The main flaw in your thinking is that nobody “farms bgs for gems”. People play content they like and gold from bloodstones passively piles up. Surely you can understand that much?
i geuinelly think you have memory loss, you challenge me , i responded to you
ive taken the time to prove to you that the hours you’ve put in to make those " passive" incomes would be better spent IRL doing a single hour of work as the current market is £17 for 270k gold
lets just end this debate, you clearly do not understand
i assume you are child/ teen without a job IRL
but like myself and the OP we can do 1 hour work IRL and make more an hour
You are clearly the one who doesn’t understand that you can’t compare working to earn money to playing bgs for fun and getting gold as an added side bonus via gems. The irony…
19k gold for a chest enchant. Even 10k+ gold for best ring enchant. Honestly the wow economy is shocking.
This. I feel the same. I don’t have enough time to play this game as I have other stuff to do.
weve gone from you farming for hours, to playing bgs for hours to produce a single bloodstone " passively "
ive got nothing more to say, again i think i value my time more
- time = money, ill just 1 hour OT and make what you make in a single day playing for " fun" … in 1 hour
Time is precious.
Useful advice, 3-4k is enough for public orders.
Then just buy the token? Farming gems and nodes/disenchanting gear happens passively, you pick up herbs and ores while waiting for the queue or between quests.
Of course buying token is faster I never said otherwise so you are barking at the wrong tree.
I challenged the notion that “gearing up, enchants and gems are too expensive” when you can afford them just by playing the game smart and don’t even have to buy tokens. You think that’s not true then maybe you are just not smart enough.
when gathering doesnt equate to the market value of a token per hour
there is a economic imbalance
this all boils down to how many hours you play the game
if i play 1 hour a week then 1 hour a week of farming " passively " wont cover the cost
if im a teenager that can play 6-10 hours a day every day, then your method of " passive Farming"
MIGHT be ok
but generally speaking the average age of players are all 20-40 years old and have full time jobs
so my statement is factual
its better to just do IRL work for 1 hour to fund wow tokens
- as an adult i shouldnt need to explain this to any working adult
Your statement isn’t “factual” because you ignore the main fact that OP stated he doesn’t want to buy tokens for whatever reason (blizz greedy yadda yadda"). Do if your advice to a person who said he doesn’t want to buy token is “just buy token” then you are ridiculous.
Tbh multiple characters, all of mine are LW so I just levelled that so I can craft my own gear, just buy R2 enchants or cheaper enchants and if you can to save gold on some chars, don’t craft gear but just buy conquest pieces.
Without a token, start of expansion is definitely a sink if you have more than one char though
which one? most expensive ones are maybe 20k max.
i literally give 1-2k gold max. i never gave anything close to 15k are you insane
just use honor? there is literally no other use for honor.
its not even close to that. Its less than 100k per character. How can anyone take anything in this forum serious when people are exaggerate like crazy.
First season costs are always insane, It was the same in df.
However you can get good gold by selling your honor but you will missout on gems.
It’s just an awkward situation.
If you play more than 1 character, Then forget it if you don’t play the game 24/7 or are not willing to pay to win then you have no chance.
exactly.
from an expansion they sold as " alt friendly"
its not very friendly
It’s alt friendly, It’s not minmax friendly.
Unlike other expacs where a fresh character couldn’t even play the game.
rerolling to compete in rated content, for someone with a full time job that can play maybe 6 hours a week
id say it wasnt Alt friendly
you are incentivized to stick to 1 class/ character even with the XP boosts to leveling
id love to see someone with just vendor gear compete with crafted gear, its no contest. embellishments are literally 15%-20% more dmg
Yes I’m sure you need fully bis enchants and maxed gems to play your alta at 1600 rating, silver enchants just won’t do it…
I run bronze enchants and silver, golds are way to expensive for me.
I blew 2 million gold on wow tokens a few days ago. I just see gold for enchants as a waste.
If i was still pushing r1 or glad I would go for golds, But I’m a casual player now and mostly play on weekends.
this thread has people agreeing with prices being too high, to a… just buy cheap stuff
but the underlining issue still present as the OP stated.
its WAY TOO EXPENSIVE
i agree though in s2 ill stick to 1 class and ditch the others
Mats are going to be cheaper as seasons continue, So you could probably afford 2 chars.
