For a losing epic bg, I would be not very confident in a statement such as “nowhere near 50%”. Heck, especially even fights have a huge churn of players, “because it takes too long”.
I am convinced that the number of players that just want to smash out an easy win, and flake at the tiniest sign of resistance is HIGHER, than the number of people, who want an epic fight

I agree with you that the percentage of people that flake at the tiniest sign of resistance and leave is distressingly high. But a majority? No way.
You lose 8-12 people right away and many many more single /afk as the match goes on. You have to count them too, you know.
Edit: Just to be clear, I am in no way defending premades. I think all rnd/epic bgs should be cross faction, as this would hinder the queue syncing. Nevertheless, this would not get rid of the quitter mentality.
Well, I’d love to see Blizz’s data on the topic but in the absence of hard numbers we will just have to agree to disagree.
I have my anecdotal evidence on leavers and you have yours and they lead us to believe different things.
I’d be sad to find out that I was wrong though; not because of ego but because of what it would imply about people in general and wow casual pvp-ers in particular

Well, they chose the wrong game because this has always happened and not because of premades, but because of Blizzard’s bad habit of allowing people without gear to enter in BGS or because there is no Ilvl balance.
I completely disagree. The essence of PVP in this game has always been the faction war.
Yeah but surely this averages out. Sometimes it happens to your team, sometimes to the other team. But over all it averages out and so is fair.
Premades, it doesn’t matter if you win with them or lose with them, the game is spoiled either way.
EDIT: as for the cross-faction thing, yeah I don’t disagree with you but if that was the price of fixing the premade problem, I’d take it in a shot. But as I also said, I’d probably be happy with any decent soulution to that problem; I’m not wedded to cross-faction random BGs.
Arena has been intrafaction since TBC and cross faction since SL
RBGs have been intrafaction since Cata and cross faction since SL as well
Random BGs are literally the last niche hold out. And they suffer for it.
In the arenas, faction doesn’t matter. In fact, in the lore itself, Varian fought alongside a blood elf in the Orgrimmar arena.
In arenas and RBG, the only thing that matters is the rating.
But BGS represent the conflict between the Horde and the Alliance.
Since this is an RPG, I like to play with my chosen faction and race against the opposing faction.

Just had this abomination of a player in my BG. 1 person playing the most important role of a BG and single handedly GRIEFING the game for 9 other people.
Yet people wonder why I call for people like this to be banned from the game and why I accuse premade spammers of intentionally abusing a flawed system.
No worries PvP will be saved soon when they ban addons.

We had 3.5m and 9m hp healers. That’s why you only play in premades. It gives you chance to win against players normally you can never win.
Keep begging your battlenet friends so you may find a new healer to carry you to 2.4k in Blitz, like previous one carried you to 2.1k and abandoned you

Shoutout Blitz matchmaking for reminding me after 1 game why this bracket is dogwater.
First game in however long and I get an FC map where my team has a Pres Evoker Sub Rogue duo and the other has double Priest healer no Rogue. Game won in the starting room irrespective of mechanical, objective and individual skill. Really fun.

The only good idea is to limit pvp party queue from 5 to 3 players at one time. This will drastically decrease chances of sync farming groups on same bg.
Why 3?
Because if limit to 2, then there’s no reason to play random bgs and not to play Blitz. Just grab your healer/dps friend.
And 4 still too much for 10 ppl bgs.
Also 3 is good for Epics, there will be much less “oh noes, XXXX premade group, guys, gl hf, im /afk”.
Yesterday when facing premades every minute or so I brought up the BG stats. After a couople of minutes it was 10HK per toon to zero on our side, after 5 minutes it was a 20-1 ratio and zero deaths on the other side and so forth.
Can’t blame players for giving up or leaving.
They will keep crying about 3 man premades, just as they cry about duos.
You’ll see when several premades enter (by chance) the same Bg, which will end up happening because if the groups are smaller, there will be more groups queuing at the same time.
If that happens to us, we need to play rock, scissor & paper, the loser has to type /afk 
Way to much people are crying over a game.
