Regrettable names

What is the most regrettable and embarrassing names that any of you guys have name your chars.

Mine might get me into trouble if I write it here LOL. I was never reported for it but did pay to change it.

I checked and there are several player called my old name haha.

I once had a character named something close to Diddler (it was a long time ago). I didn’t know what the word meant, I just thought it sounded funny. English is not my main language, but a kind Englishman let me know what it meant (or what it was referring to) and that character is no more.

Not my personal character names, I don’t have any I regret in that way, but on my travels iv’e seen a dwarf called “Bonerfart”

My dumbest name must be my vulperas, which is just ‘desertfox’ in my language. I normally name my characters lore friendly and reasonable, but my “love” for vulperas is known and so it shows also on that horrible name.

But in my guild we’ve had people with references to family jewels and adult actions. The worst offender was guy, who had “violent sexual act” as their name. I reported him with explanation and advised Blizzard to use google translate if they dont trust me. The guy got free name change.

Longthoot, not knowing how to spell “tooth” yet at the time. Also a guild my friend and I wanted to create in vanilla, named “The dragon Fhigters” same problem, not knowing how to spell it

remembers me of another games character name i once had when i was just learning english called Witesky (WhiteSky).

makes me cringe every time i think about it. :smile:

I chose what I thought was a perfectly suitable name for my Tauren, then all my Scandivian friends started whispering me. Even though Runk is a character in the game it has another meaning. Eventually when even pugs would react I decided it was time for the name to go.

I named one of my characters ‘‘zelaw’’ which I thought was somewhat funny at the time, but about 2 days later I couldn’t even log into that character anymore because of it.

When tauren paladins were first released, I created one named “Swisscow” - it was a joke based on the fact that I’m Swiss, tauren are “cows” and the biggest phone/internet operator here is called “Swisscom” - it was really cringy, it didn’t last very long.

Unless you count beta testing characters (which I tend to name things like Desk, Lampshade or Bookcase coz I really CBA) then this is probably my dumbest name…
its just ‘a monk’ backwards.

I named one of my rogues alt: Unas. Thought it was nice. Until my first group content and saw other players switch two letters and me going: Why didn’t I think of that happening?

Still is called Unas though.

Edit: No I didn’t report those players or got annoyed, I was actually in tears from laughing that I missed something that obvious. Also it was all in good fun and not them being nasty. :stuck_out_tongue:
