I don’t understand what there is to be confused about. Do you really think in any war when there is peace that people magically start feeling differently. That change comes with time and often generations.
He recognises his own shortcomings in this respect which is why he hands leadership over to Tess. Ofc he can’t forget what has happened, nor should he be expected to.
I think they did it all very well. He only lets the Horde assist because Tess essentially vouches for us. He trusts her.
And if I remember right, she was close to Calia. Her being on the Forsaken council must have helped her with trust. Don’t remember if Lillian had any contact with Tess
I’m not arguing, just bad metaphor, doesn’t apply to Warcraft, you basically wastefully used human privilege to communicate in text form.
But hey ignorance is a great way to live
Agreed, even if I am not sure how much it helped. While her father was a good king with that name, Arthas put a stain on it that would also cross his mind.
Yes, but many Forsaken early on did nothing wrong, undeath being their only sin. Many tried to return to their life’s only to be butchered as monstrosities. That’s why they called the self Forsaken. Glenn was always someone to hold to a grudge, her just being undead could have be a problem.
Wait, wasn’t Calia like a longer period of time in Gilneas as a child? Like for learning something or as a gesture between the kingdoms? Need to reread the novel
I remembered wrong. It was Jaina she was close friend with and she married in secret a footsoldier and became pregnant. Her mother knew of it and helped her keep it a secret till Arthas married and became the legitimate heir officially. But when he killed his father, she fled to her husband and daughter, who were in a village far away (to not cause political issues). There she lived with them till the blight attacks. To much lore. Easily to mix stuff
As much as I understand your point of view, creating a conflict between a faction that helped clear the Blight they brought for a conflict that happen within the Warcraft lore almost 20 years ago (including SL timeskip), would be the equivalent of starting a war over grudges, not because of necessity.
So you rather would fight your own undead countryman, just because? Many of the Forsaken are undead Gilneas that died at said massacre. It seems to me that you want just another massacre because it feels right with you… The Forsaken helping Gilneas are not only the ones that cause that. Many were risen during or after the war. Many that were in that war already died during later conflicts. Not to mention the whole regime changed from monarchy to republican… It’s not even the same “state”
