And we have them playable, through customizations by both Blood or Void Elves. But technically, both are the same race. Just because it doesn’t say “High Elf” in your name tag, doesn’t mean that you’re not a High Elf.

Yes agree : “blue eyed blood elf is still a blood elf”, so “blue eyed void elf is still a void elf”. true. Somewhat uninteresting video.
I have around 120 void elves, they suck. As soon as high elves will be playable they all will be high elves. And 5 blood elves, i don’t like because they are horde.
Void elves need a lot of work to make them look closer as high elves such as silver covenant. Racial, ugly login screen, hairstyles, voice, eye color, lore.
Looks like void elves have many times used floor cleaning brush on their heads with tentacles.
We do not. High elves are not playable. Yes somewhat customizations were given for void elves to look like high elves, yet they can not look identical close enough like blood elves can.
Considering void elves were blood elves, they should have received everything like blood elves did, a.k.a. full high elf customization option. Even blood elves missing 1 thing to look exactly like high elves, yet they are way and beyond closer then void elves can look like high elves.
Also, please mind that people what like most about the high elves is LORE, allegiance, name tag etc.

That’s false. Taliesin said there are High Elf Wayfarers in Telogrus, studying the Void. So Void elves can also be High elves who study the Void, or experiment with it. Some of these High elves could be coming from the Silver covenant, or Kirin’Tor, or other places.
All Void elves need is more hairstyles and the fixing of the tentacle holes in the current ones. Perhaps they can also be given Glyphs for their voidy racials to look arcane based, to show that pure Silver covenant High elves are battling alongside Void elves. You don’t need a separate race to get your Silver covenant HEs.

Yes we need the High elves, such as Silver Covenant high elves. Nothing can change that but playable these elves.
Blood Elves are Blood Elves, Void Elves are Void Elves.
You can RP and pretend High Elves all you want. But you are not a High elf.
Blizzard keeps adding them in game:
Vanilla Quel’Danil Lodge, Farstrider Lodge,
TBC: Allerian Stronghold,
WoLK: most notable faction added Silver Covenant,
Pandaria : Kirin Tor offesnive, (SC Elves)
Legion : cinematic with Elisande Night/high/blood elves. and questing.
BFA : portal trainer, 7th Legion shield mages, two new High Elf NPC’s in BFA Islands expeditions,
In sw there are tourists npc such as high elves…

what change? I do not want play void elf or blood elf, i want play high elf. Perfect least work required faction silver covenant. Why not if people will play them?

Adding high elves affects no one, I don’t understand why it rubs people up the wrong way?
If anything it’ll make a large fraction of the playerbase happy!

Cenarius himself confirmed that Night Elves originated from Trolls, back in Cata. Pre Chronicles.

Probably because it’s a simple request supported by lore and blizzards allied race feature.
Now if they hadn’t poisoned the discussion with void elves…

Wouldn’t be much different that turning them into Blood elves and their green eyes did would it?
They where ‘‘High elves too’’ Turned green eyed collectively together over Magic radiation and new source of power.
Who’s to say High elves of Stormwind couldn’t do the same. For their own reasons.

I think maybe you’ve misunderstood my opinion, but I am not sure.
The entire High Elf community does. But Blizzard decided to go down this path instead of something else. And this is what we got. Is it something everyone wants? No. But is it better than nothing? Yes.
And think about it, Blizzard is looking at removing the class/race restrictions in the future, starting with Priest, Mages and Rogues for all races in 10.0, there is further more options to expand on playing that High Elf in the future.
