Hi! I just noticed I missed horde recruitment fair. But it brought a question to my mind. How do you find rp guild on horde side?
I always liked horde more than alliance. (especially trolls. Trolls are best race in the game. Fight me.). But the barrier to entry seems so high compared to alliance side. I get that most RP happens in the guilds. Which is great.
But I personally do not like ooc approaches and going to external websites to search for RP guild. Mainly because in the past I had an experience that people purposely kept me from…weirder parts of the guild until I joined and spent more time with them.
How would you go about finding an RP guild if you have no connections on horde? And would prefer to recruitment to happen ic and probably not after 3 minute conversation?
Hi Danmer!
I would start by asking myself, what kind of concept in the Horde do you like the most. Do you want general military rp, rp-pvp, hanging with guildies, which race etc.
Once you got that covered, search both in the forums and in the game where might you find these communities gathered. Then go to those areas with the character you want to join with or an alt, see how the RP is. If you like it, apply to join them, and if not, keep looking.
I’ve only had a brief encounter with the Grimtusk Offensive, but they have plenty of trolls and run with what seems to me a very cool warband concept, similar to Bloodsong. I would probably check both of those. From the first encounters I have had with them, they seem like solid RPers.
It looks like these guys are in the Hinterlands if it’s Troll rp or guild you’re looking for
And there’s
Painted Shields
Keep an eye out when they are online and go and hang around in the area that they’re currently camping in?
I think there is also a Troll discord you could join to find out when there’s community events on.
In terms of random role-play or walk up role-play, it doesn’t really happen unless in a neutral environment on Horde.
Thanks for responses. Will see what I can do with the advice.
And yeah lack of random/walk up rp is probably my biggest obstacle in settling on horde side. But I do recognize that it is my issue I need to either solve or find some other way to deal with
Hey there Danmer, you might have missed the Fireside Recruitment Faire yesterday but every Sunday there is a Weekly Horde Gathering somewhere. Tonight it’s been held at the Crossroads and starts around about 8 ST.
I’d always say to check out various Horde guild forum posts to have a look at whose about and what might be the ideal kind of guild you’d like to join even if you want to be recruited ICly
Hello, I have just seen we got tagged so just wanted to say if you wish to come for any troll RP, please check out our post and if you wish, contact me however you wish to! We’re in the Arathi Highlands right now, good place to hit us up.
And thank you Akule for the tag and recommendation o7
I think, ironically, one of the best ways to get Horde-side RP is going to neutral events. There are usually Horde appearing there and it is a good way to meet the people and guilds of the Horde.
There is also usually a social on Sundays, and on most days there is some walk-up rp happening in the Valley of Honour. You’re best looking for dedicated events, they tend to condense a lot of the Horde rp, and many of the guilds will be coming as groups that you can interact with!
Out of Horde social events, I can also recommend Fireside Gatherings. They happen 1st Saturday of every month in Orgrimmar (Valley of Wisdom) and there are always plenty of people there.
The mentioned recruitment faire was a part of December one, but I’d say that Fireside Gatherings are good way to find guild or Horde people to play with, even if it isn’t recruitment faire specially
Because we now have a forum post, here you go:
We have weekly polls on where the weekly gathering is to be held each Sunday. Along with guild ads from various different guilds that are represented in the server. We also have Conquest Clash planned for the new year as well ^^
