Signed up to LFR as my preservation Evoker and ive been waiting 38 mins and counting for it to pop. PVP queue times at 20 mins. Its becoming more obvious id be better spending my time playing another game. Its woeful!
Id also love to have a crack at the elite set for DK in solo shuffle but again, im doing more waiting that playing its soul destroying.
Only solution is making the game free to play, rewert it to one time payment and there will be mass amount of people queueing. Blizzard made enough money from wow, time to change. Coppy pasting old content and selling it monthly on 2023 not working. I q for battleground it is more than 10 minutes, q for raids forever, and q for m+ forever.
Because the LFR gear is just marginally better if better at all than a simple adventurer gear fully upgraded and thats enough to do normal
Except Sarkareth for the slim chance of the dragon costuzmization or a baby-beacon, there is nothing in LFR that 'worth" to queue up
Contrary to popular belief, casual WoW PvP is dead like the dodo, if you are serious, you have your guild and team
I don’t know, for me, M+ and raiding is fun because it’s the last part of WoW where you actually play with other humans. I dislike playing alone or with bots.
Also, I think LFR is dead now because the hourly time rifts give decent good catch-up gear for hardly any effort, and you can even convert that gear to tier for the transmogs. I used to do LFR only for the transmogs and now there’s absolutely no reason for me to do it anymore.
I fully understand OP, regarding LFR. But it is, what it is
After finishing my last LFR from the 3 wings of vault of the Incarnates, yesterday, I’ve noticed I had spent around 3 hours to do everything on my BE 1st Paladin and I play her as a Healer/DPS, with the option of tanking if we need replacements.
I have 25 level 70 characters, I wanted to run Vault of the Incarnates LFR, with. But the waiting times is seriously taking a toe on the number of LFRs I can run.
I like LFR because, I skipped SL for 2 years and I missed it.
Edit: Whenever I’m on a character that doesn’t have a Tank spec, I feel extremely limited
Yeah after a few “interesting” runs at Sarkareth where I was wondering if he had an enrage timer i’ve decided i’d rather farm it when we can solo it in a few expansions time
I think this game has a lot of old school players, it’s hard to convince lots of the younger generations to play for long… the game is a huge chore for them.
I think they need to consider more AI nps for some of the content - optional not forced.
See people say this, til they reliese pay 2 win features will enter and f2p players prolly wont be able to queue this content without a optional sub payment made.
F2p dont exist, its more like pay 40x the cost for half the content production.
And subs not working in 2023? Funny that the 2 largest mmorpgs on the market are both 20 years pld and the last of the sub to play eh?.
Rift? Failed
Wildstar? Failed
Blade and soul? Failed.
Archage? Failed.
Gw2/ESO? Did better, but nothing compared to wow/ffxiv.
Tera? Failed.
Please point me to some evidence that f2p mmorpgs have seen larger success here? Becsuse they really havent lol, sub based mmorpgs have dominated the market of mmorpgs for decades now.
F2p has never seen success, in the mmorpg market on a large scale, because it just doesnt work.
Mmorpgs demands too much dev time, to be supported by a fluxuating income, it dont work, because generally companies have to strip their dev teams to absolute bare bones to ensure profit rolls in.
Which generally means content gets cut often, patches get smaller, with such the playerbase shrinks due to a lack of content and budgets shrink with that, which eventually ends up as about a content drop once a year, a expansion every 2 years that sells 1 small island of additional quests and a new class to sell on microtransaction.
How many times does a mmorpg need to flop before people understand f2p and mmorpg dont work.
Ive played gw2, ive played eso, and quite litterallyz ive played launch night on expansions for both, and quite litterally ran out of content after day 1 lol.
In a perfect world life would be free. Everything would be free, we would get triple A standard without a monthly sub. But in reality you dont. U think your gonna get the same game on f2p, and p2w options wont exist and it will be fair but news flash, nothing sold is “consumer first. Profit second”. Business is built on tje concept of making u pay.
Because litterally, why played queued content? Its among the worst content you can humanly do.
LFR drops are lower then open world drops.
The crests it drops is absolutely useless to even open world gear unless freshly dinging.
Theres 0 reward for the content because its ilevel is so short.
And full of afkers.
Not to mention to stack, since need rolling came in players are needing on gear for transmog. Or for friends lol.
Just do a low m+ it normal raids Its higher rewards. It has personal loot and carries far more weight.
All my real life mates left years ago. I also only have a couple of conquest items and crafted items on my dk so I’m away off a full set. Realistically unless I farm solo shuffle no real guilds going to take me over a full geared char. I hate that elite sets are time limited as well. I just decided out of frustration to cancel my sub for a few months. I’ll likely be back but I’m just fed up with the game just now. I wish I could find an active pvp guide but I find the social aspect of this game died a while ago.
Something like this: I personally don’t do endgame besides LFR (I don’t have the time to dedicate to be in a guild, I wish I could) and LFR is good to add missing pieces from the rifts like rings, neck, anything really. As a casual pleb myself I’m there for the experience to be honest and I personally don’t mind waiting.
Funny enough, I waited as a tank on my DH for longer than on my monk as a DPS but it is what it is, nobody can force anyone to join or do it. It is convenient to get basic gear, but nothing else.
Please don’t… just look at how they demolished OW with making it f2p with all the micro transaction bs going on. If someone does not want to pay for it, they either farm gold for token or play it for a month to see end game, then unsub. I wouldn’t consider WoW to be a “I’m-bored-whatever-I-play-this” kind of game like Warzone.
Ok then increase montly payment prices and there will be more people with respect to your logic. There is no relationship between payment and game success, you can make f2p mmo wich requires no money for sub features. Advertising brings more money most of the time. They can create new mounts or tmog sets which advertise other companies.
In addition to this, blizzard made enough money out of warcraft, even if they make it free for the next 50 years they would not bankrupt. They can simply keep the game as it is now, and make it free because server prices are lower compared to 2004 and technology on a different level, everything is easier than it was before. You don’t need to hire thousands of people to solve issues nowadays even AI can solve your game’s bugs.
Making it free to play brings new player in, which are most of the times kids who cannot afford to pay monthly for a computer game, and it is required to bring new people because cycle must continue. Old will quit more and more in the following 5 to 10 years because of their responsibilities.
While I agree that every game needs fresh people behind the monitors, kids won’t play WoW, at least not the majority of them. Maybe the nerdy ones who see the world as a Tolkien book and can enjoy fantasy. Kids nowadays need flashy stuff, boom, action, swearing, juicy thiccness, etc, not a slow paced story that should involve the character you play. Just look at what Hollywood does and why people might look out for indie movies/games from smaller developers.
As a former Warchief wisely said: “Time’s changed.” Indeed, it has changed.
Because only a niche of companies would bother advertising to WoW players lol. U arent gonna try send a WoW player a ad for a washing machine because they play WoW
. …2) amount of adblockers and vpns used to dodge said advertising. And
people would quit the moment you tried doing this.
5hey wont do it. Accept it. Theyd make WoW extremely p2w lol it wont happen, accept reality
No it wont. Unless ur counting bots.
F2p audiences are just bots bro. people dont play WoW because its 2 decades old. Its not new its not fashionable it aint hype for the young audiences.
Stop applying weird logic to “possibilities” we botg know what they will do regardless of ur opinons.
And no they havent generated enougu income to keep flooding content.
Also:
Leave it as it is? Why would snyone come to a game that hust announced its death? The moment u stop developing content ur games desd to all audiences lmfao.
