#Quel’dorei2025 💙

It’s headcanon. Probably rooted in the notion that because the Blood Elves were exposed to fel energy they are less ‘pure’ even though that was only for a few years (and both groups feed from the same Sunwell, so both are de facto Light Elves).

Also the Blood Elves threw their lot in with the Horde, so those hoping for a more traditional fantasy setup want to delegitimise the actual High Elves to justify their own case.

Strange how according to you Helfers only care about Blood Elves when in fact people asked for High Elves since 2004 - which, as a reminder, was three years before Blood Elves joined the ugly, monstrous side as their welfare system.

I have played since classic. Yes, High Elves were asked for even back then. But then Blood Elves became a thing and here we are 20 years later.

And here we are, 20 years later, as you are trying to rewrite history and reframe Helfers as people who just want Belves, when in fact they’ve existed since before Belves were even in the game.

It was the biggest mistake to go to the orcs. That’s why the blood elves are traitors

If the Sin’dorei are “traitors” for joining the Horde, then by the same logic the “Quel’dorei” who remained in the Alliance are “deserters” for turning their backs on their homeland.

Funny how perspective changes the label, doesn’t it?

Yes. One side will call the other “traitor” and “deserter” and the truth is lost amidst the never-ending cycle of discord. Warcraft used to be a nuanced, multi-shaded world, with shifting perspectives and warped mindsets, much like in real life.

Correct. There is a scientific term for this phenomenon, “good world-building.”

Hmm I hope in the Windrunner spire dungeon, that it give a Sylvanas High elf lookalike armor, hood, bow and quiver that we saw her have in the cinematics with Uther in Shadowlands.

Even with access to Blood Elves, the High Elf community would still cry that their Tooltip says Blood Elf instead of High Elf.

Again, this is absolutist headcanon.

King Anasterian Sunstrider led the Kingdom of Quel’Thalas out of the Alliance at the conclusion of the Second War. The last to join, and the first to leave in fact.

When what was left of the Kingdom aligned with Garithos, he betrayed them and the lawful sovereign of Quel’Thalas at that time, Kael’thas Sunstrider, led his people and Kingdom away from the Alliance permanently.

Those elves from Silvermoon that prioritised their relationship with Humans over their own people are the traitors in this case. That’s what you call someone who betrays their people for a foreign government.

Yet because of absolutist headcanon, you argue the contrary even when it doesn’t make any sense. So yet again, the issue here is that the game world and lore does not align with how you want it to be.

You do just want Blood Elves with an adjective change. A Blood Elf IS a High Elf. Absolutely identical in fact. The differences are the head canon you have created yourself to justify your desire and create a false defense against the obvious problem with your request; that the race you want is already available just not on the faction you want it.

Whilst I will happily admit that a Void Elf is not a High Elf and have made an argument to that effect, it’s close enough.

Really?

Stop writing your gibberish :woman_facepalming:t3:
Go study the history of Azeroth

All your arguments boil down to “blah-blah-blah”. You’re like a little boy who’s afraid someone will take his bottle of milk away :grimacing:

So I understand some of you are fanatic about the above average elves. but can you tell me why you find the rig animations compelling at all? I mean:
 the way the male rig holds a two-handed sword, axe and hammer.
the channel spell animation when they stand on their tippy toes?
overly dramatic death animation :skull:

They are just bad, like female night elf rig bounching school girl bad.

The only good male blood elf rig animation is the laugh.

I know they are pretty but how can you even stand to play with such awful animations on display?

/laugh :tipping_hand_woman:t3:

The differences are factually their divergent history.

But thanks for proving once again Anti-Helfers are room temperature IQ. Not that there were any doubts mind you.

Yeah, you got us there, the Blood Elf attack animations are cartoonishly bad.

But the architecture, the zones, and the aesthetic of everything else is really good. Hell, I’m willing to say that maybe Telogrus Rift should be expanded into a more full fledged capital

I was recently made aware that if you want to be really specifik about differences and divergent history
then the real quel’dorei are as matter of fact already playable and still horde

because the Nightborn are Highborn, they have changed because of the nightwell sure, but many of them used to be actual highborn or high elves as they were also called.

The Silver covenant and blood elf varient is actually a greater divergent from the high elves they used to be.

So if you really wanna play the actual high elves, either roll a night elf mage or a nightborn.

Funny how I never made that connection until now.

What divergent history?

It’s a tiny group of exiles who left a few decades in a species who measure lifetimes in millenia.

And grow up please regarding the insults, this is the kind of petty naval gazing that give nerds a bad name.

Strange, I don’t recall the Nightborne ever existing before Legion, while I do recall the High Elves helping the Alliance in Vanilla.
