So where does that stop? Where does ripping off belfs stop, I know you pretend that’s not happening but it is, since the Belfs are the high elves. So please tell me, after the addition of Velfs, after the skin options, I still hear people complaining. Where do you draw the line and say this is it. Next thing you might be advocating for the exile of belfs from Silvermoon, or their removal altogether, perhaps not you personally, but one of you will. So I think people need to put their foot down and stop this. If Blizzard listened to you then they have to listen to us as well.
When we can honestly say that we’ve got playable high elves.
Not really, no. We’ve been asking for high elves for over a decade. We’ve tried playing blood elves. We didn’t feel right with them, mainly because of the faction. Void elves were said to be a compromise. But they were a different thing, and played because of their void sides, not as a high elf substitute. Now we’re getting almost high elven options for void elves. We didn’t ask for this solution, but here we are, and we’re asking to have the best made out of it.
If you’re dissatisfied with the current state of blood elves, you should spend your efforts attempting to get more and better options for blood elves. Playable high elves won’t make blood elves worse or better, other than increasing the rp value for both factions.
Blood Elves were playable first, therefore they shouldn’t be robbed in order to feed your own ego.
The Blood Elf fanbase has been more than generous with this, but their is a line and you don’t cross it.
And I find that this comment here is a direct contradictory to what you just said to me about not wanting to rob the blood elves of anything. You literally have just said that you are willing to rob them enough to make sure your desires are met.
Is that supposed to make the cloning of belfs feel… what? Justified? Acceptable?
Nothing is being robbed. They’re not losing one single thing.
I honestly don’t see why not.
But you’ve lied.
You said to me, that it wasn’t your intention to take from the blood elves, but also said that you won’t stop asking until your ego is filled.
Your a giant liar. You do want to take from the Blood Elves and you shouldn’t be allowed to.
I’m more than fair in saying you deserve a “Vereesa hairstyle and hair colour.”
Nothing I’ve said has been a lie. It’s not pie. Others getting what you’re having doesn’t take anything away from you. Except your entitlement.
Except their racial uniqueness.
I know you don’t. Well let me put it a way you’d understand. People have been playing belfs for over 10 years and therefore they can refuse to be cloned.
But your not entitled to what a Horde race has.
If your so ungrateful then you don’t deserve any blood elf features.
People have been asking for playable high elves for longer than that. Myself included. High elves exist in the game, and have since the very beginning. All we ask is that they become playable, preferably as their own playable race, but now it’s more plausible to get them as a part of the void elves. And it won’t reduce blood elves, even the slightest.
Just make them and their fanbase feel obsolete knowing that their allied race has more features than they do - an actual core race. You are very selfish.
No but it makes them inferior in every way save for the classes they have.
If Blood Elves and Void Elves were on the same team there’d be absolutely no point to playing the former unless you were a DH or Paladin.
This thread has become very strange since high elf fans got 80% of what they wanted.
I’ve just been reading whats been said on here today and wow this went places.
We’ve only got 20% to go.
Thanks for reminding me I’ve got to make one before the level squish
You’re never going to get it and I think even you know that.
But your not entitled to something my Blood Elf characters have. Only your ego tells you that, which also leaves a lot to be desired.
We did and it got us absolutely nowhere.
Blood Elves are the High Elves - they have the vast majority of the species, they have Quel’Thalas, etc etc. They’ve been a playable race in the game since BC. Right now their customisation feels a little underwhelming (not to say there still isn’t more to come for them), and yeah it’s rather annoying to see Blood Elf customisation being utilised for another race without Blood Elves seeing much in exchange. Right now it would be like Blood Elves gaining the Void Elf skins (and hairstyles if they decide to give those, too) without getting anything in turn. Void Elf fans would rightfully be annoyed that their customisation has been given to someone else, because that is their racial identity. A couple of new hairstyles and hair colours for Void Elves would be fine I reckon, but Blood Elves are the core race and the playable High Elves.
