They’re easy to spot if you know what to look for. Biggest giveaway we have been trained to look for in any kind of phishing email is any official site that doesn’t begin with http’s’.
Your connection to 'www.Blizzardscammer .com' is secure
That’s really bad advice that’s given out regularly.
Having a certificate doesn’t mean you are a legitimate site it just means you’ve paid for one (probably using stolen details) and the connection between you and the phisher is secure.
They keep track on used IPs. You will not get locked ‘for changing ISP’ every time. And may or may not be now (these days) linked to authenticator or not having one.
I don’t think that is the case. I had this account since vanilla.I lived in 3 different parts of the country since then. I also logged in when I was visiting my parents and at school. Never got my account locked. (apart from the time they made us use our e-mail as a log in name and millions got hacked within a few weeks, early in WotLK). Luckily my T6 gear on my lock couldn’t be disenchanted or sold for money, so I still rocked the DPS on the lowbie dungeons even if I was half naked, as it took Blizz 2 weeks to get my stuff back, and my new main was stripped and useless.
If you have this issue, try logging in, see if it is resolved. Looks like a few accounts may have gotten caught in a sweep, in error.
I do apologize for the inconvenience. If you find yourself still suspended, you are certainly welcome to leave an appeal open for further review. If you currently have a ticket open for an appeal and your license is no longer suspended, you are also free to close that ticket as it was already addressed.
