Quiz about your characters backstory

Wew, lets give it a go!

Originally from Southshore. Often went to Lordaeron following travelling merchants and caravans. Loved the feeling of big city.

Age of 36-38 kinda lost the count. Who cares anyway.

Early childhood was ordinary fishmonger boy life. Going on long trips from time to time. Often talking to people of different sorts on the road.

After the fall of Lordaeron and rise of the Scourge, its was hard to get by. Mostly short of coin, got by traveling and stealing what could be stolen. Pick pocketing in big cities was easy for a invisible fishmonger boy. So slowly developed the taste for it, which lead Coupe to his first ship crew experience. Blackwater Raiders they called themselves, where Coupe learned sword fight amd ways of rogue/pirate. Met bunch of other races and got pretty fond of many of them, especially Goblins those dirty brilliant minds that would come up with extraordinary plans to earn living and survival.

No relatioships, nope. Not ready to settle down yet.

To relax? I would say go take a tram and end up in Ironforge get wasted with a random dwarf in Tavern and talk about piss all. Make friends. Dwarves are awesome!

Secret is meant to be kept in secret! Aint sharing with ya lots!

Grinning Reaver of course, got this beautiful beast from a merchant claimed to come back from Alternate Universe, what a lunatic eh?

Usually give me a sword and a dagge and Coupe will be content with it.

Nilzlix the first mate of Blackwater Raiders is the closest to a friend. Still have contact with that sneaky goblin. Get some cargo across the waters.

So thats it. Brief history of Coupe the nameless :stuck_out_tongue:

Where was your character born?
Oneiros, Feralas

How old is your character?
Over 10,000 years old (I don’t have my notes handy for the specific age, she was young when the Sundering occured)

What was their childhood like?
Problematic but fairly boring. Daughter of one of the researchers at Eldre’thalas but not considered Highborne, she was generally considered a nobody until she sought a place amongst the Sisterhood as a Priestess.

What made them choose to be the class they are?
She’d always been interested in the feats of the Druids after the Sundering but society did not allow her a place amongst them until recently. She still has strong faith in Elune and considers her time as a Priestess to have been very important to who she is but now that she has the opportunity to train in the druidic arts, she has chosen to pursue a new life.

Have they ever been in a relationship?
Several, though she prefers not to go into details on them and no longer seeks a relationship.

What do they like to do to relax?
Travel back to the ruins of their home and watch the green flight at work across the lake.

What is one secret about the character that very few people or no one knows about?
She has secrets but nothing I’ve taken the time to detail. As you can imagine, 10,000+ years of character history leaves a lot of vague time… I suppose there’s always the question of what happened to her parents?

What is their favourite mount?
Cherwina doesn’t use a mount as such but she still looks after her retired frostsaber with much fondness.

Weapon of choice?
Her stave. A long gnarled branch, stripped of bark with the head carved in the shape of a dragon. A dull green glow emanates from the head.

Who is their best friend and how did they meet them?
Hmm, Cherwina has many friends but no one she would consider her best friend. Having lost so many throughout her life, she struggles to connect with others outside of necessity and prefers a solitary life. If asked, she would likely pick one of the many members of Rhyme and Punishment off the top of her head as she has found comfort amongst their ranks for much of the past decade.

Frostfire ridge, MU Draenor.

30+

Lost his parents early, and was cursed abd corrupted by Fel.

It’s a long story. He used to be a Peon. Then pursued his past, remembered stuff and trained as an Operative. Later he found his true destiny in Shamanism. Most of these happened in RP.

Not sure. Didn’t consider. You can say no for now.

Pilgrimage to Oshu’gun maybe.

Don’t have any in mind.

Frost wolves definitely.

Axes mostly.
Although may use fist weapons or orcish blades.

Due to his story and what he went through, he doesn’t have that many friends. Not sure if it csk be said that he has a best friend… I need to RP him more to find out.

About IC faith or devotion, maybe.

On the countryside in Gilneas.

In her 30’s.

Moderatly happy. She learned early the amazingness of Gilneas, and it has stuck. Got her first bow when she could barely walk, and has practiced since. When she was about… 10 years old or so the Greymane wall was built, and she ended up being more serious since.

Family tradition. Her mother and father were hunters and fletchers.

Yes. She was married to her childhood sweatheart and had two children when the curse hit. She hasn’t found them since she got back to her senses and Gilneas fell. So considers herself a widow.

