of that backlash kind of mentality from Tyrande. I’ve went Ardenweald Cov on Brigante, so I am seeing a lot of questing with Ysera, Shandris, yes and Tyrande, so I am hoping we will see her go utter psycho on people.

That is why I am suggesting that for every Blood Elf option given to Alliance, a new and Unique option is given to Blood Elves.

Everyone wins.

What are you even talking about? How were the Silver Covenant defending their people? No one was attacking them! They weren’t even -Alliance- at the time. They were the ones on the murder and torture spree, not the Sunreavers!

How can you type that with a straight face… Yes, I too remember that whole novel about an Alliance character being tried for War Crimes…

I mean lets be fair Garrosh -did- commit War Crimes, no two ways about it, and I’m glad he’s dead, but some of the charges were ridiculous and went to show that Golden had written it with the perspective of Garrosh=The Horde since WC1.

Which…he kind of really didn’t.

I mean… would you seriously charge someone who was a three year old child living on a planet that didn’t even know yours existed of War crimes carried out by other people on your planet?

Because in Christie Golden World that makes sense. A Three year old child can stand War Crimes charges for something other people did, on a planet they did not know existed.

Wow…

One Sunreaver used Kirin Tor techniques to steal the Divine Bell from Darnassus.

That isn’t exactly a War Crime. You’re probably looking at White Collar crime, possibly like, on a level with Fraud or Embezzlement. Not a War Crime.

Not like the Silver Covenant did in response to that…:stuck_out_tongue:

Who are one group of the High Elves. Such a shame you don’t want High Elves…

That needs some examining as a statement. Horde players and Alliance players both asked for an NPC race that was part of their faction in lore, even though not numerous, ever since Vanilla.
One faction got Customisation to allow them to look like the desired race.
I’ll give you a clue, they wear a lot of blue.

(Ironically I really hope Horde never get Ogres, which are the direct parallel of High Elves in that regard)

Which playable race was that? I mean it can’t have been Blood Elves, they weren’t playable. I mean I remember playing Vanilla, and both Factions had four races, and those four races are still on those factions, which one do you mean?

Not technically true. There are physical differences, which Thalyssra actually remarks upon in the Cutscene/flashback when you first meet her. There is a physical difference between Kaldorei and Shal’dorei. It is actually a more distinct difference than between Quel’dorei and Sin’dorei.

Have you seen what they -actually- get as their racial zone though?

Trust me, it is garbage. Even Telogrus Rift has more detail…

we want silver covenant highelves.
