yeah the cost to run a single character is expensive
i have 5 classes i have to run
ive spent easily millions of gold through gems, enchants, crafted gear
i 100% agree , they have made it too expensive for certain players to play / compete in rated content
in season 2 ill likely use less crafted gear and more vendor gear, i dont want to waste time/money
1 crafted item :
Crafted gear will costs you 40k in materials, 10-15k fee for the crafter
10-20k for the enchant
5-10k for the gems
20-40k for blood stones for the sockets
( so roughly 120k gold for 1 crafted item )
you need at least 3-4 crafted item per character so thats
120k x 4
480k gold per character
Then maybe put some effort in professions and make yourself some gold?
Itâs not that hard to make enough for enchants, crafted.gear and consumables. Even if you only pick herb/mining and spent few hours picking up things you will have enough.
Anyway, bye bye,.donât let the door hit you on your way out.
i have maxed out professions, and ive spent more money on that than the crafted orders required for the crafted gear
Alloys are 10k each
tinerboxes were 15k each
crystals - 2k each
etc
it doesnt make ANY gold but requires a lot of gold to skill up
you can pick a gathering proff and spend hours farming for what 250k gold?
time = money and its not a good investment to spend hours farming
And I have enchanting/mining and the only thing Iâve done with them is literally sell all mats from DE and ore on AH and Iâve had enough gold to fully enchant, gem and craft (2xper character) and then buy 3 tokens since release.
Also since this is pvp forums, you can make enough gold for all your needs just selling bloodstones.
they are 7k each currently on my server
thats 2500 honor for 7k
2500 honor is about 5-7 Battle grounds depend on win or loss
each Bg queue timer is 10- 20minutes
so thats 1 hour for 7k gold
it doesnt take a boffin to realise you cant survive on 7k gold an hour
a wow token at the cost of ÂŁ17 for 270k gold, working a single hour IRL job would pay that )
making it more time effective, so id rather do 1 hour overtime IRL
i dont waste away my life spending endless hours on bg blitz to farm honor jus to be able to sell bloodstones, just to be able to be slowly inch towards being equally matched against people who just buy wow tokens and inflate prices with their demand, and then i have to compete with them in ranked pvp
i have more than one toon who needs the gems/enchants
i have a job
i am over 30 years old (im not dedicating my life for this game)
i have responsibilities (i am not funding blizzardsâ greed through their tokens anymore)
Itâs passive gold so itâs not like you spend hour making it, you play arena or GS to have fun and gold comes in without you doing anything special to get it.
And 7k is enough for most enchants and gems. And at the start of expansion when enchants and gems were really expensive bloodstones were 25k a piece.
Thatâs why you sell multiple bloodstones and youâll make your gold back in no time. I canât believe people actually wasted their gold on those over priced r3 enchants lol
You call my thinking âflawedâ when itâs literally how I made gold over first month of TWW. Just picking nodes, DEing gear and selling excess bloodstones and I made enough gold to buy 3 tokens and enchant and gear my characters, so how is it flawed?
As for you having gold or not in the game is irrelevant so I have no idea why would you even bring it up.
