Quel'Thalas/Azjol-Nerub population

Hey there,

Kind of a weird question, but I’m kind of new to this connected realm stuff.

Until recently I used to play on high pop servers such as Silvermoon and Draenor (before that I played in Argent Dawn) but someone I’ve met online and wanted to play together with is located in the Quel’Thalas server.

Now my question is: How is the population there?

Because if I have to believe realmpop, there seems to be less than half in comparison to the most active servers, so doesn’t the realm feel kinda dead/empty when you walk around (more so than let’s say Silvermoon)?

I like to team up with someone else but the fear of ending up in an empty/inactive realm is still there.

I like to see others around, it’s what makes this game feel alive to me. :slight_smile:

create a party with them and if you’re on the same faction then you’ll be sharded together.

i.e youll be able to quest, do dungeons and roam the world together even if your not on connected realms. the only thing you won be able to do is trade items as this is restricted to the same realm.

Yeah, that’s going to be a whole different experience.

Low-pop realms had their benefits before CRZ, but those days are long over.

Can you persuade them to roll somewhere else?

Alliance and Horde side is very balanced in Azjol-Nerub and shifts towards the Alliance with the inclusion of Quel-Thalas.

As far as raiding goes, the Alliance has 6 guilds which have killed more than 1 boss in mythic and the Horde has 2. The highest each side has is 2 guilds being at 6/9 on Alliance side and 2 guilds being 3/9 in Horde side. (soon to be 4/9 since we had some good Opulence tries last night)

Plenty of heroic guilds below that level.

Population is overall healthy enough, AH always has things you want in stock. Prices can be a bit higher than say, Kazzak or Draenor but this also means that you can make more money instead of just spending.

Over my days in the game I’ve been to Kazzak, Twisting Nether, Arathor, Alonsus, Bloodhoof and Genjuros. I’d say that Quel-Thalas/Azjol-Nerub is currently healthy enough for an overall enjoyable experience.

P.S. Realm only matters as far as mythic raiding goes due to the 100 first guilds restriction, so if you won’t be taking part in such content, you can do everything with your friends from any other realm.
