People can also report you for cheating if given enough attempts. This could happen if you upset someone, their friends, a group, etc.
I had friends getting banned from the game for competing with twitch streamers and the reason given of the ban was irrelevant. This game is really flawed with the Report system. No wonder there are bots (boost sellers for money etc) and bullies running around and getting away with it.

Whatever you do don’t submit a ticket as this will most likely be a copy-paste appeal denial. Talk with a live agent instead, it greatly increases your chances.

Nothing. Only other programmes running are other clients such as Steam or GOG Galaxy.
What a weird thing that people are so up-in-arms about him letting his father play on his character every now and then. I know why the rule is there, but it doesn’t justify a 6 month ban.

It’s funny, because account “sharing” is literally why I started playing WoW in the first place. I would probably never have started if I didn’t get to play on someone elses account first.
This was in 2006 though, so not sure there were any trial way of playing back then even, but I don’t know.

Might be worth mentioning that it’s against the forum ToS to discuss bans too (
I know) so this thread may get removed with a few forum vacations given away for the new year 
OP the only thing you can do is speak to a GM, you may have been caught up in a bot ban wave and have the action removed from your account but nothing will be done about it via the forum as the GMs who can help don’t read here and the CMs who do read here can’t help.

I agree, in 90% of cases warnings would be a better action than outright bans but 
I doubt they will listen to us about it so I will intervene anyway and hope I can help fellow posters avoid getting into trouble

Blizzard doesn’t send these kind of Mails. They are always scam to get your account Information.
17 times actually and 18th would be if they decided to action me for the lulz.

How? Do you know what his bans were for? When an argument starts to get heated a simple warning that people need to cool off and walk away could easily prevent bans and for threads like this and naming and shaming just a reminder of the forum ToS can also prevent the ban hammer being needed.
Everyone gets into rows and says things they don’t mean/shouldn’t, I’ve done it myself and don’t think getting silenced was necessary for me or the other person 
but that’s just my opinion and is the same for every poster here even those I regularly disagree with.

My account is suspended.
My appeals say I’m not banned, I’ve no penalties on my account.
My subs page says my account is suspended till 13th Jan 2020.
My login says I’m banned till 1 July 2020.
My email say my subscription renewal went though but I’m banned.
This is confusing, judging by a few people in the customer services and reddit. I’m not the only one.
