Oh yes the classic “post on your main” reply … the most powerful move …
It’s the basic test that morons who don’t play the game have to pass in order to be taken seriously.
You’re basically a security guard trying to tell the billion dollar company that they;re wrong at this point.
With bringing ad personam argument u removed urself from the discussion.
Watching the disasters over the years at Activision-Blizzard, yes the security guard was right.
If any of you actually played TBCC right now, you’ understand the biggest issue going into WOTLK isn’t the lack of RDF, it’s the prevalence of paid gold boosting for services.
Right now you’re arguing over what colour the coffin should be instead of trying to stop the bleeding.
You frogot lowpop servers, overpopulated servers, bots, gold buying on scale never seen and so on :).
Well blizz isnt going to ban RMT because it brings them money … but they can keep RDF in the game which #1 was in the game originally #2 can help at least tiny bit with all the problems they caused …
Lowpops are being merged, overpop isn’t a thing (in fact megaservers are a better experience for everything except WPVP). Bots and gold buying exist because of gold boost and GDKP.
RMT Doesn’t bring them money because they’re not selling tokens. If anything the behaviours driving RMT (GDKP, Boosting) are making legit players quit/unsub because it hurts legitimate player progression and costing Blizzard money in the long run. RDF Was added over half way through WOTLK and didn’t solve any problems. Tanks will still not queue unless paid to join a group (“selling tank service 500g, will queue RDF with you!”). DPS will still need to wait an hour for a dungeon.
This discussion has been happening for over a year, you’re coming in with the same
easily disprovable arguments every non-classic player has, then after a week they/you get bored and stop posting and the cycle continues.
Yes and how exactly is removing RDF going to change any of that ?
Aside from nostalgy glasses there is literally no valid argument against removing a feature that was part of wotlk …
Here, happy now ? Grutusk here XD
There will be lowpop servers always even after merges because ppl tend to migrate to megaservers, which are dealing with their own crap, like huge queues (i feel bad for Firemaw players at WOTLK release, there will be days worth of queues there).
I hear about bots and gold buying and experience it since 2019 blizzard did nothing and now they try to make stupid decisions only for the sake of changing stuff.
Then i have no idea why you’re complaining about RDF
Because the buff to heroic loot will absolutely make RMT issues worse.
Becasue for 3 years I experienced this “amazing” wow community and wasted big amount of time on spamming /lfg and being focus on unit frames instead of enjoying the game. I “afked” for hours in Orgrimmar while doing /4 LFG Dps for dungeon X, /4 LFM Tank for dungeon X.
Had to keep my focus on that because the moment “LFM 1 dps for dung X” popped (very rare tough) and u were to slow for 1 second position was filled. So instead of enjoying farming mats or rep i had to keep eye constantly on chat.
If i am to afk in Ogrimmar i rather AFK for real and wait for dung, or go do my farming while the system assembles the party for me. SImple as that.
3 years of classic WoW cured me very effective from nostalgia.
Sounds like you should join a more active guild who are willing to help with that stuff.
Guild helps when they can, but You cant rely fully on guild if they are busy with other activities. They are not at Your command man…be real.
No they’re not - And speaking from experience, GDKP and boost runs take new players who WANT to dungeons and funnel them directly into profit making raids. That makes it much harder to pug.
Iits Blizzards problem they allowed gold buying and bots. This has nothing to do with RDF, dunno why its even an argument.
You will see the poopshow in WOTLK like “LFM Gundrak HC 5000+ GS, Acheivments, Stuff reserved”, mark my words
Yes, we will. And the solution to that is to build a community - usually a guild - and play that way.
RDF will encourage people to avoid community and try to “solo” the mmo content, which will hurt the game overall.
This isn’t speculation, we’re talking about history. We watched it happen the first time around.
Then where is the argument about “wow community” and “how it was back then” if I have to resort to the Guild that existed after RDF ?
This doesnt make sense…becasue I hear all the time RDF killed wow community but You tell me lack of RDF wont help and be in the guild? I dont get it sorry.
I think there is no reason to discuss it anymore between us, I will not persuade You and You will not persuade me. Its waste of keyboard really
new players wont have gold to buy mounts, not even mentioning gdkp runs …
you can still make groups manually even with rdf up and around and lot of people will do that because they want efficient groups … also gdkp raids will exist with or without rdf and you can still manually walk into dungeon, so if you want gdkp for 5mans it will still happen even with rdf around …
So you are at the start again where you want to change wotlk into something it wasnt, for no reason at all …
I’m not trying to persuade you. People mistakenly think this is a discussion - RDF has been categorically a bad addition to WoW - we’ve watched it happen for 10 years.
If you want to have it in the game, argue why it should be. Because “It was there before #NoChanges” isn’t going to change anything.
It’s being excluded for good reasons, so if you want to have it, then try and convince people why it’s good for the game,
I’m suggesting Blizz Ban GDKP and gold boosting btw - I’m not saying RDF will utilise it.