Spending time with her animals, laying on her back in the grass and watch the clouds pass by.

Even though she still thinks Gilneas was the most amazing place in the world and nothing can compare to it… She is still happy about exploring other places and learning about new races and new countries, even coming to admire some of them. She’d even go so far as to say it was good for all of her countrymen to come out from beyond the wall! Both to learn from others, and of course, to spread the gilnean culture. But she’d never say this aloud! Especially not around other gilneans.

In the woods she runs in her worgen form on all fours. But in cities and not in battles, she likes her stormsaber that she aquired while living with the nightelves as well as her hippogryph.

A gun. She’s not to picky. As long as it’s effective and it kills her enimies or prey, she’s happy. She does prefer the traditional looking guns though. Never been much for bows.

Ruxanne had quite a few friends growing up, but some of them she lost contact with. In the end they ended up being four friends that stuck together as they grew up, Ruxanne and another girl and two boys. Once in their teens they ended up falling in love with each other, and they all went through some drama until it settled down. Once married as two couples, they lived next to each other. But they all disappeared when the curse hit. Sometimes Ruxanne thinks she has found traces of them, but so far nothing.

Quite young as trolls go.

Conflicted. Zulrick was only happy when he was with his mother helping her or out in nature. His father just taunted him for his temperament saying he wasn’t a real troll and couldn’t be a son of his.

His mother sent him away for his own good, and thought the druids could help him the best, which proved to be true.

No, Zulrick would want to but he is far to shy.

Fly up a high tree in the woods and just listen to nature.

His fascnation for bloodelves, especially the male ones. He does try to hid this though, thinking it is not OK.

He prefers to run himself in whatever form fits his fancy that day.

He did have a childhood friend, one, that understood him and didn’t tease him. They were really close, but he was killed by the Allience. Now Zulrick sees his cenarion hatchling, who he saved from dying, to be his only friend.

Zin’Azshari

She was of adult age when the barrier went up, but after that - time held little meaning. She doesn’t truly know nor remember.

It was hard as her Mother expected her to become a well versed Arcanist of Zin’Azshari. Serving Elune was what she wanted to do and only her Father supported her with that choice.

She did find love with a Male Kaldorei Temple Guard before the Sundering. Once the ancient war broke out, Lei had no idea what happened to him or if he even survived.
After that, she never found true love.

Relax and stroll along the Nighthold’s Terrace, overlooking the former Grand Temple of Elune.
She hopes that work can soon start to mend and repair the Temple.

She had a son in Zin’Azshari, but after her Mother deemed her unworthy of the “Vanestri” family line, due to her becoming a Priestess instead of an Arcanist, she claimed the child.
It broke Lei’liah’s heart and the memory is still painful. She rarely discusses that instance with anybody.

Her Runesaber, Runa.

She doesn’t like wielding weapons. She used to wield a bow and a small Elven mace when she was a Priestess, but she’s a Scholar now.
She tends to wield her ancient magic to destroy enemies and heal allies.

She doesn’t consider anyone her “best friend.” Her old lover would have been considered that, but his fate is unknown.

A lifetime of wonder, excitement, Magic, playing and studies.

Where was your character born?
Victor was born in Westfall in one of those all too common, lonely farms.
How old is your character?
Victor is forty-nine.
What was their childhood like?
Victor had a ‘decent’ childhood, in the sense that he never lacked a roof over his head or a laddle of Westfall stew. His parents, however, could not spare time or attention with pointless sentiments like ‘love’.
This didn’t make Victor unhappy, as he didn’t know anything else for his entire upbringing. However, unbeknownst to him, the lack of emotional nourishment left him crippled emotionally.
What made them choose to be the class they are?
Victor’s life in the farm endowed him with a strong and resilient body, good material to be shaped by the Stormwind Army. Victor, however, wanted freedom. This led him toward bounties and similar jobs to sustain himself, which over time allowed him to develop a symbiotic relationship with the Alliance by serving their interests as a rogue.

