Please open guild transfer option for this, lots of guilds have been in existance since the launch of classic (like mine) and as a guild we have worked hard together to get some acheivements done, not to mention the bank, perks etc - this will decimate loads of guilds who then have to start all over again

Ironforge indicates that there is literally no horde player on that server, is there really pvp happening outside of the arena/pvp on that server?
That’s not the community’s fault, it’s a domino effect caused by blizzard not enforcing any kind of balance and due to the racial meta getting shifted in TBC. Some people/guilds start leaving creating a chain reaction of people being afraid they’ll lose their friends or guilds not being able to recruit…

I don’t understand, why don’t you just re-flag the pvp servers as pve instead of merging them together? Like you said in the original post you will reflag the servers as PvE so why not just leave it at that?

I am so angry.
Not only has mop launch being right ontop of the 11.2 launch and the start of season 3 of war within Shafted mop and has forced out one of the single worse release schedules I have ever had it was like being overloaded with content. I barely had any time to play mop just because of how toxic the retail gearing system is. With crests that I barely have time to play an alt or even do mop dailies. It has been so hard to play both to the point i’ve barely had time to play toes.
Now I am being told that my community the people i love as a friend is being ripped up from under me and stolen away since I know not everyone i know will stay on the old server and on an already struggling realm not having new people coming in will hurt the small yet lovely community Hydraxian Waterlords had, we defied blizzard when our realm was meant to be shut down the first time but now we don’t have a say. It is truly the end and now I have no reason to play mop classic To me it is not just about the guild it is about the whole server. I will miss the times when people joked on my server that going to Restoration Project was a punishment, or when the lovely players on Hydraxian waterlords got realm first Deathwing on the last day of cata (Cata era servers when) not everyone will stay and not everyone will leave or not everyone will stay. It is truly the dark times for classic.
What makes this WORSE is that in Patch 4.2 the ability for cross realm grouping was added for people on bnet friends list and in 4.3.2 the ability for cross realm raid groups was added. Later in patch 5.0.4 the ability for people in a cross realm party were able to see each other in the open world My point is, we don’t need to merge realms when the tools to let realms exist in the first place already existed in Original mop and cata I do not see why people’s homes away from home deserve to be shattered from them just to force a merger that no one asked for and personally I am quite upset about it.
I am just really sad that this is the way that mop has turned out personally I was quite excited for mop classic but this has taken away the last of my excitement. It’s been real and a great time but unless blizzard does something I guess it’s back to retail.
EDIT: What makes this even sadder to me is that Hydraxian waterlords has a small rp community and they are lovely. What is going to happen now in classic is that rpers will have no where to rp once the realm merger happens and there will be no new rpers coming into classic mop now that the only rp realm will be locked.
ADDITONAL note. Blizzard has actually scammed everyone who took a PAID transferer off of mirage to send them back to mirage. I am sorry but everyone who took a PAID transferer deserves a refund. EU pvpers have been shafted there is no realm for pvp

How do you know the character isn’t actively being played on Mirage? What makes you so certain it’s someone being malicious and taking your character name? What are the odds even of that.

It’s the second time Blizzard has forced me to change servers and rebuild my guild. I demand a guild server transfer to go along with this. I have no interest in rebuilding it again and redoing all the achievements and progress. Will we get a guild server transfer this time?

I cannot talk for everyone but i can talk for my guild. Me as in the current Guildmaster of the original Memento Mori from back in 2005 going strong still today will be forced to change our guildname because of this move. Not only that, we will also loose our guildtabs, our achievments, rep with the guild, and so on. Where is the thoughts beyond having a “mega server” ? This feels utterly selfish on behalf of Blizzard (Read microsoft team). Not a single reply has been written from you regarding what happens to the guilds.
Where is the guild transfer? You have it coded, make it happen.

This feels extremely poorly thought out. If such a system is ever gone work, we need an actual complete merge, or it is gonna split and make issues for people.
To name a few things that are splitting a lot of people right now, is the Guild achievements, guild banks, all the effort it takes to move there. Then there is the char names so on. Why don’t we just keep the servers with asterisk like on retail, and fully open Cross realm?
All this does is making things difficult. just hold on with the merge, make an actual plan for it, like automatic transfers of guilds, automatic transfers of characters, and don’t rely on us to do “Free transfers”. Like one thing is the gold that needs to be moved, characters, factions. Like this is just a huge mess right now, that seems very much not thought trough.
if you are gonna do such a big move, at least do it for the players and don’t expect us to give up everything, and do the job for you!

Just to be clear, you can actively play the game without raiding. Additionally, the odds are bigger of someone else having the same name as you and being faster than someone maliciously targeting your name.
