Hello.
I received an email this morning putting my account under a temporary ban for
“Offense: Use of Bots or Third-Party Automation Software”
I have never used any such things, so my first reaction was to create a ticket and hope it gets looked into asap.
Does anyone else have any experience with a ban of this caliber and what you can actually do as a wrongfully targeted person?
I tried to find a phone and/or live chat to connect to Blizzard’s customer support via but they seem to only be open briefly (if at all) during US peak hours.

Same, what is going on, i just woke up and see 7 days ban because of botting??? I suck at using tehnology i wouldnt know how to install bot even if i want, what on earth is going on???

Not being active in AV shouldnt be a bannable offense, as long as you dont use a script

With enough afk reports against you I would welcome a 7 day ban for all afkers in bgs.

It should and is. They’ve given out suspensions for it in the past and have suspended people who only did fishing too.

Got one aswell, appeal has been placed and I’m waiting for their live chat to open at noon.
They have reviewed nothing.
It’s litterally against the EULA:
Harassment, “griefing,” abusive behavior or chat, conduct intended to unreasonably undermine or disrupt the Game experiences of others, deliberate inactivity or disconnecting, and/or any other activity which violates Blizzard’s Code of Conduct or In-Game Policies.
We all have been afk in a BG at some point but the rules use tthe word “unreasonable” for these things. It’s not unreasonable to go to the toilet but it certainly is unreasonable to stand afk over and over in bg after bg no matter if you use a click bot or not.

I reckon this is one of those timing issue bans. If you use the same actions in the same order within milliseconds of each other every single time then this can happen. I have seen external mouse/keyboard macros cause this.
i am banned also, only played 4 games in av this week and remained inactive from 2 of the games and just 5 min because i had to do things irl. I have opened a ticket with no response. What scares me most is that they say they have proof of me using bots when i dont even know how bots work lol, please remain this post updated to check if by chance we get unbanned

Yall probably got triggered by a automatic ban due to people mass reporting you for afk/incativity in AV most likely.
If you don’t have time or interest in playing AV, don’t sign.

I have people I know who’ve been banned for this.
They might have been afk in 1 or 2 AVs to finish cap with last couple hundred honor.
Meanwhile bots are running around totally free in the world.
Hordes who outnumber alliance have instant WSG queues while Alliance have 2-5min queues
Hordes win 99.9% of all AVs
Sort your game out, focus on the real problems. Alliance have been AFKing in AV for years allready. Why do you think alliance was premading it?

100% deserved. “I’ve got some office work to do, might as well afk in AV”. This mentality is disgusting, and takes the absolute mick out of everyone in their, you expect to carry you lol. Should of been 3+ months so they go back down to rank 0.

You decrease 10% every week if you don’t get any kills.
This means in 3months they’d drop 10% * 12= 120
That’s one rank and 20% of the next.
Atleast put in some effort and try to understand the PVP system before you try to make a witty comment.
This just shows that you’ve AFKed enough in AV to get numerous reports from other players. If it was just the one off then you wouldn’t be banned.
Good job Blizzard and apologies if they have gotten it wrong but I highly doubt it as they won’t just instant ban you they will investigate and then take action which can take a while so you must have been doing this for quite a while eh.
