Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race (Part 1)

But what sort of taste does that give for the Night Elf fans, knowing the Nightborne are getting everything they have, plus more.

That is already insulting them and their intelligence - on top of the recent lore that they were getting throughout BFA and being expected to believe that Tyrande killing a Val’kyr was “justice for Teldrassil.”

In this, Blizzard made it very clear that the core races were the focus. Void Elves and Blood Elves have decent features already. It’s time to move on.
If you want to play a Horde-aligned High Elf (such as the Sunreavers who stood against Vereesa, Jaina and the Covenant), you can and equally, if you want to play an Alleria-loyal High Elf, you can.

And it’s already easy to remove the “voidy” part of the void elves’ hair for the High/Blood Elf features. Hell, the example model they used with the female void elf with pale skin, purple eyes and purple hair already screams “High Elf Arcanist” better than anything Vereesa and her group ever looked like.

Best expression!

Nothing is being sacrificed. Just some playable uniqueness, which, in the end, doesn’t deprive anyone of anything.

I’ve always believed there’s no loss. And I’ve explained why. And I think people are smart enough to realize.

That’s true. But the upcoming new options for void elves strongly match the request for playable high elves, and as such, it’d be a waste to go half of the way and just stop.

Ew, no!

I have night elves, and I’d love to see this. Perhaps not the vines and some of the details (similarly to how there are blood elven features I would prefer that high and void elves didn’t get) that don’t make sense from a lore perspective, but the skin tones, sure. Hair colours as well.

Not at all.

Then by that logic you should be fine with playing a velf. But here you are. Asking for more cloning features.

You haven’t. You just gave your opinion which happens to be very biased. “I’d say anything to get what I want” biased.

literally pathetic response

No but your not getting it.

Blizzard made it clear that the core races were the focus and they’ve given some brilliant examples for what Void and Blood Elves are getting.
It’s time for them to either focus on the other AR or polish up the core races - personally, I’d prefer the latter.

I’m not sure how you got to that conclusion…

As opposed to yours, I suppose?

I’d love for both to happen, actually.

So - move on from Void/High Elves, yeah - I’m down for that.

Apologies if my message sounded like an argument to yours, it definitely wasn’t, I’m still of the stance that Void Elves should not receive Blood Elf customisation - at least not the majority of it. In that sense, I don’t think Nightborne should receive Night Elf stuff at all, but their own personal customisation more suited to them as a race. I was agreeing that them receiving Night Elf stuff would be in a similar vein to VE receiving BE skins. Albeit I wrote it poorly, aha. I consider the BE the OG playable High Elves and they definitely need more attention as a core race than Void Elves need High Elf customisation.

I’ll still keep asking for proper hair, of course.

But the void elves that look like high elves are both high elves and void elves.
They would still carry all the lore that high elf fans like. Just that they studied the void as well.
So it really is the same thing as people have been asking for.

You’ve already got it.
The examples showcase it.

You just want more and don’t know when to stop and appreciate what’s being given.

that argument was the entire point of this thread in a nutshell

“we want a carbon copy of belf because ew no I won’t play horde”

If you don’t feel by deprived by having to play a velf, then why advocate for Helfs?

But you agreed with my opinion, which was actually a fact. You just did your typical mental gymnastics to dismiss this fact as an acceptable loss based on… your opinion. A loss is a loss, no matter how you feel about it.

I’ve concluded that it’s either that or “Take Blood Elves off the Horde.”

you want "uniqueness " by making the worgen elves and having ten different elves in the alliance , you are not thinking dude you are just throwing out vague ideas that would never happen
blizzard already told you that the alliance will never have high elves DEAL WITH IT!

Both factions are getting High Elves…Horde are getting Arcane/Farstrider/Holy Light loving High Elves and the Alliance are getting Void/Arcane/Farstrider loving High Elves.

The latter is already far more unique, considering it was a High Elf who first started tapping into the powers of the Void.

The Silver Covenant, Highvale, Alliance Expedition and Stormwind high elves didn’t all study the void and started turning all voidy in combat. So it’s not exactly really the same thing as people have been asking for.

I haven’t seen proper high elf hair colours and tendril free styles in any official source. Have you?

I want both. I know, I’m really greedy. Wanting to play more than one thing in a game like this. Scandalous! Rude, even.

A slight loss of uniqueness. Nothing real.

No not every single one of them but there is no reason the played character couldn’t have originated from one.
And imo if thats not good enough you’re being too fussy :stuck_out_tongue:

Humans-gnomes-dwarfs-dranei-worgen-the void substitude - gilneans -light dranei-dark irons -night elves

take your pick

It is rather funny how the Pro-High Elf people always use the lore when it suits them ( Silver Covenant - Playable HE Population) but ignore the fact that the majority of High Elves joined the Horde and that is canon, no matter how much they want to change it.

It was already a slap in the face that the Alliance got the most popular Horde race as it is and now they want even more.

“Give them a finger, and they’ll take the whole hand” That is what those people remind me of.

The Void Elf compromise was good as it is but some people will never be happy.
