Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race (Part 1)

we got void elfs so this threads point is?

How and where?

The Alliance did not exist during the troll wars. Humans close to Quel’thalas borders helped the High Elves and that’s why Anasterian was indebted to them, as stated before.

I return your advice back and suggest you get your facts straight. The High Elves were not part of the Alliance anymore after the Second War and the Blood Elves never were. Kael’thas tried to go back to it by following Garithos’ instructions (another racist, sorry to spell it out for you once again) but that treacherous bastard was more interested in killing Kael’thas and his troops than fighting alongside them. Also, Kael’thas did not join the Horde. The decision was made by Lor’themar. Given the fact that Kael’thas was ultimately put down by Blood Elves with the help of Draenei and the Alliance, your argument makes no sense.

Vashj freed Kael’thas, but it was Sylvanas who killed Garithos.

Yet you got everything wrong

Stating the obvious much?

I’m disappointed that you would rather discard a true lore element because it does not fit your fluffy peace and love vision of WoW’s universe and your favorite race. High Elves and all its branches (Blood and Void) are my favorite race, it doesn’t stop me from seeing what’s wrong in their mindset and culture. But that’s a common problem with fans of anything these days, the lack of critical vision.

I’m not going to lie I stopped reading here
For the one and only reason that I’m talking rts lore
So any arguments about what happened years later in a different game does not apply

The fact that (s)he mixed the events of both games up was very confusing, I did the same thing as you at first

Your comment made me go back and read the rest
So much nonsense
So so much
It hurts

It just hurts

So what. Humans are now part of the Alliance. Thus theirs and the High elves’ history sees the two siding together.

Some High elves chose to remain in the Alliance after the invasion of the Scourge. And ofc they’d have to come up with a reason for Blood elves to be Horde since the plan was to put them in the Horde in the 1st place, which is why they made up the whole ‘‘racist Garithos’’ stuff. Do you think TBC was not in development at the time of Warcraft 3? We’re actually talking about the same company since both Warcraft and WoW were made by Blizzard entertainment, and WoW is the continuation of Warcraft.

Why are you acting like this? Do you understand how insulting you are being right now? I’m not even going to put you on ignore you do not deserve that kind of mercy.

We. Do. Not. Give. A. Single. Damn. About. Your. Interpretation. Of. The. Lore. Especially when you are being an absolute crappy bull about your damn attitude.

I was talking about the story from the rts
Your reply was that it was done for a faction in an mmo several years later

How is that not nonsense?

That makes your statement about the Alliance helping Quel’thalas during the Troll Wars false. Simple.

There was no High Elves in the Alliance when the Scourge invaded Quel’thalas. Did you read my previous comment carefully?

You. Make. Zero. Sense. World of Warcraft was not a definitive project when WIII was in development, neither was the idea of adding Blood Elves as a playable race since the World of Warcraft vanilla hadn’t even been finalized at that time. To go back to Garithos, he was not even brought up as a justification for the Blood Elves joining the Horde in TBC. Spies sent by the Alliance (Night Elves and dwarves) was one of the first motives, but the biggest one was the help sent by Sylvanas and the Forsaken to deal with the Scourge in the Ghostlands.

We’re talking about a company that is so clueless about the stories they tell that they literally retcon stuff from one patch to the next. The developers constantly admit that they don’t plan things that much time ahead of the content release, yet you seriously think that the Garithos plot was there to explain why the Blood Elves would later join the Horde in a project that hadn’t been finalized yet? No. That plot line was there to justify Kael’thas accepting Lady Vashj’s help and joining Illidan in Outland in Warcraft 3, that’s it.

Yet here you are, lecturing us with your misinterpretation of what the lore actually is

No I actually love void elves
I love the void theme and I love how edgy they are
They are either my favourite or second favourite race.
Them or vulpera

I’ve even said how I’m good with high elves getting their own race.
How I actually prefer it to void elves and High elves being put together.

Problem is, when it comes to talking about elves, there are people that like to rewrite to story.
For example saying that they always had a long and happy relationship with the alliance.
Where that is not true in the slightest.

I won’t pretend that people’s fiction is real.
Nor will I pretend that people who don’t like high elves have lots of arguments to go off now.

But what I certainly won’t stand for is you accusing me of not caring about void elves.

How do you know what Blizzard planned lore-wise for future expansions? Did you work there?

SO WHY ARE WE GETTING SO FREAKING HEATED OVER MADE UP LORE!!!

And you completely ignore the High elf theme in the meantime. You’re one of those who play Blood elf for the light theme and high elf theme and Void elf solely for the Void theme right? And you couldn’t care less about the wishes of High elf fans or the High elf theme in the meantime since they all just ‘‘exist in the da Horde’’.

I suggest you read more developers interviews instead of taking your assumptions for confirmed facts.

YOU ARE THE ONE WHO CAME OUT OF NOWHERE TO LECTURE US WITH INCORRECT INFORMATIONS!!!

Woah, this thread took a wild turn fast… :open_mouth:

Yep
Because I’m a void elf not a high elf
They might be the same people but I play a void version of them. Thats what I love

I stopped playing blood elf completely when void elves came out actually
As someone who has suffered with mental health issues all their life, a race which deals with constant voices in their head was very relatable.

For void elves?
Not at all
Hate it

As their own race?
Go for it

Good. This is a HIGH ELF thread. What exactly did you expect? You come in here stating real life examples for a fantasy based game to crap on the High elf theme and expect us to applaud you?

Well, can I intervene here. The fact that yes, when we roll a Void Elf or a Blood Elf, we’re technically one of the 2 groups, the Void Elves, or the Blood Elves. But both groups are technically still High Elves, so it isn’t really wrong for a person to say that they are a High Elf if on a VE or BE. We’re free to chose on who we want to be in a role-playing game.

I argued against false lore and high elves being baked into void elves.
Neither or which is out of place here.

The story should be told accurately.
And im sure pretty much all high elf fans would rather their own race.

I dont see your issue

To be fair, in the same post I said

Theyre the same race of people
But it’s the void ones I love

I know for others it’s different

Ah, sorry Moritz. Missed it.

Oh really?