For a fee, of course.
Have they ever been in a relationship?
No. Victor has had contact with the opposite sex on a few occasions, but he seems incapable of caring to the point where he would (in his mind) hold himself back with sentiment and commitment.
What do they like to do to relax?
Victor is a fan of alcohol’s numbing properties. He’s also known to enjoy a cigarette in the city.
What is one secret about the character that very few people or no one knows about?
Victor has a small garden in his home, where he tends to numerous plants with diverse origins - and therefore different needs. Victor sinks most of his income in equipment to sustain and care for his garden, although he doesn’t understand what drives him to do so.
What is their favourite mount?
Victor’s pragmatism and overall personality render him uncaring for mounts. While he will tend to them when he buys or rents one, he only does it for the same reason one sharpens one’s sword or cleans one’s armor.
Weapon of choice?
Victor prefers a specific style of longsword, one with a curved point to facilitate the tearing of flesh and puncturing through armor. He has the blueprints for it, so that he can have a replacement made when he breaks or misplaces it.
Who is their best friend and how did they meet them?
Victor probably considers his garden to be his “best friend”, as the plants therein are the only living things the Rogue seems to harbor feelings for.

Where was your character born?
Meromel was born in Gnomeregan, though did not spend much of her life there.

How old is your character?
Meromel is thirty-nine (young in Gnome-age), forty in December.

What was their childhood like?
Meromel had a nice childhood mainly spent in the City of Dalaran, entering the school of arcane magic at a late-year of her childhood. As her parents were battle-mages, they were usually unavailable, leading to Meromel spending her own time with fellow apprentices, magi, or anyone else available. Due to this, she is very self-sustaining and easily befriended.

What made them choose to be the class they are?
With Meromel’s surroundings throughout a larger part of her life mainly being arcane-related or infused with some sort of magic, becoming a mage seemed only natural as she wanted to pursue higher knowledge in a city built by magi.
Understanding the power and potential danger of the arcane powers that she would learn to wield, her training to become a mage also made her have very pacifist-and anti-conflict beliefs.

Have they ever been in a relationship?
No, but she has a preference for burning personalities, mainly from Goblins and Dark-irons.
What do they like to do to relax
Meromel often fancies practicing her conjure-cooking, trying to get her arcane-made treats taste as scrumptious as possible.

What is one secret about the character that very few people or no one knows about?
Although Meromel is often very passive and kind while in public, she often takes out frustrations and regrets from her interactions and actions in long rants while in her lone-time, usually against arcane augmentations of the person they feel dislike against currently.

What is their favourite mount
Although she holds no preference because of backgrounds or experiences with mounts, she prefers riding her black mechanostrider, labelled as “B-4.N.NY”, as it is the one with the most comfortable seat.

Weapon of choice?
Prefers not to wield weapons at all, though carries staves that enhances her powers. If it comes to fighting, magic will be the first solution.

Who is their best friend and how did they meet them?
Meromel has several friends, but no one really at a “best friend” level. She prefers to mix up her connections from time to time.

Where was your character born?
Gnomeregan, which she misses greatly and is still infuriated it hasn’t yet been reclaimed.

How old is your character?
56. A fairly young adult in Gnome years

What was their childhood like?
Mittlesizz spent a good chunk of her life working with her family’s engineering store in Gnomeregan, though she was incredibly bored by this. She wanted excitement 24/7 and ended up taking up thievery and other criminal activities for the thrill of it. She was never caught, and so her criminal past remained a closely guarded secret. After Gnomeregan’s destruction fairly recently, she found herself in the Alliance’s ranks and aspired to become an SI:7 Operative.

What made them choose to be the class they are?
Lust for excitement, she was never really good with engineering compared to her peers. (Though she is still fairly adept, as most gnomes are) She ended up taking up petty crime at first to sate this. But now as an operative for the SI:7 she gets to satisfy her thrillseeking tendencies daily.

Have they ever been in a relationship?
No, she never did want to risk a relationship. Far too caught up in her own life and affairs to do so. Though she always had a thing for the taller races, particularly the humans.

What do they like to do to relax?
Relaxing isn’t an option for this gnome. If you’re not living on the edge 24/7 you’re not living at all.

What is one secret about the character that very few people or no one knows about?
As mentioned before: She used to be a major kleptomaniac. She wouldn’t dare let anybody know this dark side of her past, mostly out of fear of what would happen if they knew. She has a reputation to protect!

What is their favourite mount?
She doesn’t have a personal mount, though she does like horses. They’re simple and easy to train, for her atleast.

Weapon of choice?
Daggers, rapiers, cutlasses, pistols… anything she can get her hands on and use reliably.

Who is their best friend and how did they meet them?
N/A, She’s been a loner her whole life.

Where was your character born?
Sprackle Cogheart is from Gnomeregan (seems to be a trend)

How old is your character?
Cogheart is eighty-nine, between adult and middle-age, yet has a far older facial structure.

