Well, is anyone really surprised?
10min lackluster kill and collect quest against the punching bag crusade whos now about as threatening as a box of kittens.
I understand Blizz seems hellbent on this fighting together narritive and while I dont like it, I can accept it. I can not accept the Forsaken aid being there when it was -completely- uneeded. I mean god damn the Defias Brotherhood invading a vinyard in Northshire abbey felt more threatening.
Why couldnt the Gilneans have their moment in the sun after a decade of waiting? You want Horde to be able to take part in it? fine. Why not have them “help” in the fringes. I know they want to make amens for what theyve done so why not let them in the shadows or something? maybe the SC were sending in reinforcents unknown to the Gilneas and the Forsaken stopped them from breaking through or something, I dont know but sharing this with the Forsaken left a horridly bitter taste in my mouth.
I was hoping, like a fool that the reason this whole thing was kept under wraps from the PTR was because it was going to be epic and they didnt want any spoilers or leeks. Oh the hubris… it was a great big ball of nothing. No epic moments that even resemble the incredible speech given by Liam greymane to get the Gilneans all pumped up. Just ah “Well the forsaken are gone, now we need to clear out the rifraff and set up shop I guess. Oh the very people that drove us out are here to help? well tickle my nipple with a feather , that sounds like a smashing good plan.”
Also…where the hell was Crowley! oh just …there, fighting random SC # 34 I mean come on! do the Crowleys really not deserve more then that after all theyve done and been through…christ on a bike Blizzard.
Oh yeah and the transmog set, felt like a being kicked while already down. Its just…not good… the orignal heritage armour felt like a joke and now its like kicking a dead horse. Gilneas have been deprived of so much I feel like we sit on the bench with the Gnomes in terms of the games running gag of constant misery and giving us the bare minimum.
Gilneans deserve better then this. I can only hope with the War within they finally shoot this “hold hands and family” Rhetoric in the back of the head.

I want to believe Chris Metzen is not involced in this ****show and is full hands on WW to make it epic. He did sound at bcon like it was going to be epic. A cool sensical story. He did say that people who left long ago ARE GOING TO WANT to come back for this.
So yes I hope this is just because Metzen has to delegate and Dragonflight is too late to turn around (story wise, the expansion is good) so hes focusing solely on blowing our minds with the world souls saga. Lets not forget he has to lay out not one but 3 expansions worth of stories and writing.
But yeah if WW is more of the same we will know that no matter who is in charge it will be crap as long as the powers that be are in charge of blizzard…
errr No. I am well on my way out for good this time. If anything DF has been a lackluster expansion with nothing thrilling or epic let alone memorable. Even BFA was far far better than this crap pack.

I haven’t even played it. But I saw Calia there on youtube and assumed the Forsaken who murdered you and drove you out of your home.
Got a happy go lucky lets be friends quetline like Lillian and Shandris did.
And everything was aaaall forgotten and we all hugged it out? x)
Imagine… All of Teldrassil and its burning and everyone who died. Was just forgotten and forgiven because Shandris and Lillian went out for an adventure.

This is what im praying for aswell. Otherwise really and truly wow is dead becuase as good as the gameplay systems may be and may improve, like they have in DF, the story sets the narrative and spirit of the game. And if the soul isnt there the game will only ever have be a 5/10 at most and this will just kill the player base.

Well, looking at the style of the Dragonflight story I knew it would be a disappointment, but it was even worse lol. And the fact that I took part in the reclaiming of Gilneas as a forsaken is the stupidest thing the new writers from blizzard have come up with.

Completely agree how underwhelming it was completed it in 10mins I had to google non stop surely there must be more to this patch? This is sign of things to come I’m certain of it

Except that this and the heritage isn’t even that due to the vivid colors. Like how did they even mess that up when they could just reference the colors from the OG cata designs. And even Kul’Tiras had a somewhat similar tone to it.
And the cool story will likely get absolutely crapped on as bad fanfic by you lot anyway no matter how good it actually is
Questing was ok, outcome was meh. Armor and mount, especially the armor is the worst thing they have produced since BFA.
