Rate all expantions /10

Haha, we will need to agree to disagree on that, I love Alderaan. It’s one of my favorites, not to mention my imperial story there. <3

TBC: 10/10
WotLK: 9/10
Cataclysm: 6/10
Pandaria: 9/10
Warlords of Draenor: 4/10
Legion: 10/10
BFA: 2/10

God I miss legion so much :sob:

me too. but after that i think about the suramar timegating and it miss me less.

Yet another bad ploy from someone JUST to basically complain about BFA. Now, be honest with me here people, how many of those “ratings” of yours are from the BEGINNING of the expansions?

Because, what you’re all basically doing, is comparing the end product of an expansion, to the start of one. It would be like comparing a finished chair to a stick. Not fully complete yet, but still, might as well eh?

I started mid Cata, so I’ll do it from MoP

MoP - 3/10 Only played for a few months, didn’t enjoy the expansion at the start at all, didn’t come back till WoD came out.
WoD - 8/10 Storylines were great, Highmaul was a really good raid, dungeons were awesome, zones were beautiful, garrisons were fun to begin with.
Legion - 2/10 Grinds were AWFUL, lag was terrible, Artifact weapons were bad, Class halls were “Garrisons 2.0”, leggo drop rate was awful, and if you spent months farming and finally get one, but it was your worst one, then you fell behind massively. Couldn’t play alts at all, had to stay on one class and one spec, otherwise you fell behind. It was just a complete mess at the start. No catch-up mechanics for the Artifact powers. 2 of the zones were just awful to get around. Came back just at the end of 7.1 due to everything bad at the start tearing me down.
BFA - 8/10 Plenty to do, quests were really fun, loved the zones, I enjoy Uldir, dungeons are great, I enjoy the IE’s that I do, some of the WQ’s are fun, the Arathi rares are a fun addition, Warfronts are a little hit and miss (Would have been 9/10 if it wasn’t for this).

TBC - 8/19
WOTLK - 9.5/10
Cataclysm - 7/10
MoP - 9/10
WoD - 5/10
Legion - 7/10
BfA - 1/10

I agree is to early to rate BFA. Just i dont agree about the diff between legion and BFA. the skeleton is almost the same: the grind is the same as in BFA. The situation of alts is worst in BFA (im waitin for the 8.1 relief). Imho.

Heyo o/. I’ve been typing on an alt, since it wouldn’t allow me to log into this -_-. Been annoying xD.

I wouldn’t say the grind was the same in Legion and BFA at the start. The catch-up mechanics helps in that. It’s the same grind though, so it’s almost the same in that sense.
I have to completely disagree with you though with the alts thing. Start of Legion (Before I quit, which I quit just after EN fully came out for LFR), because of the weapon grind, if you wanted to be at the middle/higher end of the playerbase, you HAD to play 1 character and 1 class.
Where as now, in BFA, I’ve got 6 120’s, 5 of which are over 330 ilvl with necks at 22+, 4 of which are at 340 ilvl with necks of 24+. And with the added stuff of 8.1, it’s gonna make alts even better. The only downside to alts right now is the +45 ilvl’s you get on the neck with rep (Which is being changed).

But, these are just my opinions, so they are neither right nor wrong

BC - 8
WoTLK - 9
Missed cata mop and wod
Legion - 7
BFA - 2

I like how some people rate BFA 1/10 and still play the game… Makes sense.

My rating from expansions where I was actively playing.

TBC: 9/10 - TBC did most things well for its time. Cool raids, difficult dungeons, good pvp. Daily quests sucked but atleast they were things you could do.
WotLK: -
Cataclysm: -
Pandaria: -
Warlords of Draenor: 6/10 - Raids were great and also dungeons/CMs. I had fun in pvp too. Lack of content elsewhere.
Legion: 9/10 - Plenty of content throughout. Good raids and dungeons, especially with addition of m+. Great atmosphere. Cool story.
BFA: 7/10 so far. Great dungeons, great first raid, great atmosphere. World quests feel a bit old and Azerite armor isnt the best. Can only get better from here imo. Really excited for the story to come, being a huge old god fan.

Vanilla 10/10
TBC 9/10
Wotlk 9/10
Cataclysm 4/10
MOP 2/10
WOD 8/10 please dont hate me i really liked WOD
Legion i give it 7/10
and BFA atm 1/10.

I actually did at the start of it loved it for the story reminded me of Pirates of the Carribean and i when i was doing Beta on BFA i loved the Horde Zuldazar only part reminded me of Indiana jones but besides th story quest i hated it with a passion i just didnt tell you.Mythic dungeons are too difficult for me and nobody wanted to help me to tell me some guide they all shunned me and furthermore i feel like Community in BFA went to Hell everyone is toxic now and less friendly which made me play different games recently.

try to join the calm m+. maybe bukachu was involved in this. There is a horde side too.

I don’t like the direction the game is going right now, over time they removed tons of little things that made the game unique and fun, from simple items to now secondary professions such as First Aid. Next, they might delete Pandas? That could be nice actually.

Why Vanilla/TBC/WotLK were good ? Simply because balance-wise each class had pros & cons. Each unique capacity. I remember toward the end of WotLK they started the modifications with stuns and other abilities. From there and beyond they added abilities to all classes so everyone could : heal, defend and stun. There are other things but this problem of unification to all classes comes to mind first, because now they’ve lost all identity. Doesn’t matter now if you bring a warrior or rogue to dps something, the result will be more or less the same tbh. Some classes do retain special abilities but overall? Most lost they uniqueness.

TBC: Only played during launch
Wrath: 8/10. I raided a ton, which was fun and actually felt exciting/rewarding.
Cata: Only played during launch
MOP: Only played during launch
WOD: 7/10. Hated the garrison and the anti-social implications of it, but my spec (combat rogue) felt great and saved it for me.
Legion: 7/10. Sub rogue was very fun and felt fluid, loved the mage tower and gearing all my characters for it, and the first few 100 WQs actually felt engaging.
BFA: 2/10. I loved the atmosphere of the quest zones the first time around, but other than that BFA has 0 redeeming qualities.

TBC: 7/10 ( I liked this style as started play wow)
WotLK: 5/10 ( since I don’t play with guild for raids and I don’t like snows)
Cataclysm: 7/10
Mists of Pandaria: 10/10
Warlords of Draenor: 1/10
Legion: 4/10
BFA: 7/10
