Let’s be honest BFD isn’t even hard to beat unless the tanks or healer never did a single raid before. Still it is extremely hard to get even one slot as a casual. Sweaties took over, they obsess over gear and item levels and have class restrictions, which is basically 2 warrior tanks, priest heal and feral dpses.
I resubbed since this was advertised as casual friendly, but it is the same nolifer experience as vanilla was back in the day, even though it shouldn’t be, since the difficulty isn’t there.
I don’t understand why someone who just wants to raid log play SOD. The game is probably not for you. And it’s definitely for casual players. I’m a casual player and I’m having a blast.
What do you mean no forum/discord? You have Classic WoW discord, server discords are up already too just like google it - they have guild recruitment section.
I joined one big guild like yesterday, they do daily BFD runs. Went to server discord, found guild that matched what I needed and joined.
Are there going to be sweatlords max buffs omega gear to oneshot bosses under a minute? Yes. But most are just chill and do stuff for now.
IDK for me is vanilla/SOD just huge playground. I can’t imagine to play it only because of the raid (but love them and dungeons too), but I love wpvp too. For example tomorrow we will do adventure to Ali territory. Kill some elites, gather some vein/herb, kill many allies. We will see where we will end. Just an adventure with friends. When I am logged in idk what to do first actually.
Its a 10 man raid. Its nothing to do with being sweaty. And my brother got into one pretty fast without BiS set up, althougu granted you do have to atleast be fairly well geared.
This is pugs full stop. If your gonna raid in pug enviroments you have to accept barriers are higher due to results being less reliable
Bot epidemic is certainly not a problem created by players.
Yes, the initial disease is caused by players, but it became epidemic because Blizzard can’t figure out how to deal with it for 20 years now, which is pathetic really.
And frankly nonsense like them adding token in WoTLK as, supposedly, a measure against bots is just telling me they aren’t going to be fixing this another 20 years.
I spent all night yesterdy wiping in bfd as a resto shaman because we didnt have a priest. We got Kel to 1000 damage on our best try, we have lk clear in wrath on hc but cant kill this boss without a priest and you wonder why priest is wanted, ok.
Blizzard being unable to properly prevent this from continuing is indeed pathetic, but the main issue is still the players that actively participate in RMT, which i think is what most of the bots are working towards.
Botting can be found in any version of wow (although i dont know about retail). If there wasnt such a huge demand for RMT, there would not be as many bots as there are now.
Well, no matter how you slice it, bots are there to stay.
