If they’re releasing Dire Maul with all its catchup gear, I think it doesn’t make sense to keep gating Sunken Temple class quests. They would mostly only be for levelers anyway, as the gear is okayish-at-best. At the same time, they’re really nice from class fantasy perspective.

Silithus quests are heavily tied to that zone and events so it’s rather not something that can be split. And there is way more quests for leveling than needed already 
and players at 60 should and usually do quests like these due to high gold reward from max level bonus.
Quests like “kill scorpions” or “kill cultists” really aren’t. Lore-wise they seem to be before AQ War Effort too.
In this situation they shouldn’t because of future CC rep.
Pre-AQ Silithus was a different zone. They didn’t reverted it to the pre-AQ state in Classic. Scorpions/worms killing is to get meat for the troops and we get a recipe from cultists camp. Cultists that are aligned with C’Thun and by lore moved there “soon” before us - and CC also sends us to see why are they here and in such numbers.
You can already farm it 1 rep per kill but those mobs don’t drop the gear sets needed for summoning nor do they drop letters for turn ins.

To be honest I found it a little weird they opened up Sunken Temple and then not release the Class Quests associated with it.
Though if they follow the Phases as listed the Dungeon Tier will not get much of a time to shine, either, and I will not even get into the staggered release of the PvP content, it’s too depressing.
But yeah, releasing the ST Quests would make more sense than Dire Maul so they might as well do that, too - now it appears they put little thought into the releases (read the Sticky, they put off Dire Maul for reasons that haven’t changed) which in turn erodes even more faith in them.
Letting Ion make the dire announcement didn’t help, either.
