factually wrong, tho! They’re Alliance, they literally cannot be bad :relieved:

Only mistake Lightbound made was that they allowed orcs and ogres to join them.

Should’ve just started a genocidal campaign against every orc and orc-like species to remove their evil from alt-Draenor.

And he made the right choice, was the greater point.

My friend, for the past decade I have RPed a Scarlet Crusader with the slight headcanon idea of angels as they exist in the mythos of the Church of the Holy Light being an interpreration of the Naaru who revealed themselves to the first human priests of the Light.

I’m not sure I am the right person to accuse of hating the Light.

Yes.

Under the manipulation of a seemingly omniscient outlander who not only predicted several major events to a tee but also forewarned them of the burning legion’s scheme and helped them defeat the shadow council and slay mannaroth. Then, this unmatched seer went on to proclaim that there was only one way to prepare against being exterminated by invaders from another world as well as their local draenei.

In what world wouldn’t they believe this man who guided them through those difficult times as well as they could have possibly hoped for? It’s not like they one day woke up and said: yep, lets start killing.

You know who did, after peace came to that world in the wake of archimonde’s defeat? The draenei.

One side needed a time traveller’s expert manipulation. The other? They did what comes naturally to them.

Do you really think that average joe from Shattrath know all of that? XD Orcs came, sacked his home, violated his sister and killed his brother. Time for revenge.
Also we dont know details about how their conflict started, we have only orcish PoV aaand orcs and their players likes to defend their crimes but feel victimized when someone is delivering their soup to them, not sure if I can take that seriously.

And this is why I mentioned hoping you weren’t posting IC on the forums.

Neither I nor you are average joe from shattrath we are humans on a wow forum

That book the lightbound wrote about how they were going to enslave or kill everyone was from an orc perspective?

Link so I can read more?

We arent, but when exploring someones motivations you have to consider such stuff, as student of history I can confirm that context is important.

Not only that, he also created a false sense of finality when it came to demonic corruption by killing (in a way that wouldn´t lead back to him) the shaman who was giving Grommash the vision of future in the right moment, just before Thrall met Grommash. This meant that Grommash was left with a vision of permanently broken, enslaved orcs and Warsong as doomed last remnant of corrupted abominations that the orcs became, exactly as this mysterious stranger told him.
10/10 plan, Garry proved himself to once again be the most galaxy brain person in the entire WoW universe.

Found in the maghar recruitment scenario, among the lightbound forces.

Yeah like I said, man was doing some top tier time traveller hijinks.

Said motivations can be found in the sermon I linked above and narrowed down to “We really love the Light and our allies should too or die because I think that is right.”

I did the scenario but havent read this item I guess. Well I agree that this looks like a zealotry and the npcs were talking similarly if I remember correctly. Altough I wouldn’t discard their bad expierence and new from us as irrelevant and supporting the couse.
"Look the orcs attacked us and in the other reality they won, let’s convert them to be sure they do not attack us again and maybe take the fight against our enemies up later*

Simple, remove Velen and Draenei will go after others so others dont go after them 1st. It isnt ofc justified, however understandable. My character have similar mentality, altough I want to calm her down.

Nice lies, Tehya.

The Light Mother has blessed me with visions.

Guess it doesn’t come natural to the draenei either when their leader is bieng fed visions by the Light’s version of an Old God.

But when its the orcs, they’re innocent.
When its the draenei “oh it comes naturally to them”.

I don’t see any lie here you will have to point it out for me maybe or instead bow your head 5000 times to apologize.
Is it about a naaru being involved? Because then maybe read the discussion you’re jumping into because you’d see that I wrote

Sorry for not asterisking ‘*and a naaru’ everytime I mentioned the draenei, I suppose?

Yeah but this isn’t the reasoning used. They even call them noble allies, it’s literally just a whim because of 1 vision because the draenei become zealous attack dogs when velen isn’t around.

Ye, this have to be said, Velen is the most conected Draenei to the Light and he is the least zealous of them, despite sharing the burdens of his entire ppl and going trough so much. I would already go full war crime mode if I would be in his place.

They were pacifists when they arrived on Draenor… After Ogres and Orcs… and Legion still being in their trail… I would be hateful too. Velen is too soft. I blame him OOC for Shattrath. Preemptive attack when the orcs were clearly gathering against them would solve everything.

I am not. I sincerely think Draenei, aswell as Night Elfs(or any other race in warcraft), are willing to wait multiple generations for revenge as they are such a long lived race.

There is a reason the (N)Elf-Troll hatred is still a thing. Many hundreds generations passed between the Zandalari Trolls and the Night Elves, yet shrunken NElf heads are still a expensive, and wanted, trophy in the Zandalari culture, while I doubt most had seen one in many, many, generations.

Eye for an eye; but for some RPers its strange when it includes races that lives for hundreds, if not thousands, of years…

Example; Shandris is willing to rebuild NElf societyand then take revenge… And with their low birthrate, it might take more then… shocker, 2 generations.

I have said it before and I will say it again

In every instance where the draenei are without Velen’s guidance, they become exceptionally violent and cruel.

Lightbound, Lightforged, Sargerei, Eredar, Broken, Lost Ones, Ashtongues, Sha’tari, Auchenai. All without Velen. All cruel.

What do night elves and longevity have to do with it brother the events in question span give or take 40 years??

He is the one that doesn’t immediately kneejerk into full lunacy yes, good lad.

real

You would be too after everything they went trough, consider their lifetime aswell, one single individual could live trough all of that… that will simply fill you with hatred, bittereness, distrust and zeal. They just wanted to live in peace and entire universe is after them becouse in their “cruely and zealousness” they refused Sargeras’s offer. Simply don’t antagonize Draenei and you are all good, easy, but not antagonizing anyone seems something Horde player can’t comprehend. You attacked first, you had it coming, easy.
