Lil homie, the addon isn’t the problem, it’s just a symptom of the disease which is…

… to be invited to heroic raids you need to have mythic gear.

Make sense? ( not what is required to be invited but the point I’m making)

Well, actually, Raider does not merely provide you with one overall score, but also a score for each dungeon and an overview of each run, each season for each dungeon. So yeah, your complaint is based on ignorance.

Actually, my complaint is still based on the fact that a third party should not dictate the difficulty of getting into groups of a game that they have no authority over and that I pay a monthly fee for.

Well then: The third party addon or site does not dictate anything. They provide information about a player that others may or may not use when deciding whether or not to play with you. And it does certainly provide the information to prove if you are competent in one of or a selection of dungeons, even if you have an overall score suffering from your unwillingness to play another one or more of the relevant dungeons.

The calculate their own score based on Blizzard’s information. RaiderIO have nothing to do with Blizzard. They have no rights over the game. They have no rights to be influencing players.

While the OP’s post is obviously a troll, you fail to understand that if it wasn’t raider io it would be something else.
at +15 people would start checking logs…which the API does so that’s a blizzard feature.

The score is worthless no doubt about it in terms of what it actually is, it doesn’t say what affixes you can manage and so on.

raider io is a system which arbitrarily gives an individual score to group content.
It’s not ideal but it’s what’s there.

The addon works off the API from Blizzard, it is literally just arranging that data into a format people can see and translates it into a score.

It has no influence, it purely reflects what you have done.

Groups are not obliged to take you, if you are a dps you will be one of many applying.

How you can do only 10k on a 412 Rogue??

I am feral druid (one of the worst classes out there nowadays) and i am 409 equipped, and i am doing like 19-20k stable lol
