Quest (Field Sampling: Tanaris= Bugged or Stupid?

So yeah, quest in Tanaris that wants you to same animal parts,

8 x Hyena Samples
8 x Basalisk Samples
8 x Scorpion Samples

… Each of which can fail as you identify each one, RNG is a bit silly since it took over 30 minutes just to get my last 2/3. On the last one I looted one I didn’t need, bags were full so I wanted to delete it from my bag to accept the other, deleting it removed the quest from my log.

Not only that, but I have to now travel to Undercity to buy a new testing kit.

Yeah that is an unfortunate, idiotic mechanic that seems to have been in WoW for a lot of time. I don’t remember it being in vanilla, but I did encounter it in Cata. This issue has been discussed on these forums before.

You do get a warning message saying if you delete quest items, you’ll automatically abandon the related quest…
