Well yeah, people leave all the time in hc Raszageth, which makes the fight even worse because it is hard to find people that stay. Here comes the ‘‘unbalanced’’ argument again about how badly balanced this raid is; people stay for 7/8 bosses and leave on Raszageth, because the fight is too long and the damage is overtuned on HC. One orb of 20-40x going off is like as if Diurna hit ALL players with the tankbuster ability. I have no problem with pugging Raszageth in normal, it is nothing like HC even when players leave after wipes, it is just easier. I do not think the fight is hard, my groups have been doing pretty good and then somebody dies, and another and a healer dies and boom whole raid is dead because all is required to be alive for part 2-3, raid damage is just too high.
frankly, so few people have the heroic kill, people who fail or are bad or have no kills just stay forever and are removed by raid leader for underperforming. People leave on normal because normal Rasza is well, easier
if you want to easy play go play classic, not cry for destroy retail with make it easy
I get normal pug kills on Raszageth pretty quick after a reset but people with a Raszageth kill on normal and 7/8 hc wipe 24/7 on HC by roughly the same mechanics, the only thing that really changes in P1/2 where many struggle is the amount of orbs needing to be kicked. Normal Raszageth is way easier than hc and to prove this I ask you; why do so many 8/8 + 7/8 players wipe on Raszageth hc if both fights are pretty much equal as hard? Diurna HC is also a massive HPS/DPS check but Raszageth is something else on HC.

This one is my biggest pet peeve, personally.
I also play classic and there even harder bosses in Ulduar don’t take as long (aside from Yogg maybe). It truly takes away enjoyment of the fights and I think they feel the need to choke these final bosses with so many mechanics they think they have to drag out the fight.
5-6 min is more than enough!
This is a sweet spot for me. - If it has to be longer in Mythic make it a special mythic only phase (but does it have to be both longer and harder?)
Or they show that Eranog is a very easy first boss. Which it is.
6 minutes is called a Terros. Not a Final Tier Boss.
Also they wont make Mythic only Phases anymore because of lore confusions (WoD being a prime example. The ending cinematic is not canon as Blizzard admitted) so at best you would get something like the Sire Mirror mechanic in P3.
Final boss does not need to be 10 minutes plus on lfr or normal, there is no reason for it… as I said if it needs to be longer at high tiers then so be it.
Its the final boss. You will survive that. If its too hard go a lower difficulty.
Also how would you change that? Remove phases? Then we are at the aforementioned problem. Lower the HP? Then go lower difficulties.

Haha reading this as someone who started in vanilla and played trough first wow, tbc and wotlk making me laugh so hard. We played with 0 addons and I cant count how many wipes. Because of people like this, game is now super easy. I remember farming 1 piece of equipment for more then a month. Now you can gear in 3 days . Doing dungeons with no chating in party because nowdays you just rush trough 40% of dungeon and you cant wipe. I wont say anything more……the game is not hard its easy as f……

And i disagree there. A lot. Its also not always the duration of a fight but the design of it. I take Raszageth over that snoozefest called Sylvanas any time of the day even if they would reduce her kill time to around Ras level.

Just wanna point out however that i will disagree with pretty much everything you said or think you have the wrong impression or mix stuff up.
Im not saying Raids on Mythic are easy Im just talking about whole game and content in the game. Dungeons, Gearing, Leveling, normal raids, hc raids, hc dungeon etc
This thread is about Raz being too hard and part of that is the length of the fight (I was agreeing with another poster about the 5-6 minute limit)
You disagree with is fine,Can I ask why you feel boss fights should be 10 minutes + (the fact they have been before, so should be isn’t a valid reason imho )
The final boss should always distinguish itself from the rest. Its the leader. The big evil. The powerhouse. For instance in this raid beings such as Dathea should just be flies in comparison to Raszageth.
We could argue that fights like Broodkeeper are too long. At least in her current design of you being basically dead inside for the first 4+ minutes if youre in the egg group with her being basically a Target Dummy with legs.
I feel the adds during the intermission have too much health.
One sub par dps and you’re not likely to kill them on time unless your other dps are regularly parsing high purples or higher. You really can’t carry people on this fight in a more casual group.
Just my opinion on it.
