Refund request denied

Hello.

I accidently bought a game subscription for the wrong bnet account (A bnet account where I don’t play WoW on) and right after the purchase I realised it was the wrong bnet account, so I wrote a ticket for a refund, and I instantly got denied a refund!?

What kind of treatment is this for a valued customer over many years, this is disgraceful!

With “instantly” did you mean you utilised the automated option or received a reply with no GM name?

Provided that you have not played the license at all I recommend re-opening the ticket for manual review, in almost all cases they will still award a refund.

If it was instant, then it was the automatic refund system. Sometimes for various factors and reasons, it denies the refund. Especially if you’ve had previous refunds.

Just open a GM ticket and ask them to review it.

Edit: Saneko beat me to it.

As SOON as I paid for the subscription I realised it was for the wrong account. I requested a refund and I got denied… I have not played or even created a character on that account!
The ticket updated to “Resolved” and said I was denied a refund, even though I made it straight after purchasing.

Yeah I’ve done so, I hope so because now I’d paid twice for the subcription.

So 10 days ago?

Just ask them to move it to the right account.

No, JUST this minute.

I’ve tried and tried again but they’re instantly denying my refund on my other account. The ticket system is an absolute joke now.

If it was a ticket then it was quite a few days ago.

If you tried to use the automatic system and it isn’t working, then you need to open a real ticket.

What? I don’t understand what you mean. I came back to WoW when this pre-patch become live, right this minute, not a few days ago. How do you even open a real ticket? It’s insanely hard to even do so without so many other options.

I currently have a ticket, that’s apparently been opened but heard nothing since.

Status: Opened

Ah well, I have bad news for you. Waiting times can be as long as 14+ days atm but the good news for refunds is that what matters is when you made it and not when it gets answered so you’re fine from that moment.

Just make sure to not login or use that wrongly bought sub.

I just hope I get a refund for that other account because I’m not wasting £9.99 on nothing.

Get a refund via BANK - do a chargeback or report as fraud  - that may help .. Looks like UK, I do it all the time with broken stuff from Argos - only if Blizzard wont help of course.

This’ll ban the payment method and the whole account… Not to mention that Blizzard in question did deliver a service so it can be considered fraud.

I won’t do that but I’m going to keep an eye on my ticket. Shocking how many days it could possibly take though.

Yep, they’re aware of that EU response here and some more detailed US response here.

I think it can get even longer when DF actually hits o_O

I hope they do issue it because of the time it’ll take for them to actually resolve the ticket in that case. I did it ASAP.

They will go by when you bought the sub and when you made the ticket. So long as they were close together and you haven’t played on the account you should get a refund.

They accountban people who perform a chargeback. Or at least they used to. So, yeah, really NOT recommended.

It is quite likely the payment had not fully processed. Whilst it authorises the transaction with your bank, the payment will actually clear overnight (or up to 48hrs) into Blizzard’s account. So it may be being refused simply because they have not received the funds to refund you yet. Try again today and tomorrow and if it works, cancel the ticket. Remember NOT to log into the account that you put the sub on though.

The only time I logged on was accidental thinking it was my main, I don’t have a created character on it though, so I haven’t played it at all.
