Hi I moved away from my very low pop / dead server, where I had a great guild. On the new server I am struggling to find guilds that are friendly, chilled out and like my old guild. Still finding myself on my old guild’s discord chatting to them etc.
On the new server, every guild seems to raid on Sundays, and they all use Loot Council. I didn’t expect the guilds to be so different from my previous server. I guess there are different “metas” on each server!
I have been on the new server for 3 weeks and not sure what to do. Anyone else regretted their transfer and what did you do about it?
For another transfer is it 90 days Complete cool down or just 90days before you can go back to your original server? I play ally on judgement now, low pop but have Alts on gandling and earthshaker. Small pop servers imo are way better and have much tighter/nicer communities.
I feel for you arbet! Don’t really know what to suggest other than make an alt elsewhere and try other places while transfer is on CD
Did you do any research at all before transfering? Based on the forum threads you have been making since classic launch I could have told you that you that there are a lot of guilds on Earthshaker where you wouldn’t fit in. I’ve also told other people on these forums that they should not expect a warm welcome if they decide to transfer to Earthshaker.
How did you come to this conclusion? The 5+ minutes delay on the onyxia/nefarian buffs going out around 19.00 on Wednesdays should indicate that this is not true.
I did research, and I have leveld a character to lvl 40 on Earthshaker. Just figured that with it being 10x bigger than my old server, there would be 10 x the number of casual guilds like mine. Doesnt seem the case at all.
Obvisouly I am exaggerating to say everyone plays on Sundays. But it is true, a lot of guilds expect you to have Sundays free as a raid day. Specifically, as a tank, there are not many guilds recruiting for tanks atm, and the ones that are, just happen to not fit with me.
Every guild seems to take the game too seriously and act like they are some hardcore speedrunners, even guilds that advertise themselves as casual.
I mean I take the gameplay seriously and I am a good player but I play the game because of the community and because of other players, and I am realising that perhaps moving was a mistake.
Every guild seems to be filled entirely with scandinavians too. I much prefer playing with other Brits as you can have a lot more of a laugh.
eh I am just ranting really. I had a look on the Support website and with refunds on services, it said “We will try to assist you” and didn’t say outright that refunds cant be done on transfers. So I’ve made a ticket and we shall see.
Oh, you moved to Earthshaker alliance? Can’t blame ya for not liking it, that place i horrible. Should transfer to horde, or go back to your old realm where yer buddies are awaiting your return.
Earthshaker is one of the sweatiest servers there is so it’s not surprising you can’t find a friendly and social raiding guild as my experience with ES players is that the majority are elitist min maxers. It’s a shame you have a CD as I’d have told you to come to Gandling and join Hex as we try to push raid content as much as possible but we’re also a family and have a lot of laughs.
Edit: We raid Sunday so on second thought it wouldn’t be a good fit for you
That’s so weird, I have the exact opposite experience.
I remember ppl crying on forums about not being able to find people even for the normal leveling/dung runs and I had no problems with this at all, while minmaxers usually prefer boosting
It all depends on the player - I do min max myself but I level my characters normally through questing and dungeon runs because I enjoy it I was mainly talking about the raiding/pvp scene on ES. Leveling on ES probably is better than most realms because it has a big player base and from last I heard a decent A:H ratio.
Yea, I played as Horde shaman on Firemaw server before, but this server was such a mess for me and I just couldn’t get use to the Horde cities so I decided to go as Alliance again and ES still feels pretty damn good
