You have High Elves playable. Sure, they don’t have Paladins, but nor should they, High Elves were never massive on Paladins anyway.

You can, In Shadowlands, play a High Elf. Groovy.

void elves and blood elves and no high elves YET.

Fixed it for you.

Technically this isn’t correct. High Elves don’t have the Void Elf hair colors.
So they can look somewhat similar but not identical.

And before someone in this thread screeches in my face about being an entitled “Helfer” I’ll add my life-saving disclaimer

Disclaimer: I’m not asking for and have not asked for Blood Elf Hair Colors, I’ve asked for white :white_circle: and black :black_circle: hair colors for Void Elves because it’s cool and it’s not copying a Blood Elf Hair Color.
Blood Elves don’t have the white or black I’m talking about. Their black is a kind of “blue-black” and their white is more of a “platinum-blonde.”

Horde developers catering to their special faction

I agree with the statement of Void Elves looking too much like Blood Elves, and that is definitely a problem and they should be careful with that. But you only have yourselves (the High Elf community) to blame for this tbh. A large community of people were on their knees willing to do anything to get High Elves, even though it would go against the lore of there not being many left. What’s the point of this race being “special” if it’s just going to be pandered to people who haven’t really come up with a valid reason why High Elves should be a thing? The Alliance High Elves are borderline extinct, period. That’s it. These new customisation options were made to satisfy the High Elf community, and congrats, you can look like a High Elf now.

Horde “High Elves” are definitely more accurate High Elves. Blood Elves don’t have Entropic Embrace, so they’re just a High Elf all the time. Plus the Blood Elf racials are more fitting to a High Elf, it’s pretty funny. But I don’t think they favor Horde over Alliance on purpose.

You can look like a High Elf. You can play your Void Elf -as- a High Elf whilst looking like a High Elf, the only difference are the racials, and what name it calls you. Blizzard don’t think that matters, I don’t think it matters. My Dwarf when I level him and take all the warpaint and feathers options will be a Wildhammer, not a Bronzebeard, because he will -look- like a Wildhammer, and that’s what is important.

You can look like a High Elf.

I thought they were getting those hair colours? I genuinely thought they were getting jet black and snow white (Which is actually pretty much Vereesa’s hair colour). Are they not? That would suck, to be fair, That’s why I was tetched when people were complaining about hair colours “For heavens sake, you can have the same hair colour as the leader of the freaking Silver Covenant!”

If they’re not getting White and Black, which I thought they were, then yes, that is a bit of a half-done job when it comes to customisation.

You’re right about the Belf Hair colours, bizarrely my two Blood Elves are on either end of that spectrum, if you check my Avatar your boy Brigante there has the palest hair option for a Blood Elf, and my Warlock Tessarin has the darkest hair option, which as you say is really a sort of very dark purple, or Black with purple in it.

Well, we’ve asked you for any evidence for these increasingly outlandish claims in the past and you have had none, so now will be no different I suppose, but do you have any evidence to suggest that the Developers at Blizzard actually belong to a warlike confederation of non-human species’ who live on a planet called Azeroth that we have not yet come into contact with, and if so why did they decide to travel through space to our planet and work for a gaming company?

If they had any integrity they would remove void elves and rename it high elves. Apologise to the alliance players for the second class treatment. Instead half baked solutions just like everything about 8,3

People may find this ridiculous to read but your posting is reasonable.

Looking back on the whole situation since Legion 7.3, pulling a complete new playable race out of thin air with almost no backstory is even for Blizzard a new low. Should always have been the High Elves from the start who could have channeled the void because Alleria taught them to do it.

It is not.

The Void Elves is a result of blizzard’s ridicolous brainfarting when it comes to lore.

Minor changes to that.

The Void Elves should have been High Elves inspired by Alleria, then going through the exact same steps that the current Void Elves had, fall into the same trap and turn the same blueberry colours and other colours the Void Elves have access to currently. Then these High Elves would rename themselves Void Elves.

That would have been better, over blizzard’s ridicolous statement of: “Look… look guys, the Blood Elves are totally loyal to the Horde! The Horde non-supporters joined the Alliance!”

I don’t think so… At least, I haven’t heard or seen anything about it. :man_shrugging:
But yeah, if those two hair colors are confirmed and people still want more I’ll agree that it’s asking too much.

Indeed… And that’s fine for the Blood Elves to have some shades unique to them.
I’d just like to see the jet-black and snow-white hair colors on the Void Elves.

  1. Because it’s cool.
  2. Because it fits. Jet-black suits them because “Void, darkness, edgy etc etc”.
While completely white suits them in my opinion because it’s kind of like during their studies, the “vibrant colors” of their hair has been drained away by the Void energies they’ve been exposed to. Or something like that.

There are hairstyles without tentacles though. Like the one I’m using for example.

That would be a kick in the nuts to those who like the Void Elves, like me.

And what about the people who like void elves? Do they not matter?

They came out of nowhere and are new additions, but people like them. It would be akin to deleting a class and reintroducing a similar version of it.

If they would have introduced properly, then nobody would ever had a thing to complain. The High Elves can have their void-based magic. But even in the current form you aren’t allowed to be a Shadow Paladin (but Shadow Priest is fine, huh).

It’s just a big mess which could have been solved much easier, better and competent.

A shadow paladin? What?

The fact that void has less representation than light doesn’t mean void elves are suddenly biased against. If Blizzard releases another class that has void theme, and is available to void elves and not blood elves, that would solve the so called “class bias”.

What a ridiculous idea. Some people actually like Void Elves, They’re in this thread even.

That is absolutely not the solution, and you know that full well.

Deleting people’s characters or forcing race changes is reasonable? C’mon dude, for real?

No no no, that’s not how this works. You aren’t allowed to be a Shadow Paladin, because there is no such thing, is why.

Shadow Priests, however, -do- exist. By this logic of ‘You can have Priests so should have Paladins’ this should therefore extend to Night Elves, Gnomes, Worgen, Kul Tirans, Mechagnomes, Void Elves, Darkspear Trolls, Goblins, Forsaken. Probably some others, but yeah, all of those, some of which are main races.

Why on earth would Void Elves have Paladins. I mean its not even as if High Elves were renowned for their Paladins either?

I think what Retributor meant to say was a swap. Make them first and foremost Helves and then to Velves, not the other way around.

What about the Twilight Vindicators from Cataclysm? Can this work?

https://wow.gamepedia.com/Twilight_Vindicator

I could care less if the Helves would get Paladins or not - but given that the game really wants to pin down the “Horde has Light Elves” and “Alliance has Dark Elves”-theme, it would just fit into the bigger picture.

(edit: typos)

No. Still changing someone’s character -race-. They are Void Elves, they can look like High Elves, and to all intents and purposes -be- High Elves, but campaigning for the race to be changed to satisfy a vocal minority is a really bad precedent to set.

I’d rather they actually just went down the route of ‘All Elves are selfish, cruel, manipulative and fickle’ so, like actual Elves from our legends. No need for simple things like “light or dark”, just have them all be like Elves, who were utterly mercurial and cared about no one else apart from themselves.