What was their childhood like?
What of Cogheart’s childhood that he hasn’t already willfully forgotten usually had him alone, often hiding from others in the shadows. With no one to look up to or consider a mentor, Cogheart’s solace was found in the darker depths of the city, often in the libraries in which no one often went.

What made them choose the class they are?
The loss of Gnomeregan served as a sort of wake-up call for Cogheart. He realized that, though he had over the years amassed powers much unknown to the people in his surroundings, he had used them for nothing else than convenience, never truly pondering on what their power could be. Seeing how the city of Gnomeregan was taken through such ease, he realized that his powers, and certainly others who had found the same salvation as him, could have been protecting the city. Swearing to never make the mistake of not acting again, he started studying his powers to the highest degree he could, shaping up to eventually become the Warlock he is today.

Have they ever been in a relationship?
No, though he has mainly avoided them being aware of the risk that they might figure out that he’s a Warlock in disguise and not a Mage.

What do they do to relax?
Cogheart uses the opportunity of being unknown to the general public eye by concealing himself as a mage, allowing him to enter inns, libraries and other places where he usually would have been barred. Like such, he fancies spending nights at the blue recluse.

What is one secret about the character that few know about?
As said before, Cogheart’s hidden identity as a Warlock. He has kept this hidden out of the suspicion that if people got to know who he truly was, he would be thrown out of the society he aims to protect, although through questionable means.

What is their favourite mount?
He prefers travelling on his own two feet.

Weapon of choice?
Demons, as it is the magic school of Demonology that has always intrigued him the most. Personally, his casts are usually not of direct harm and instead are often spells that induce horror or weakness onto his enemies.

Who is their best friend and how did they meet them?
One of Cogheart’s very few non-demonic allies is Flinks Compactclutch, a warlock who holds a lot of the same beliefs and practices as him. Unlike Cogheart though, Flinks is a lot more carefree and “trigger-happy” with her powers, ending up with them often being two very different voices of reason during rituals, summonings or missions.
They met during what was to be the first ritual performed for both of them that required a joint-effort. Seeing as how they pulled through and completed the ritual with little-to-no flaws, they decided to keep each other around.

Where was your character born?
The lower class part of Silvermoon City.

How old is your character?
Older, his exact age isn’t very well known, but his mannerisms and physical appearance make him seem much older than your average blood elf.

What was their childhood like?
Just barely scraping by, being of the poor of Silvermoon. His father and mother worked hard to bring him up well. An encounter with a Human Priest led him towards a life following the light, which he strictly abided. Though he always had doubts about it.

What made them choose to be the class they are?
The scourge invasion of Silvermoon. It was after this he swore his life and soul to the Illidari and more importantly; Illidan.

Have they ever been in a relationship?
No.

What do they like to do to relax?
It used to be reading… without eyes its a bit more difficult to do that, now.

What is one secret about the character that very few people or no one knows about?
Nothing. He doesn’t really try to hide anything.

What is their favourite mount?
An armored felbat. It has no name but it submit to him satisfactorily enough.

Weapon of choice?
Twin demonfire blades. Most demon hunters utilize warglaives, Mannimaril found them clunky. Instead he uses swords that quite literally shoot fire from the hilt, forming a bladed appearance.

Who is their best friend and how did they meet them?
N/A, he lived a mostly secluded life even before his transformation.

Important information:
Mannimaril Furyheart is a Demon Hunter priest. He worships Illidan as a god in mortal form. Forming a small sect of the Illidari called the “Cult of Illidan”. He is cruel, xenophobic, and just plain hateful. If you aren’t Illidari, he’ll rarely be kind. And even then you better be a part of his cult to garner some sort of respect.

Superstition and misinterpreted wisdom has led to the fact that the only person he follows is Illidan. And since he’s gone… he’s rather unpredictable.

On Draenor (MU), not in a specific village.

Old, somewhere around 60’s.

Horrible, like any other orc’s life without a clan. Being clanless ain’t no cool.

ICly Hurr is more of a brawler. He has “developed” his own fighting style, which is quite… exotic. You can’t expect much from someone who comes up with bright ideas while being drunk… Or can you…?

Yes, Hurr found himself a very hot orc lady - until she left him due to excessive drinking.

Drink and brawl, of course! :fist:

There was one time when Hurr cried like a bi-- oooohohohoo~ Nice try, Teknetia. Nice try.

A wolf.

An axe.

…Does beer count?
