Raiding on the classic era servers

So when people advocated these servers and said that there were some raiding guilds, I had no idea what could be wrong.

The problem is that there are two raiding guilds in each cluster. This means that 90% in them are naxx geared. As a fresh 60 you enter that guild and it becomes a charity enterprise - you clear any raid in under an hour and get free epics.

How come the alts are not making new guilds? Is this the definition of fun that classic lovers have? Just get all buffs and consumables and raid mc and bwl with naxx gear?

You don’t say what server you are playing, but can say there are at least 3 raiding guilds on the PvE cluster alliance side, of which 1-2 guilds are still doing progression runs.

Sometimes i use p1 pre bis on naxx with wbuffs, not everyome have the same definition of fun.

the gaming experience clearning MC and BWL over and over again isn’t much different no matter the gear, just with gear it gets a bit faster

It depends.

My guild was founded 2-3 months ago and we have progressed AQ together and are looking into entering Naxx in August, to progress it.

To answer your question, Classic players love the classic game and gameplay. MC/BWL can be fun to parse and speedrun in Naxx gear. It is of course a matter of taste, but I for one like getting sub 1 hour times in both. Other people may not care about this - some love massive playerbases, pet battles, patches, new achievements and mounts… you name it.

What ERA offers though is its pace: no rat race. True, at times it can feel like charity or free epics to you, but the thing is, you can choose when to go for it. When to stop. When to continue. For the first time in wow history, the game offers you flexibility.

In any case, let me know how long does it take you to get BiS AQ/Naxx gear. I am sure there won’t be much charity in those.
