Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race (Part 1)

A couple made a YouTube video on it, so it must be true.

Lmao.

I quit wow and played Final Fantasy past two years. Coming back, it is good to see some things never change. Like this thread.

But void elves are high elves.
The original void elves were blood elves.
Blood elves are high elves.

In the rift you can see normal non void, non blood, high elves training to become void elves.

A perfectly valid story for a players void elf for example is that they were a member of the silver covenant, having grown disillusioned of the neutrality of dalaran, has turned to void to fight for the alliance along side alleria.

Void elves are the probably the most versatile race in the game for stuff like this.

Heey I didn’t know you have an EU main poster

My character history is complicated haha
I always post on here on my main but my main has changed a few times.

So i used to main a void elf priest called Moritz in bfa
When Vulpera came out i made my main a vulpera priest called mclovin

They were my main until i discovered demonology warlock.
So i made a void elf warlock called moritz

Last night i faction changed them into a vulpera and changed their name to mclovin.

But because im still on the same server, the forum thinks im the same mclovin as the one i used to post on.
Even though that vulpera is a priest who now goes by tad.

Did that make any sense? Lol

Is is a common knowledge that Night elves are not related and did not descended from trolls.

We were created by image of Elune.

Little is known about the night elves’ precise origins, for their race was formed so long ago that no hard evidence has surfaced to prove or invalidate this theory. All that is known for certain is that a tribe of nocturnal humanoids came to live on the shores of the first Well of Eternity, and the Well’s cosmic energies changed them into the night elves we know today.

Certainly many trolls do believe that the humanoids who developed into the night elf race were trolls. The theory does have some credibility, for there is at least a superficial physical resemblance between trolls and night elves. Furthermore, the troll race dominated much of ancient Kalimdor–the only continent on Azeroth before the Great Sundering–long before the night elves came into power.

Nevertheless, many night elves find this theory preposterous and abhorrent. They are quick to point out that the first night elves began their rise to power by defeating a number of nearby troll tribes. As a consequence, the trolls came to fear and respect the might of their new rivals. The troll theory of night elf ancestry may have been a direct result of this early conflict. The trolls hated the night elves–a sentiment that persists to this day–and may have wished to marginalize the night elf race and its accomplishments. Also, attributing the night elf race with a troll heritage likely helped the trolls come to terms with their own shocking defeat.

Without additional data, there is little point in debating the merits of this controversial theory. No doubt it will remain a matter of contention for years to come.

Also, this site, very well explained.

Well nothing but actual real high elves like Silver Covenant can change that. Void and blood eves can RP high elves as they want but they still are not the high elves.

Void elves are void elves
blood elves are blood elves
high elves are high elves.

 HAHA. teared from laughter…

He will call you a troll and will say that you’re doomed like this topic based on his opinion.

And still all three of them are high elves.

They are still high elves but clearly looking at facts is too hard for you.

Considering that he is not wrong and i have yet se any real evidence from you and how you behave is clear proof that you have no evidence to back you up.

Where is the proof that night elves where created by Elune? There is more proof that night elves are descended from trolls than the opposite.

What large fraction of the player base? Do you even have numbers of how many would like tho play high elves? Beside you have high elves both for hord and alliance.

Come on now, Very few still believes Nelves were created by Elune. You are the only one i have seen in years. I will admit that she was the creator of Night Elves at some point in the lore (after all she is based on Selune, the goddess of the Dark Elves from DnD). A lot of old Warcraft lore is lifted directly from DnD and Blizzard probably wanted to distance themself from it. Likely the reason why High Elves never became playable either. Being that they are almost a carbon copy of DnD High Elves (For example, Helves capital in DnD is called Silverymoon).

In the currently lore, at best she might have been indirectly involved with their creation (for example, making sure the dark trolls found and settled around the Well of Eternity). But even that is suspect since Shadowlands confirmed she has very little knowledge of what’s going on outside of her own realm.

This is a note made by Brann Bronzebeard after tinkering with the Tribunal of Ages, and then later confirmed to be true by both Freya and Cenarius, Elune’s own son.

Not to mention that Night Elves looks like very similar to Trolls.

Also both of those sites you linked says Night Elves are descendants of Dark Trolls, so i am not really sure why you included those links.

https://wowwiki-archive.fandom.com/wiki/Night_elf

The night elves are the direct descendants of dark trolls. This peace loving and fiercely independent tribe took up residence at the Well of Eternity. The magic contained within elevated their forms to match their graceful spirits, completely transforming them into highly intelligent and virtually immortal beings, forever changing them into the night elves known today.

https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Night_elf#Emergence_of_the_night_elves

Around 15,000 years ago a tribe of dark trolls unconcerned by the battles for land and power and longing for a peaceful connection to the world, came to settle near the translucent waters of the Well of Eternity, the prime source of all magic on the planet. Over time, the Well’s cosmic power affected this nocturnal and independent tribe, suffusing their flesh and bones, elevating their forms to match their graceful spirits.

Either way, this is going off topic so i’ll drop it and let you believe what you want. Because tomorrow i might be wrong, going by how often Blizzard changes their lore. It wasn’t too long ago Elune was the true creator of the universe/multiverse before being relegated to being just a pantheon member of life. Barely more powerful than a dungeon boss if we go by Kyrestia.

The idea of the Kaldorei being Amani trolls who mutated because of the energies of the Well of Eternity has been present in game since vanilla. There’s a book suggesting it in Booty Bay and other cities (The Twin Empires), but it has been retconned by Chronicles years later which clearly states that the Kaldorei are descended from the Dark Trolls.

Just sharing the info for those who are really curious, we all know that the only real Troll on this thread doesn’t care about lore facts anyway

Wrath of the lich king… aint vanilla or classic. Also they weren’t Amani but the Dark trolls. This is lore added to the game after Wotlk and Cataclysm.

Night Elves used to be the oldest playable race ingame too, And the first druids untill that was retconned in to be Taurens as well.

And knowing this… People unironically still call Night elves unevolved Trolls like their some degenarate race of trolls.

It’d be the same as calling Humans a devolved race to apes irl xD but nope… Some people genunly think its the other way around. And aren’t even joking when saying it.

Guess they made an exception for Classic then because it is there

Classic is original World of warcraft to me. Not tbc. or wrath of the lich king. And any lore they shoe horned in since then about the core lore.

Eventually we will end up with ‘‘Classic BFA’’ will you still consider it the same?

Except it isn’t. When I say it’s on Classic, I’m talking about WoW Classic’s servers, not retail.
