You want to force other players to acknowledge you as a High Elf OBJECTIVELY rather than being content with the SUBJECTIVE option to look like one and roleplay as one.
I am sorry, but no. You are playing a Void Elf, which is biologically distinct from a High Elf.
I don’t mind if you want to tell yourself that you are a High Elf, but even your avatar here is telling me you are a level 80 Void Elf Priest. Which means in combat you proc a void form, speak with a reverb and literally bleed purple.
That’s a fallacy of course in that it implies you are missing out on something.
Are Void Elves High Elves? No, of course not, there are differences.
Does this justify the ask for a Horde race in a world where you can group with your Alliance friends as a Blood Elf OR be 95% of what you want on a Void Elf? Again no, of course not.
You know what I think justifies the ask for a “Horde” race?
Ignoring the fact that the Blood Elves were originally an alliance race (Kael’thas was the protagonist of the Human campaign in TFT, the TBC announcement trailer referred to them as "once staunch members of the Alliance), the Horde has access to “Alliance style races” like the Nightborne (close relatives of Night Elves), Earthen (forerunners of the Dwarves)
Also, forgive me, I’m a perfectionist. 95% is good, but 100% is perfect, and from a company that prides itself on quality, I expect perfection.
Do Yourself a favour and play this campaign to the end, You might get surprised where it leads Kael’Thas and how his alliance with the Humans end! Seriously, the game’s worth playing
The answer to that particular complaint lies in the words ‘originally’ and the phrase ‘once staunch’.
Nightborne are the Horde equivalent of Void Elves, a strong variation on an Alliance race that is distinct enough to be added but clearly not a duplicate of Night Elves (being urban, Arcane using city dwellers rather than Wood Elves).
Earthen are also not fleshy Dwarves of either stripe but rock people, though personally I regard them as a lazy reskin, they still qualify as Allied race material.
Your insistence on 100% is of course the problem. What is left to haggle over is now so miniscule that nobody beyond those who already agree with you think adding Alliance High Elves is a good use of a slot. You can approximate it with a Void Elf, or play a Blood Elf who cannot go into Alliance cities.
Well I would say the likeliest time for them to be added, if at all, will be an expansion which returns us to the Elven homeland of Quel’thalas, maybe updates Silvermoon city and the surrounding zones, an expansion that has a HUGE emphasis on the Blood Elves and all thing Elven.
I would heavily recommending advocating for such an expansion and IF (a big IF I grant you, there are so many other themes they can go with) they decide to do such an expansion, I would keenly watch the Features Trailer. That usually accompanies the Cinematic these days and lists the big tentpole features for an upcoming expansion.
I say this because if they are ever going to add Alliance High Elves, by far the most likely opportunity for them to do so will be in such an expansion. I mean if they went to the bother of going back to Quel’Thalas for an entire expansion and Alliance High Elves weren’t added, if for example they added literally else such as…oh let’s say Warcraft’s version of the Na’vi from Avatar…then that would probably mean something, wouldn’t you agree?
Rich coming from you. How’s the hunt for a RL partner going?? Put as much effort into that (yes i do remember that thread) as you do in this one,and you will be happy
I’m not a supporter of adding High Elves as proposed by OP, but man - even I recognize that using such arguments as problems with RL relationships in this discussion is a low blow. Even if OP did share some of their problems on this forum before. Let’s not do such things
You already got them. You’re even playing as one. At this rate, it’ll be a lot more better to ask for more unique customizations to the Void Elves than request for a third elf race that will serve no purpose or hasn’t got anything more unique than the Void Elves or the Blood Elves.
Haters of High Elves are very nasty people, I have seen this proven once again.
They bully, humiliate, and engage in slander.
I don’t understand why there is so much toxicity in threads about High Elves. We just want to play as the beautiful race race for the Alliance.
Well you did make it hard for yourself by saying you only wanted young rich and handsome guys to add you to real.id then ghosted people who only wanted friendship and you would instantly ditch them on discord as well and to make matters worse you did it in EU and US threads
Its because people are bored with never ending spam and threads when there already a mega topic about it.
Not only that, she also did attack other players on the US Forums as well, and even went as far as racism when attacking someone though the colour of their skin.
Thing is, like, I think we’re all just sick of the personal attacks from everyone and towards everyone, whether support Alliance High Elves or not.
They are suspended from the NA Forums, as for how long, that isn’t something I can confirm. But I hope after that action, they would learn from what not to do next time.
This is exactly who blizzard caters their game to, the loud minority it’s pretty tiring the only way to try to combat it is by countering said loud minority but most people understandably cba with.
