So what about our names? theres a couple of names including my own that cannot be created there, meanwhile i try to look them up if anyone is playing it and there is no data for it. Will the names get released once the merge happens?..

For the Mirage Raceway mega server, we will soon be opening a poll to vote for a new (or the same if you like!) name for this realm so that it feels unique. Looking back, it seems we didn’t launch a realm during Mists of Pandaria, so this will be a chance to pick the first ever Mists specific realm name. I’ll get back to you after generating a list!

I can tell you exactly what’ll happen with guilds:
Absolutely nothing.
How do I know? I was part of the semi-forced migration (they said they’d close the realm, then backpeddled later) from Nethergarde Keep to Mirage-Raceway in Wrath of the Lich King.

This was probably the worst solution ever, did anyone on EU even ask for this merge? Mirage Raceway is good as it is, decent economy, LFG chat not being spammed with GDKP runs, no firemaw players here. Why not let the two biggest PVP realms; Firemaw and Gehennas be moved to a mega PVP realm instead of forcing them to join a PVE realm?

How about you talk about how names are going to be handled instead as I literally do not have any names on the realm that are usable. Saying “You’re going to free up names” isn’t going to fix anything with all of english realms being moved in to one.
Why not just keep Firemaw and Gehannas as is and move others in to them instead of vice versa? Also saves tons of characters transferring.

Why are we moving huge servers like Firemaw, Geheneas to a tiny server like Mirrage?
Wouldn’t it make sense to move a smaller server to the largest?

Just to be sure but if our wanted name wasnt freed less than an hour ago, it’ll be on the 24 when servers are up from the weekly restart?

What about guilds? Will we get guild transfers? My guild has almost 1k members, lots of achievements, etc. We shouldn’t have to lose that because of this.

Why are we being forced to move to an existing server if it’s being renamed anyway? Why not just make an entirely new server where names will be ffa? This is just silly.
I have names on many characters that I’ve cherished for 5+ years now. On mirage I’m being forced to rename all but 2…

What will happen to all guild achievements/unlocks, bought guild tabs and so on? Big guilds lose a lot. Any plan to reimburse or move guilds over?

How about dont force a server name chance on the players of MR we have been playing on it since 2019!! If you want to make a mega server with a new name. just spin up a NEW mega server and open up transfers to that instead. and then ALL players can make the choice of moving to a mega server or not, including the Mirage Raceway players!
